ZZ Top's Sharp Dressed Man. I wasn't going to share these on Fando as they are not all the best quality but I figured that's just the way these fall. I've not posted this one before. Relatively new to the set and we opened with this on the day which is why I am faffing about with my amp for the first few bars. recorded live at Music In The Rec Durrington July 2014 "Sharp Dressed Man" is a song performed by ZZ Top from their album Eliminator released in 1983. The song was produced by band manager Bill Ham, and recorded and mixed by Terry Manning. Pre-production recording engineer Linden Hudson was very involved in the early stages of this song's production. At 2007's VH1 Rock Honors, Nickelback covered the song as a tribute (Billy Gibbons had earlier made a guest appearance on Nickelback's own song "Rockstar"). ZZ Top played this song at halftime of the 2008 FedEx Orange Bowl. The song is currently used as the opening theme for A&E's Duck Dynasty.

Dum Vivimus Vivamus is a Roman motto translated from the Latin into English as While We Live, Let Us Live. This song is a montage of miniature protest songs. The ever saddening news over recent weeks and days prompted the words in the song. We drift on the outgoing tide at our peril. While We Live © Robin J Rendell Verse 1 The camel is stuck in the eye of a needle Under the wing of a homesick seagull Crawl past the guards at the gate Crawl past the guards at the gate Painted ponies jump over the easel Hang out to dry with the Greek and the Angel Cut yourself loose from the bait Cut yourself loose from the bait Verse 2 Fire blows cold in a corner of winter Poke three dogs with a frozen finger Pour on the oil and stand back Pour on the oil and stand back Inch by inch through No Man’s Cinder Poppies grow on human tinder Run with the wolves in the pack Run with the wolves in the pack Bridge Summon the gods of those gone before us Pray to the moon and the solstial chorus The future is Gemini, Leo and Taurus Dum vivimus vivamus Dum vivimus vivamus While we live, let us live While we live, let us live Verse 3 Boondoggle preachers feed on the crisis Lights go out when the last sun rises Walk in the peacemaker’s shoes Walk in the peacemaker’s shoes Russian dolls in uniform sizes Clothes on your back your enemy despises Pay the ferryman his dues Pay the ferryman his dues Verse 4 Painted ponies and bareback riders Gathering clouds of masters and minders Ban the bombs for old time’s sake Ban the bombs for old time’s sake Caught in nests of hornets and vipers Dance to the tune of who pays the pipers Some day is one day too late Some day is one day too late Repeat Bridge Summon the gods of those gone before us Pray to the moon and the solstial chorus The future is Gemini, Leo and Taurus Dum vivimus vivamus Dum vivimus vivamus While we live, let us live While we live, let us live Dum vivimus vivamus Dum vivimus vivamus While we live, let us live While we live, let us live While we live, let us live While we live, let us live

Deep Ellum Blues .. A traditional song from long ago..The "Deep Elm Blues" is an American traditional song. The title of the tune refers to the "Colored Red Light District" in downtown Dallas, Texas, known as "Deep Ellum." Sometimes the song's title is also spelled "Deep Elem" or "Deep Ellum."[1] The first known recording was made by the Cofer Brothers under the name of The Georgia Black Bottom on OKeh Records. The Shelton Brothers recorded various versions of this song, the first being cut in 1933 with Leon Chappelear under the pseudonym of Lone Star Rangers for Bluebird Records. They recorded it again in 1935 for Decca Records followed by "Deep Elm No.2" and "Deep Elm No.3". Les Paul (as Rhubarb Red) recorded "Deep Elem Blues" and "Deep Elem Blues #2" on Decca in 1936. The Sheltons also recorded it in the 1940s as "Deep Elm Boogie" for King Records. Other versions of the song were made between 1957 and 1958 by Jerry Lee Lewis for Sun Records, by Mary McCoy & the Cyclones for Jin Records and, later, by Jerry Garcia, the Grateful Dead, Levon Helm, the Infamous Stringdusters, Rory Gallagher and most recently by Redhorse Black. The Telecaster offers the twang and raw tone for this recording.. ENJOY!!

I know, You know Written and produced by Jim Jenkin I sent Jay this song, he gave me tons of ideas for melodies. I wrote some lyrics and Jay added his magical voice to them and some nice guitar fills along the way. I added my vocal to his ... hoping not to ruin his in the process. :-) Jay Lemay: vocals, funky electric fills and tasty classical guitar. Jim Jenkin: vocals, guitars, bass, keyboards, drum programming, percussion. I've loved you all my life took another wife... and my sorrow clearly shows I know, you know that it's all about the show Now we just pretend pretending we're just friends... and we hope that no one knows It doesn't matter anyway you're so far away What more needs to be said? I sleep with a stranger in my bed You were my first dance never thought I had a chance... and then decades slipped away When I came around you were looking to be found... and we both changed our ways So I wrote this song, full knowing that it's wrong... I just can't help myself I know, you know that my love would surely grow It doesn't matter anyway you're so far away What more needs to be said? I sleep with a stranger in my bed I'm looking so far ahead guided by your smile in my head As I hit my stride, you always say goodbye... my disappointment is hard to hide I watch you disappear, the picture is so clear... or some lyric just as snide I could not resist a kiss from your soft lips... How did I ever let you go? I know, you know that it's time to let it go time to go our separate ways we'll meet again someday What more needs to be said? I sleep with a stranger in my bed goodbye my love goodbye my love
