Been playing on and off since I was 12. Self taught. Never really thought about what got me started. Just a way to express how I feel through sound.
What was the first concert you ever went to?
Styx Grand Illusion Tour. Have no idea what year that was. Been a while
What gear do you use?
Oddball collection of Schecter and Peavey guitars. I tend to write most of the pieces on one of my classicals and then translate it to the electrics.
What are you looking for from Fandalism?
A way to showcase some of the work I am doing for some independent production companies. NOTE TO EVERYONE. The private message function never seems to work for me. I never get the messages and I can't PM back. I can easily be found on facebook and will respond to you if you message me through there or directly through my email... larseran @hotmail.com
Who was your biggest musical influence growing up?
BTO in all honesty. Just really liked the way the songs were put together. Rich and bassy with a lot of feel.
Are you in a band? Have you been in bands?
Just one of the remnants from an incredible band named Midrealm. We were all songwriters for other local bands that teamed up and spent a year on a marathon writing session. We still work on projects together even though we are spread out across the US. The miracle of modern technology. I/we still have the same philosophy.....create something that tells a story and creates a feeling. It's all about the art...period
If you could jam with anyone, who would it be?
Jimmy Page. He didn't just play a guitar. He talked to the instrument and the instrument talked to him. What came out was total expression.
