Teenage Thoughts
by Tyler Selph copyright 2014
I'll tell ya bout my mom and dad
The two of them they get real mad
It seems no matter how I try
No way to see them eye to eye
They call me just a teenage punk
But they're the one's who are the flunks
As parents they've completely failed
And I'm the one who's getting railed
They've treated me with no respect
Since I quit school but what the heck
Don't really care to graduate
When I already have a life that's great
My mom and dad they'll care for me
And me... well I'll live here for free
What more could anybody need
Sounds pretty sweet don't you agree?
My mom and dad they criticize
It's time they opened up their eyes
I see beyond all of their lies
And yell fuck you while mama cries
They say it's time that I move out
But that's not happening no doubt
I'm staying here till forced to leave
And that's just how it is you see
They're angry I dropped out of school
They say I'm dumb but they're the fools
I'm 18 and I make the rules
And no one's calling me a fool
I'll have my way and I'll live rent free
No no-one's getting rid of me
Don't give a damn that's plain to see
My parents will take care of me
I'm sick and tired of being told
By people who are growing old
What I should do how I should act
It's time they all cut me some slack
I take it easy cause I can
It should be clear to understand.
Why should I have to work so hard
I make my daddy mow the yard
I live right now on easy street
Roof over-head free food to eat
Take out the garbage? Don't think so Don't even ask my ass to mow
I do what I want and I have no fear
I steal my mama's last cold beer
Call me a failure go ahead
But while you're at it make my bed!
You guys are wrong I've never failed And if I do wind up in jail
I got good news good news to tell
You'll be the ones to pay my bail
Call me a failure if you like
I'll tell you both to take a hike
I'm living wild and living free
Now go away don't bother me...

How long have you been playing?
37 years Most of my tunes are on iTunes, Amazon, Google-Play, Spotify and others...
What was the first concert you ever went to?
Molly Hatchet and 38 Special in Lakeland Florida 1978.
What gear do you use?
I have over 40 guitars of all makes and models, I have tons of pa and recording
equipment and nearly every instrument you can think of.
equipment and nearly every instrument you can think of.
What are you looking for from Fandalism?
Great music and good musicians to collaborate with.
Who was your biggest musical influence growing up?
Elton John/Bernie Taupin. Melody and lyrics like no other. My cousin John introduced me to his music with the release of Goodbye Yellow Brick Road. What an incredible musical journey that album is.
Are you in a band? Have you been in bands?
I played in my first band out of Dallas, Texas called Frankie Cashmere and the Sweaters and we also had another name Flyer. Then I moved to Orlando and started a band called No Doubt. Of course we had to drop that name and then called ourselves I-51 which was the warehouse number we practiced in. In early 2000 I played occasionally with a group in Nashville called the Trailer-park Troubadours. Now i just write songs for others to perform and I sell them on YouTube.
If you could jam with anyone, who would it be?
I already have jammed with one of my favorites. Pat Traverse...
I'd also love to jam with Steve Miller or Roger Waters.
I'd also love to jam with Steve Miller or Roger Waters.
What's the biggest audience you ever performed to? What's the smallest?
I played in Orlando at the grand opening of Mars music. That was where I played with Pat Traverse.
You're stuck on a desert island and only get to bring one album with you. What do you pick?
Steve Miller Band Greatest Hits. First heard it when I moved back to the States and my new friend Kevin introduced me to them. Just overall excellent music with well written understandable lyrics and great melodies.

Lyrics "Fathers of the Night" Now some would say a sunny day is what they like the most Lay out on the beach with baby oil make their bodies toast Baking there like tasty pastries frying in the mid-day sun But I prefer to keep things cool to me that’s way more fun Than frying in the sun… Getting up round 12 noon I stay in from the heat But ten pm’s a coming soon that’s when I’ll hit the street Rolling with my homies as we cruise Park Avenue Nothing in the world my friends and I would rather do And you know it’s true… that’s what we love to do… We’re fathers of the night… On the dance floor we know how to hold you tight We know how to treat a woman right… making love by candle-light We’re fathers of the night… know how to treat a woman right… Making love by candle-light… Look there the sun is setting now hangs so low in the sky Soon the shadows growing long the moon will slowly start to rise And stars will fill the sky and all my friends and I go out and play We’re fathers of the night that’s right that’s all there is to say… Father’s of the night…

