Chris Moore - All Instruments, Vocals - History One of the last songs from my days in Bordeaux, I was thinking about how shallow life can be these days after reading Hemingway's "For Whom the Bell Tolls" and this one came out. Thanks for listening, Chris Lyrics: In history I could have been at Agincourt In the burning fields with the dogs of war In history I could have been a hero Immortalised by legend evermore In history everything is possible In history And where’s adventure now the world’s got no ends You can tweet through your iPhone to your five thousand friends You get experience from restaurants and watching TV No there ain’t nothing there for me And we fly to virgin lands to drink imported daiquiri A window on the world from a seat in economy And life is passing by all the time out there no There ain’t nothing there for me In history everything is possible In history immortalised by fire Feel those wheels of fortune turning slow and I ask myself Will everything be possible tomorrow? Hey Hello Chris Moore 2017 I don't really do love songs, but somehow this one slipped through the net. This is a slow jazz-funk tune, with a lazy rhythm that I've found to be really infectious while I've been recording and mixing it, and now I'll have to admit that I'm addicted. I'm even listening to it while I'm writing this. (Narcissism or what???) Takes a long time to slow yourself down to 86bpm, but when you do, it just flows... and mixing/producing a tune like this, you have a lot of time to get into the weeds, because anything that's more than 30 milliseconds out sounds just plain wrong. It's taken me about a week of late nights to get it done, and now it's finally finished I can start working on the collab it was keeping me from. Thanks for listening!Chris

Before you get too excited, this one is me, rather than my dog - even if she got more plays than I did with the last one... It's called Land of Dreams - another bit of alternative pop/rock/jazz, a nice little piano break in the middle and an instrumental ending. And a few silly comments in the "video" which isn't really a video if I'm honest, just a tired old picture and some words... Thanks for listening!Chris

A silly post for a Sunday. Definitely the Alternative genre for this one. My dog Lola practising her arpeggios... was that a major 7th at the end...? Enjoy.

I started this song in 2010, and every time I was flicking through my catalogue of ideas, Ticia said "leave that one on for a little while" so I thought maybe I'd better "finish" it. Well here it is, for better or for worse - the first half of the vocal was recorded seven years ago, and the rest and some of the guitars and nuances in 2017. The original idea came after listening to a Tom Petty album, then the chorus got a bit Eddie and the Hot Rods from my New Wave youth. I enjoyed it, anyway! Thanks for listening :) Chris

I wrote this song in December 2010 but I never put it up anywhere because it wasn't quite right... And last week i picked it up again, and got the guitar out, and changed the bass-line completely, and re-did the vocals - and I finished it today. It's changed a lot since the beginning, and i'm nearly happy with it now - although maybe I'll come back to it another time and do it completely differently... Thanks for listening! Chris

I see so many people getting involved in polarised arguments on the net, whether it's about politics or anything else - the lyrics for this one came out of that. See if you can work out whose music I'd been listening to when I wrote the backing track though. Answers on a comment, if you have the time... Thanks for listening All the best my friends Chris

My first new song with vocals for about five years - the voice has got a bit rusty, more practice needed! Hopefully the first of a few more... Thanks for listening, I really appreciate it :) Chris

It's been a very long time since I "finished" anything new. About five years, in fact! Somehow I'm not finding the words to write lyrics right now, so this one is an instrumental I've been putting together over the last couple of days. The studio's not up and running yet, my hardware synths are still keeping warm in their covers, so this one is pretty much all Dimension Pro. But it seems to me that it's complete like it is. Starts out jazz, then goes to a few different places, so I guess it's a kind of fusion...? Ah, what does the genre matter anyway! Thanks for listening! Chris

From time to time I get in a classical mood. I wrote this in the winter of 2005/6 and recorded it using the sounds I had at the time. I found my original midi recording file the other day and updated the sounds using Dimension Pro - it's still not perfect, but I'd have to re-do it from scratch to get it better. It's quite a long piece, but there are a lot of melodies in there, if you've got the patience... Thanks for listening! Chris

This was a little inspired improvisation that came to me one day back in 2006. Don't know how the hell it happened, but I think there was a lot of Macallan 12 year old involved... When I listened to it, I called it Satire, because I thought it had a little bit of Eric Sati in it, but maybe that was just my wishful thinking! Thanks for listening Chris

Another track from our band GSM: Chris Georgiou, Gabriel Sabadi and Chris Moore, with the addition of Mike Aurigemma on drums. This was the last song we did together, but maybe there'll be more one day, who knows...?

A quieter track I wrote in Bordeaux in 2009, with lyrics partly in French and partly in English: A cette heure a ce jour C'est notre fete mon amour Les nuits de rien sauf ta peau Qui m'enrobe avec tes mots Angel, t'es ma belle Les heures profondes I know them well Et sur les dunes de temps perdu The sands of time will wait for you My angel Sans aucun mot on n'a pas besoin Je vois mon ange the world is one Et a cette heure a ce jour C'est notre fete mon amour Angel, t'es ma belle Les heures profondes I know them well Et sur les dunes de temps perdu The sands of time will wait for you My angel music & lyrics copyright Chris Moore 2009

Another song from GSM - this one's more rock than progressive - incredible production by Gabriel Sabadi, atmospheric guitars from Chris Georgiou, and the basics on keys, lyrics and vocals from me. Hope you enjoy it and thanks for listening! Chris Copyright Georgiou/Sabadi/Moore 2011

This was, in my opinion, the best song we produced as GSM. It's a long track, and very reminiscent of Pink Floyd, but if you get to the guitar break at 5.50, I promise you that you'll be glad you did! This song was my first collab with Gabriel Sabadi back at the beginning of 2009, after which Chris Georgiou joined the two of us to form GSM. Not sure how to describe it, but Art Rock is the best description we could come up with. Piano, synth, vocals and lyrics - Chris Moore Orchestration, synths, production - Gabriel Sabadi
