Singing Dionne Warwick songs in the School yard. Grade nine.
What was the first concert you ever went to?
Varsity Stadium in Toronto. 1974 Crosby Stills Nash and Young and the Band.
What gear do you use?
What are you looking for from Fandalism?
Exciting connecting to musicians from across the water.
Who was your biggest musical influence growing up?
The Beatles, Rolling Stones, Janis Joplin, Joni Mitchell, CSN&Y, Jimi Hendrix, Bach. I started listening to the Beatles in Grade two. I had my own Beatle band. We air guitared badminton rackets.
Are you in a band? Have you been in bands?
Many bands and combinations over the years. I'm about to put together a funky little choir.
If you could jam with anyone, who would it be?
Jimi...for his ability to tap into something bigger...
What's the biggest audience you ever performed to? What's the smallest?
I was a small part of a G-8 concert. I can't remember the number, pretty huge though. Stage shows can be wonderful, especially when the players are travelling together in the same sweet zone, but for me the best experiences have happened at private gatherings.