"Monday Morning Mood"
Melody and guitar by Mark Taylor
Lyrics and vocals by Tyler Selph
This song was first posted to Fandalism by Mark Taylor a few days back. His original clip can be seen on YouTube here.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9quOBDXwjr8
Once I heard his posting, I asked him if it would be okay if I added some lyrics and a vocal track and he said go for it so I did. He posted it on Monday but I decided to hold off until Blues Thursday to post as it seems appropriate. Here is the outcome and we both hope you will enjoy it.
The video clip is from Vimeo and was posted by Guapo Magazine and is titled "In Bed With Bananas Models". It can be seen here.
https://vimeo.com/9577176
Lyrics below...
"Monday Morning Mood"
Monday morning in bed
Thoughts are running all through my head
Indecision in a trance
Dare I take another chance?
One more try to find romance
The victim of my own circumstance
I feel like I’m too tired to dance again…
Drifting back into a dream
Life is not what it may seem
The safest place for me to keep
Appears to be right here deep in my sleep
All my covers my cocoon
And I’ll feel better soon
But for now I’m in a Monday morning mood
And I’ve got quite an attitude
So now I’m falling back to sleep
To dream sweet dreams and I’ll not weep
I’ll wake up feeling better soon but for now I’m in
A Monday morning mood

Party Next Door by DJ Valentine & Tyler Selph all rights reserved.
Here's another one where I've used one of DJ Valentines recorded back tracks.
He already had this instrumental titled "Party Next Door" so I went with that idea and wrote around it.
No copyright claim on my part on this one.
Check out DJ's original track here.

Lyrics below...
Party Next Door
Sex maniacs they live next door
They're always up till 3 or 4
Making sounds I can't ignore…
And I try not to listen in
But these damn walls are paper thin
And I hear everything my friend
There’s a party next door… yeah a party next door
There’s a party next door…. one you simply can’t ignore…
What they're doing can't be mistaken
Especially when all the walls are shakin
I’m pretty sure that girl's not faking it…
They always start off really slow
Then the moaning starts to grow
These two really do put on a show
With that party next door…
And lucky me I get to hear it all..!
Those two they sure do have a ball…
And I hear it all…coming through the walls… awwhhh
And even though I’m not invited
I must admit I get excited
How could I not with all that noise
It’s almost like I’ve got no choice
With this party next door
I lie here awake in bed
I wish that I could sleep instead
But there’s a party here inside my head
Awww... this party next door
It's nothing short of misery see
Cause my girlfriend just broke up with me
I think they’re getting awful loud for four am
This party next door... one I can’t ignore...this party next door...
I tell ya what those two are doing
Pretty sure that they're both screwing
With my head and that ain't right
To have to hear this every night
I don't think I can take much more
Of all that partying next door
Party next door…

Albatross
They spread their wings out wide as they slowly glide
Above the sea below they fly so very slow as they go…
Where-ever the wind may blow
And no they never tire they’re soaring ever higher
And just like you and I they’re flying side by side
As the Albatross soar across the sky
They are the perfect pair much like you and me
They fell in love for life residing by the sea
In peace and tranquility
So spread your wings out wide and we will slowly glide
Above the sea below we’ll fly so very slow…
Where-ever the wind may blow… that’s where we’ll go
Where-ever the wind may blow

After posting this song yesterday and giving it a few listens I was not happy with the vocal track being as soft as it was so I've raised the level a bit and pulled the organ down some. For all of you who've already commented on the first posting I say thanks so very much but hopefully you'll like this version more.
Have a super day..!

