Phuk You Tube!! d q, Today we are announcing changes to the YouTube Partner Program (YPP). While our goal remains to keep the YPP open to as many channels as possible, we recognize we need more safeguards in place to protect creator revenue across the YouTube ecosystem. LEARN MORE What's Changing Under the new eligibility requirements announced today, your YouTube channel, d q, is no longer eligible for monetization because it doesn’t meet the new threshold of 4,000 hours of watch-time within the past 12 months and 1,000 subscribers. As a result, your channel will lose access to all monetization tools and features associated with the YouTube Partner Program on February 20, 2018 unless you surpass this threshold in the next 30 days. Accordingly, this email serves as 30 days notice that your YouTube Partner Program terms are terminated. One of YouTube’s core values is to provide anyone the opportunity to earn money from a thriving channel. Creators who haven’t yet reached this new threshold can continue to benefit from our Creator Academy, our Help Center, and all the resources on the Creator Site to grow their channels. Once your channel reaches the new threshold, it will be reviewed to make sure it adheres to our policies and guidelines, and if so, monetization will be re-enabled.

Cheers for Sydney!!Syd was a f... ounding member of Pink Floyd, You must have heard of them. Lots of... read more great music from them.Through late 1967 and early 1968, Barrett's behaviour became increasingly erratic and unpredictable, partly as a consequence of his reported heavy use of psychedelic drugs, most prominently LSD.[8] There is also much speculation that he suffered from schizophrenia. Once described as joyful, friendly, and extroverted, he became increasingly depressed and socially withdrawn, and experienced hallucinations, disorganized speech, memory lapses, intense mood swings, and periods of catatonia.[4] Although the changes began gradually, he went missing for a long weekend and, according to several friends including Rick Wright, came back "a completely different person."[4] One of the striking features of his change was the development of a blank, empty, dead-eyed stare. He was unable to recognize old friends that he had known for years, and often did not know where he was. At one point, while on a tour of the city of Los Angeles, Barrett is said to have exclaimed, "Gee, it sure is nice to be in Las Vegas!"[4] Many reports described him on stage, strumming one chord through the entire concert, or not playing at all.[70] At a show at The Fillmore in San Francisco, during a performance of "Interstellar Overdrive", Barrett slowly detuned his guitar. The audience seemed to enjoy such antics, unaware of the rest of the band's consternation. Interviewed on Pat Boone's show during this tour, Syd's reply to Boone's questions was a "blank and totally mute stare," according to Nick Mason, "Syd wasn't into moving his lips that day." Barrett exhibited similar behaviour during the band's first appearance on Dick Clark's popular TV show American Bandstand.[71] Although surviving footage of this appearance shows Barrett miming his parts of the song competently,[72] during a group interview afterwards, when asked two questions by Clark, Barrett's answers were terse, almost to the point of rudeness (though, Clark noted, they had been flying non-stop from London to Los Angeles). During this time, Barrett would often forget to bring his guitar to sessions, damage equipment and occasionally was unable to hold his pick.[73] Before a performance in late 1967, Barrett reportedly crushed Mandrax tranquilliser tablets and an entire tube of Brylcreem into his hair, which subsequently melted down his face under the heat of the stage lighting,[74] making him look like "a guttered candle".[75] Nick Mason later disputed the Mandrax portion of this story, stating that "Syd would never waste good mandies".

