Welcome Brothers! Tonight's Release Is "Grab The Rafters", 2006, The CABB. This is the first track off "Live @ The Iron Horse", 2006, The CABB. It was recorded 'Live' at the Iron Horse Rodeo in Lake Selma, OR. and finalized at "Wing and a prayer" studio in Medford, OR. As Craig says "they win Grammys and stuff". Cool ;) Anyway this track features Craig Allen (Lead Vocal), Sebastian 'Brother Mason' Jaross (Bass Guitar), Ron 'Blues Dr' Wetzel (Lead Guitar), Tom Wallenburn (Rhythm Guitar), Tom Simms (Drums). It was a fun and very pro project. I love this stuff. I hope you dig it too :) 'Peace'

Welcome Brothers. Tonight's release is "Paranoia Bees", "Manic Weekend session",2013 (Me on Bass & production, 'William Creswell' Vocal & guitar). First I just want to say.. If ya get a chance check out Brother Wills work here on Fandalism. This is a neat little tune. Its an audio image of 'Paranoia'. We were really feeling it at the time. I think you can hear it. This is the take that nobody but me likes :) It has an obscure whispered second vocal. Its like a constant voice in the back of your head. The more the lead vocal wants you to focus on it the more insistent the little voice becomes. We put a lot of crazy manic thought into how to produce it so it would sound paranoid. Its essentially a cool 80's sounding B side :) but if you feel like thinking hard, that option is available lol. The CD version of this tune is much easier to listen to but it misses the point. Right on! Thanks for listenin' Brothers. Hope ya dig it :) 'Peace'

Welcome Brothers. Tonight's release is "Master Baiter", "Mel",2002 (Me on bass) This is is a very funny song :) It 'Is' Radio legal but you'd never know it. I wrote this as a test for one of my best friends "Cuzn Pat" Young. I knew the batch of material I was writing was going to draw a lot of heat from the conservatives. So I had to know that the singer I chose wasn't going to be afraid to sing the words I write, 'out loud', in "Pubic". So I, logically, Decided to write a song promoting masturbation :) I figured if he could sing "I'm a Master baiter" 10 or 20 times with style then He was ready. Turns out not only was he ready.. He owned it :) A true counter culture hero in my eyes. That's it for the song other then this... This is Not my mix. I think I got buried :( The 'Blind Pirate' is still a genius. We just don't agree on this mix. I'm rerecording it soon :) Alternative Jazz-Rock. "Cuzn Pat" Young on Vocal. Rustle (Baloo) Ruddy on lead, Ana (Fred) Hewitt on drums and Sebastian "Brother Mason" Jaross on Bass. Anyway... Thanks for listening Brothers. Hope ya dig it :) 'Peace'

Welcome Brother's Today's release is "Honey Hush", by Albert Collins, as played by, "The CABB" (Me on Bass), 2009 from "Live @ the Iron Horse", This is another classic Live Blues track from Me & the Criag Allen Blues Band. Its for all you awesome Brothers and sisters out there. I've been in writing mode for 3-5 days not really sure how long lol. So this is a break for me (Much needed). I could feel my mental door closing. That's a bad trip that happens when I'm writing. Usually lasts for months. This is a great diversion. This is just very pretty work. Its me doing my job. "Craig Allen" Vocal. "Ron The Blues Dr. Wetzel" lead. Tom Sims on the drums. Tom Wallenburn on Rhythm. Sebastian Jaross on Bass. This is cool for me to post as far as I know. As always every piece I do comes as an extension of the blues. I just hear it doing a few new tricks. Again this kind of work is what matters most. This kind of music fulfills a promise to the listener. Thanks for listening. Hope you Dig it Brothers :) 'Peace'

Welcome Brothers. Tonight's release is "Dirty Little Puppet", "Still Single(s)",2011 (All Me here) This is a special little tune. Its a fairly old recording now. Its very personal. Still Single is a loose collection of songs written at pivotal moments in my life. I think you can here Whats happening to me in every one of these tracks. This is my Addiction and Recovery song. There is no lead in. Many beats are, not uncomfortably, but very intentionally, early. The whole song screams "Right Now!!!", This tune is a lot like "Ditty Don do dat" I'm expressing the same emotion "Frustration". With Diity I had a regular gig, and couldn't write. With puppet I had problem that wouldn't let me write. When I started this tune I was literally dieing. When I finished I was better. The whole thing is recorded right here. Thanks for listening brothers. Hope ya dig it :) 'Peace'