Happy Birthday John Paul Jones )LED ZEPPELIN ) During his time as a session player, Jones often crossed paths with guitarist Jimmy Page,[18] a fellow session veteran. In June 1966, Page joined The Yardbirds, and in 1967 Jones contributed to that band's Little Games album. The following winter, during the sessions for Donovan's The Hurdy Gurdy Man, Jones expressed to Page a desire to be part of any projects the guitarist might be planning.[19] Later that year, The Yardbirds disbanded, leaving Page and bassist Chris Dreja to complete previously booked Yardbirds dates in Scandinavia. Before a new band could be assembled, Dreja left to take up photography. Jones, at the suggestion of his wife,[16] asked Page about the vacant position, and the guitarist eagerly invited Jones to collaborate. Page later explained: I was working at the sessions for Donovan's Hurdy Gurdy Man, and John Paul Jones was looking after the musical arrangements. During a break, he asked me if I could use a bass player in the new group I was forming. He had a proper music training, and he had quite brilliant ideas. I jumped at the chance of getting him.[20] Vocalist Robert Plant and drummer John Bonham joined the two to form a quartet. Initially dubbed the "New Yardbirds" for the Scandinavian dates, the band soon became known as Led Zeppelin. Contribution to the band[edit] Derivative of Jones's triquetra sigil used in the untitled album commonly known as Led Zeppelin IV Jones was responsible for the classic bass lines of the group, notably those in "Ramble On" and "The Lemon Song" (Led Zeppelin II), and shifting time signatures, such as those in "Black Dog" (Led Zeppelin IV). As half of Led Zeppelin's rhythm section with drummer John Bonham, Jones shared an appreciation for funk and soul rhythmic grooves which strengthened and enhanced their musical affinity.[21] In an interview he gave to Global Bass magazine, Jones remarked on this common musical interest: Yeah, we were both huge Motown and Stax fans and general soul music fans, James Brown fan. Which is one of the reasons why I've always said that Zeppelin was one of the few bands to "swing". We actually had a groove in those days. People used to come to our shows and dance, which was great. To see all the women dancing, it was really brilliant. You didn't necessarily see that at a Black Sabbath show or whatever: So we were different in that way. We were a groovy band. We used all our black pop music influences as a key to the rock that went over the top.[22] After retiring his Fender Jazz Bass (which he had been using since his days with The Shadows in the early 1960s) from touring in 1975, Jones switched to using custom-designed Alembic basses[23] while touring. However, he still preferred to use the Jazz Bass in the studio and in an interview for Elixir Strings, he mentioned that he still has the bass to this day.[24] Jones' keyboard skills added an eclectic dimension that realised Led Zeppelin as more than just a hard rock band. Keyboard highlights include the delicate "The Rain Song" (Houses of the Holy) played on a Mellotron; the funky "Trampled Under Foot", played on a Clavinet (Physical Graffiti); and the eastern scales of "Kashmir", also played on a Mellotron (also on Physical Graffiti). In live performances, Jones' keyboard showpiece was "No Quarter", often lasting for up to half-an-hour and sometimes including snatches of "Amazing Grace", Joaquín Rodrigo's "Concierto de Aranjuez", which had inspired Miles Davis' Sketches of Spain, and variations of classical pieces by composers such as Rachmaninoff. Jones' diverse contributions to the group extended to the use of other instruments, including an unusual triple-necked acoustic instrument consisting of a six and a twelve string guitar, and a mandolin. Jones often used bass pedals to supplement the band's sound while he was playing keyboards and mandolin. On the band's 1977 tour of the United States, Jones would sing lead vocals on "The Battle of Evermore," filling in for Sandy Denny, who had sung on the studio version. Profile[edit] While all members of Led Zeppelin had a reputation for off-stage excess (a label that has been claimed was exaggerated),[25] Jones was widely seen as the most quiet and reserved member of the group.[26][27] For his part, Jones has claimed that he had just as much fun on the road as his bandmates but was more discreet about it,[10] stating "I did more drugs than I care to remember. I just did it quietly."[16] Benoit Gautier, an employee of Atlantic Records in France, echoed this impression, stating that "The wisest guy in Led Zeppelin was John Paul Jones. Why? He never got caught in an embarrassing situation."[10] In an interview, Jones explained that fame with Led Zeppelin was not something that he ever became preoccupied with: Not really; I'd done it all before ... I would like to think that I wasn't too stupid either. I tried to stay out of the drift of the rock star's path, mainly because I needed my sanity and freedom on the road. So generally, I used to check out of the hotel, and then get out on the street. I'd go walking ... I'm not as recognisable as Plant and Page. Plus, I used to change my appearance all the time just to make sure I wasn't as recognisable ... Generally, I'm pretty quickly into the shadows ... I once read the Beatles did a whole tour of America and never left their hotel rooms. And I thought, "I can't see the point of travelling around the world and not seeing anything."[16] However, following exhausting tours and extended periods of time away from his family, by late 1973 Jones was beginning to show signs of disillusionment. He considered quitting Led Zeppelin to spend more time with his family, and possibly to take up the position of choirmaster of Winchester Cathedral, but was talked into returning by the band's manager, Peter Grant.[28] Jones later explained his reservations: I didn't want to harm the group, but I didn't want my family to fall apart either. We toured a huge amount in those early days. We were all very tired and under pressure and it just came to a head. When I first joined the band, I didn't think it would go on for that long, two or three years perhaps, and then I'd carry on with my career as a musician and doing movie music.[8]

Happy Birthday, Keith Richards. 74 today... Richards has a collection of approximately 3,000 guitars. Even though he has used many different guitar models, in a 1986 Guitar World interview Richards joked that no matter what model he plays, "give me five minutes and I'll make 'em all sound the same." Richards has often thanked Leo Fender, and other guitar manufacturers for making the instruments, as he did during the induction ceremony of the Rolling Stones into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Some of his notable instruments are: Harmony Meteor – This was Richards' main guitar in the Stones' early periods; it was all but retired in 1964 when he acquired his Les Paul Standard. 1959 Gibson Les Paul Standard – Richards acquired this instrument, fitted with a Bigsby tailpiece, in 1964. The guitar was the first "star-owned" Les Paul in Britain and served as one of Richards' main instruments through 1966. He later sold the guitar to future Rolling Stones band mate Mick Taylor. The guitar was most likely stolen during the Nellcôte burglary in July 1971. 1961 Epiphone Casino – Richards first used this instrument in May 1964, shortly before the Stones' first tour of America. The guitar (along with the 1959 Les Paul Standard) became a frequently used guitar by Richards until 1966 1965 Gibson Firebird VII;- In the mid 1960s, Richards, and Brian Jones, were often seen with matching Firebird VIIs in vintage sunburst. 1957 Gibson Les Paul Custom – In 1966 Richards acquired a 1957 Les Paul Custom, and hand-painted it with psychedelic patterns in 1968. It served as his main stage and studio guitar from 1966 through the end of the Rolling Stones' 1971 UK tour. The guitar was most likely stolen during the Nellcôte burglary in July 1971, and ended up in the hands of a collector in the mid-1990s. He acquired a second late 1950s Gibson Les Paul Custom in 1969 to use in open-G tuning on the 1969 and 1970 tour. Gibson ES-355s – Richards used this semi-hollow model on stage during the Rolling Stones' 1969 tour;[ it was a favourite for both Richards and Taylor during recording sessions for Sticky Fingers and Exile on Main St.. Richards has used ES-355s on every tour since 1997. In 2006, he also unveiled a white Gibson ES-345. Gibson Les Paul Juniors – Richards has regularly used both single-cutaway and double-cutaway Juniors since 1973. The one he is most frequently seen with is a TV-yellow double-cutaway instrument nicknamed "Dice", which he has used since 1979. On recent tours he has used this guitar for "Midnight Rambler" and "Out of Control". 1953 Fender Telecaster - The guitar most associated with Richards, he acquired this butterscotch Telecaster in 1971. Nicknamed "Micawber", after a character in Charles Dickens' novel David Copperfield, it is set up for five-string open-G tuning (-GDGBD), and has an aftermarket bridge made of brass, with individual saddles rather than the 3 the original bridge would have had. Richards has removed the saddle for the low string. The neck pick-up has been replaced by Ted Newman Jones with a Gibson PAF humbucking pick-up, and the bridge pick-up has been replaced by a Fender lap steel pick-up (similar to a Fender Broadcaster pick-up). "Micawber" is one of Richards' main stage guitars, and is often used to play "Brown Sugar", "Before They Make Me Run", and "Honky Tonk Women". 1954 Fender Telecaster – A second Telecaster, also set up by Ted Newman Jones, nicknamed both "Malcolm" and "Number 2". It is also modified for 5-string open-G tuning with the same bridge setup as Micawber and has a Gibson PAF pick-up in the neck position. It has a natural finish and the wood grain is visible. 1967 Fender Telecaster – A third Telecaster used for five-string open-G playing is a dark sunburst model, which is also fitted with a Gibson PAF pick-up. The PAF on this guitar has had its cover removed, exposing the bobbins Richards has used this guitar on stage for many songs, including "You Can't Always Get What You Want" and "Tumbling Dice". 1958 Fender Stratocaster – Fellow Rolling Stones guitarist Ronnie Wood gave Richards his 1958 Mary Kaye Signature Stratocaster after the band's 1982 tour. The guitar is finished in see-through blond and fitted with gold hardware. Richards has used this guitar onstage for "You Don't Have to Mean It" and "Miss You". 1975 Fender Telecaster Custom – Richards first used this guitar on the Rolling Stones' 1975 Tour of the Americas, and it was his main stage and recording guitar until 1986. It was later adapted for five-string open-G tuning, and reappeared on stage in 2005. Ampeg Dan Armstrong plexiglas guitar – The Dan Armstrong guitar was given to Richards during rehearsals for the 1969 tour[129] and became one of his main stage and studio guitars until it was stolen during the Nellcote burglary in July 1971. For the 1972 tour, he purchased two new Dan Armstrong guitars, which he only used during the first couple of shows. Fitted with a custom-made "sustained treble" humbucker pick-up, he used the guitar mainly in standard tuning. It can be heard on "Carol", "Sympathy for the Devil", and "Midnight Rambler" on Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out. On the 1970 tour Richards added a second Dan Armstrong guitar fitted with a "rock treble" pick-up. Gibson Hummingbird – played since the late 1960s[130] Gibson L6-S Custom – Played around the time of the Black and Blue album. Appears in the promotional videos for "Crazy Mama", "Fool to Cry" and "Hot Stuff". Zemaitis Five-String – Custom-made in 1974 by British luthier Tony Zemaitis, the guitar nicknamed both "Macabre" and "the Pirate Zemaitis" was decorated with skulls, a pistol and a dagger. Richards used it as his main open-G guitar from 1975 to 1978, when it was destroyed in a fire at his rented Los Angeles home. Richards used a Japanese-made replica on the 2005–06 tour.[citation needed] Newman-Jones custom guitars – Texas luthier Ted Newman-Jones made several custom five-string instruments that Richards used on the 1973 tours of Australasia and Europe. Richards used another Newman-Jones custom model on the 1979 New Barbarians tour.