Welcome Brothers. Tonight's release is "Y Day Do Dat", "Still Funk'in' Crazy"(All me on this CD),2014. Here's something I haven't shown you brothers yet. Its my commercial production work. This represents another term I use often 'Model'. This is a 'model' for a short, modern, driving film score. I'm currently In the midst of another crazy "Brother Mason" Project that no one understands. I think its genius of coarse. I love free Running. Very few people know this but I spent many years studying Aikido. The old school way. Barefoot on rattan mats. So I understand the beauty of sport when filmed properly. I'm also a huge Bruce Lee fan. He would be a 'Free runner' if he was alive today. Its a noble sport. You need no gear. You just decide to go and let nothing stop you. That's exactly how I write music. I'm going to reproduce this to fit the finished product of coarse hence the term model. I'm co-writing this with "Graphium" from the UK. An excellent Soundscape artist. But this version is all my work. No copyright on this one. Don't need one. The end product will be very different. So if anyone digs it, sing over it, sample it, and as always If ya like it capture it. Keep it. distribute it. That's half the reason I work at all. Bla, Bla, bla, Sorry I talk forever :) Bottom line. I want to do for free running what 'Rocky' did for Boxing. I want to make it determined and Romantic. Thanks for listening. Hope ya dig it Brothers :) 'Peace'

Welcome Brothers. Tonight's release Is "Be an Idiot", "The Idiot Savants",2002 (Me on Bass) This was... read more the Idiot's Theme song. I wrote it as I did all the songs posted here with a few rare exceptions. This was the First song at every single show we ever did. This song has at least 500 messages in it. Take your pick. I fully support them all on this one. The main message is "Focus, Dwindle you perspective and let your mind be free" I suck at this one. But life would be so much easier if I was good at it. I love this little tune with all my heart. Hope you dig it too Brothers :) 'Peace'

Welcome Brothers. Tonight's release is "F.U.P.C", "Still Funk'in' Crazy",2014 (Just me on the new CD) This is another Sketch from upcoming my release for 2014. As I've mentioned before my "Sketch" means work in progress. So this is unfinished. The vocal still has some bad choices in it and no formal drum track yet. The most '''Important''' thing I can say about this song is "I DO NOT FEEL THIS WAY",.... 'anymore'. This is a terrible message. Its the only song I've ever written that I simply can no longer stand behind. And that is coming from 'Me'. I wrote this for "The Idiot Savants" in 2000. Yes I do have a formal Studio version of this track. I don't want it to follow 'Cuzn' Pat Young around anymore so I'm rerecording it. At that time I was a very conceited little @#$%. I was also very married and working in the public eye. So needless to say I was often in situations where I was one of the last available males in the room and I had usually just played a killer show so options were not a problem. So my ego being massive at the time made me write this nasty little heart-breaker. Please enjoy the music and forgive the message. Thanks for listening. Hope ya dig it Brothers :) 'Peace'

Welcome Brothers. Tonight's release is "ETheoHyway", "Morpheus",1992 (Me on Bass). This is the first song I wrote for Morpheus. It was entirely written as a 'final' for my first year 2nd term in music theory. I don't remember what I was supposed to be showing with this piece really but I got this tune out of it. This is the most physically demanding piece I've ever written by far. The continuous drive of the bass is mind numbing to play. It was a little kid playing with a new toy "Music Theory". There is a vocal half way through 'Classic Josh Tyree'. The original Title of the song was "E Theory Hell (Opus) and The Highwayman (Body) " Obviously this is not a workable title so we changed it. These two pieces we're written as a set. The lyric is by Josh Tyree. Intro by me Body by Kevin Evensen Drum work by Eliot 'Elwood' Burke. Thanks for listening. Hope you dig it Brothers :) 'Peace'

Welcome Brother's Tonight's release is "Can't See The Streets For My Tears", by Coco Montoya, as played by, "The CABB" (Me on Bass), 2009 from "Live @ the Iron Horse", This is a gift for all you awesome Brothers that let me show you some of my strangest work and still supported me. This is just very, pretty work. Its me doing my job. Framing "Craig Allen" and Supporting the lead, Ron "The Blues Dr." Wetzel and of course working with Tom Sims on the drums. This is cool for me to post as far as I know. Craig has a handshake agreement with Coco from what I understand so he Knows of the recording. This is much tamer then what I would normally post. I always want people to understand that every piece I do comes as an extension of the blues. I just hear it doing a few new tricks. But this kind of work is what matters most. This kind of music fulfills a promise to the listener of entertaining them. That's really the only promise we can make. Hope you really enjoy this one Brothers :) 'Peace'

Welcome Brothers. Tonight's Release is "Cooking", 'Dreamer', 2013 (Just me on this one) This is a very important song for me for many reasons. All the Tracks from my 'Dreamer' Project were written in pairs. 'We're Equal' & Dry are sisters. Ditty don do dat & Bone saw are Brothers. Rich man & cooking are a joke followed by an explanation. "Cooking" is as close to an instructional video as I will likely ever do. This is my 'Cooking' Style Defined musically in under five minutes. This was released as just another tune on dreamer but Its cooler then that :) It's a somewhat dry look at taking a solid, simple theme and cooking it till its well done. Then deconstructing the ideas back to their simple origin. It naturally forms the shape of a pyramid. I try to present it in a way that lets the listener expect what will happen next. Every thing is intended to be conversational. Like one musician Showing his favorite technique to another. In great detail. One last note... This is more like a mix of literature and art for me. It has a strong thesis. Colorful supporting ideas and a defined structure. When the 4th section (Distortion) comes in I see a big stone wheel at the top of the pyramid sharpening sound and shooting out little sparks of Jazz. Lol.. I just had to share that :) ... OK ... Sorry to be so wordy. Thanks for listening Hope ya dig it Brothers :) 'Peace'

Welcome Brothers. Tonight's release is "Rich Man", "Dreamer",2013 (Just me on this one) This is a very strange song. This is me thinking about 'Zappa'. If he was thinking about 'Country Music'. Its very much written in the spirit of fun. All the genre defining elements are intended to be overstated as is the vocal in part. Its a tongue in cheek art piece. This is also a collection of my favorite vocal preamps and effect chains. Each Vocal phrase is mixed very differently. They were intended to make happy words happy and angry words angry in a musical way. So now that I've gotten to serious about this fun little song already. You don't have too :) Just feel free to have fun with it. Thanks For Listening. Hope ya Dig' it Brothers :) 'Peace'

Welcome Brothers. Tonight's release is "Chem Con", "The Idiot Savants",2002 (Me on Bass). This tune was a lot of work to get posted today but I wanted my all my new Brothers to hear it. I just received the new Graphics for the old tracks today. They are awesome. However.. I'm a bass player. I don't know how to use them yet. Over my head. Anyway.. I wrote this tune as Reggae. I know this "Is not" Reggae. It is however the way I heard Reggae in 2002. This song was inspired by new events in my life at the time. The Idiot's were a vary political band. We didn't often break the law but we always worked very hard to change it. We supported everything including the Legalization of Marijuana for medical and recreational use. This was a very public song Intended to support that movement. Hope you dig it Brothers :) 'Peace'

Welcome Brothers Tonight's release is "Trust Me", from "Still Funk'in' Crazy",2014 This is another example of my cooking style with a little harder edge. I released this track in its infant form on dreamer but this version says so much more then that one did. It deserves another run. This is still not finished. Its what I call a sketch. Given time and effort this one will shine in 2014. Oddly my inspiration for this peace was Ludwig van Beethoven. Not his music. His frustration. Hope you dig it Brothers :) "Peace"

Welcome Brothers. Tonight's Release is "Dry" from "Dreamer",2013 (Just me on this CD). This song Is exactly what one might assume. Its a Dry look at a technique I call "Cooking" I know that a well used term and has been applied to many styles and tracks in the past but it is appropriate to what this piece is. Its an amalgamation of mental artifacts mixed together into a tasty groove. "Cooking". I posted this tonight, In place of some more strong metal work, Because Brother Eden, Hilde, Budd, Matt and many others said they liked it when I posted material that was all me. I can't write anymore like 'Me' then this. This is me alone. In the park. Recording on a laptop. Granted it was a good laptop but there are no production values for me to lean on in this one. No Net. I kinda fear people not liking this. Its me in musical form. Hope ya dig it :) 'Peace'

Tonight's release is "One Step Ahead",2008 (Me on Bass) from ''Live @ The Iron Horse from "The Craig Allen Blues Band" My part in this recording consisted of bass lines and performance of same. Tonight's release is "C-span Superman" from 'Mel',2002 (Me on the bass) an example of what the "The Idiot Savants" did best. Funk\Punk\Political. I am going nuts with this one lol... I know I'm releasing some fairly anti-social material right now.. You don't seem to mind too much. That's rare and very appreciated. You guys seem to like it when I alienate people so here ya go :) This one was always real crowd pleaser in Eugene OR. It was written in support of Al Gore (his ideas always made sense) and very much against Gorge W. Bush. The last four lines still scare me when I show them in public. No disrespect intended to my republican brothers just a minor difference of opinion :) 'Peace'

Tonight's release "Ditty don do dat". Its risky. Its another one I have to explain. Because I don't want to hurt my friends and its the worst possible choice for a release right now. I know I should release Some more pretty Live Blues tracks of which I have many and I will display them proudly soon. But I trust you guys. I feel like I'm really making genuine friends here, Musician friends, the best kind. I love the 'Blues' with out it I would be nothing and I have worked very hard to treat it with the respect It deserves. When I wrote this I had spent several years working the blues circuit on the west coast with excellent people.. But.. I didn't have time to write music. I'm a Bass player first and foremost Its a point of personal pride.. But.. I am trained to write. I have too or I get sick inside. When I can't write my thought turn on me. So tonight's release is because I want to show my friends something I'm really proud of. I really hope you like it and remember. I am a blues man. Thank you Brothers :) 'Peace'

First.. I don't want anyone to get the wrong Idea about Brother Mason. I'm a Taoist. I love my christian brothers and Muslim brother equally and I make no distinction between them. I wrote this as I watched the towers fall. I wasn't mad at Afghanistan or Pakistan or any other nation. They had little if anything to do with it. This was the country boy in Brother Mason wanting to grab a gun and remove the one man responsible. I am a peaceful man to the extreme but I will not hesitate to defend my brothers and I was moved to anger. So please forgive this musical outburst and try to enjoy its musical quality's. Thanks Brothers :) 'Peace'