A quick cover today... "Wonderful Tonight" is a ballad written by Eric Clapton. It was included on Clapton's 1977 album Slowhand. Clapton wrote the song about Pattie Boyd. On 7 September 1976, Clapton wrote "Wonderful Tonight" for Boyd while waiting for her to get ready to attend Paul and Linda McCartney's annual Buddy Holly party. Of "Wonderful Tonight", Boyd would say: "For years it tore at me. To have inspired Eric, and George before him, to write such music was so flattering. 'Wonderful Tonight' was the most poignant reminder of all that was good in our relationship, and when things went wrong it was torture to hear it." CHEERS!:001:

A tribute to John Phillips. Born on this day in 1935, he was an American singer, guitarist, songwriter and promoter, most notably of the 1967 Monterey Pop Festival, a landmark event of the counterculture era and the Summer of Love. Known as Papa John, Phillips was a member and leader of the vocal group The Mamas & the Papas. I dedicate this post to my friend and his widow, Farnaz Phillips...

A request from Lisa Johnston today for They Love Each Other... I imagine that is referring to her and Fando's most prolific drummer and all around great guy, John Corsaro.. So, I tried to put emphasis on the drum and bass parts.. I have not heard this tune for many years.. Here it is from memory.. I hope that i did it justice.. Thanks for the request, LISA!!

Happy Bluesday.. Here is some Blues for you... Don't marry a bad girl a bad girl, tell you the reason why Bad girls will even do things on the sly Look for your dinner to be good and hot She never even put a stew bone in the pot She's on the road again, sure as you're born Natural born easy on the road again Friend come by, say looking for his hat Wants to know where your husband's at I don't know, he's on his way to the pen Come on pretty mama, let's get on the road again Went to my house the front door was locked Went 'round to my window, but my window was locked Jumped right back, shook my head Big old rounder in my folding bed Shot into the window, broke the glass Never seen that little rounder run so fast.. Come on pretty mama, let's get on the road again

An original tune, Someday, Love... One day i met the love of my life After 3 kids, i made her my wife I still remember how hard i cried She packed her things and said goodbye I got over it before, i always do Some times loves gonna hurt you, too Some times loves gonna hurt you too Then, i proposed to a girl her name was suelynne i opened my heart and i let her in I thought she was the best thing in the world then she ran off and married a girl It don't matter what you do Someday, loves gonna hurt you, too Someday, loves gonna hurt you, too La La La... So be forewarned, before you start To let someone into your heart It don't matter what you do. Someday, love gonna hurt you, too! A song from a dream Thanks for listening!! CHEERS!

Spaceman I want to be a spaceman Get out of this place, man Yeah, I want to be a spaceman Leave the human race, man Someday I'm going to leave this place Go off and live in outer space Build myself a lunar base Full of guitars I'd see the earth up in the sky I could jump 4 stories high When i feel like it I'll vacation on Mars The sky is orange and the ground is red Martian robots make up my bed The agri-domes will keep me fed I'll drive a six-wheeled car I'd get loaded in the Martian bars Ain't that much to do on Mars Some day i'll travel far Into the stars