"When We’re On Our Own"
Seems we’ve run outta love the same way we ran in
And it’s become clear to see we’re no longer best friends
And we can go on pretending but we both really know
This relationship’s ending and it’s time we both go… on our own
I mean why should we stay treat each other this way
Can’t you hear what I say… time to go our own way
And when we’d get home each night They’ll be no one to fight
And there'd be no one to yell… why don’t you go to hell…
When we’re own our own…
It’s time to come to our senses stop playing these games
All the shouting is senseless calling each other names
If we keep hurting each other in the end it appears
We’ll no longer have each other... and live out our years… on our own
After all that we’ve shared you and I Part of me it still pleads give us one more try
So I’m praying we both find some way to forgive
If we don’t then it’s certain that we’re both gonna live…
On our own… girl I’m sure you’d agree
This is not the way we ever dreamed things would be
And when we’d get home each night, things just wouldn't be right
If we weren't there together...
God I hope that we're never...
On our own…
Girl when we'd get home each night Things just wouldn't be right
No we'd be all alone never wanna go home
And I can already tell... life would truly be hell... on our own... and all alone...

Here's one about a wife that never seems to stop nagging at her husband. Not my wife of course... :-)
I posted this earlier today as just a poem but my heart just wouldn't let me leave it that way.
The original back-track is by Valentinebeats.com and can be listened to on YouTube here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IxXMVYshCyg
Lyrics below
"The Nagging Song"
Well not long ago I thought that I had married Mrs. right
Used to hardly wait until I got home to her each night
But now it seems that every night I get home from the shop
She’s starts in with her nagging and my friends it doesn’t stop
She nags at me and asks me why I’m getting home so late
Tells me dinner’s getting cold because she had to wait
Nags at me because I stopped off at the grocery store
She nags and nags and then she nags some more
And I just came through the door
Tonight when we had plans to meet our friends out on the town
She nagged at me so much that soon my head was hanging down
And all because she didn’t like the clothes I chose to wear
Said all my friends would laugh at me… when we got there
But I don’t care… let em all just stare… when we get there
Well I climb into the driver’s seat and we’re off to meet our friends
Have hardly left the driveway when the nagging soon begins
She feels compelled to ask me why I have to drive so slow
But when we reach the highway then she nags at me let’s go..!
Uhhhh… never satisfied… I’m not done
She tells don’t drive behind the guy so close ahead
Tells me slow it down before the two of us are dead
She nags me all the way there and in fact won’t be ignored
I contemplate my fate if I just pushed her out the door
She asks me what I’m thinking I tell her nothing dear
But if she knew she’d kick my butt she has no fear
I sit and wonder what I’d do if she just wasn’t here
I’m sure I’d not be missing all this nagging that I hear
Nag nag nag…
She’s nagging just keeps nagging yeah she’s nagging all the time
Enough to make a person lose their hearing and their mind
She’s been nagging at me folks morning noon and night
I’ve had my fill of nagging I can’t take another bite… it just ain’t right
This nagging every night… I’ve lost my appetite
But in the end I guess it’s true that if I were to leave
I’d never hear her nagging and I’d probably feel relieved
But could it be I’d miss her constant nagging all the time
It’s such a nagging question… weighing on my mind
Nag… nag… nag… nag… nag… nag… nag… nag… nag…
Nag… nag… nag… NAG..!

Hello everyone...
This is a word of warning to folks who invest in today's stock market.
Play it Safe My Friends
Did you happen to take notice of the fifth of February? If you didn’t time to listen it was quite extraordinary When the closing bell was rung it was an ugly sight to see The biggest market tumble in the course of history The papers read no need to fret it’s just a small correction They said just a day or two and it’ll head the right direction But Thursday hell the market fell no bottom ever found Selling stubs were piling up to three feet off the ground! So here’s my word of warning see I’ve been here before When you wake up Monday morning better watch your butt for sure If the markets starts to tumble then you best not mess around Call your broker fast before he’s headed outta town Now your broker’s gonna tell ya not to sell that would be nuts But what the hell he’s not to fail not gonna lose his butt The time has come for putting some of what you’ve gained away Put it somewhere safe for when there comes a rainy day I’m suggesting sell cause what the hell you might could lose it all But in the end it will depend on you to make the call You get out now and holy cow you still can get back in Just wait until the waters safe before you start to swim So there’s my final word of warning folks I’ll say no more When you wake up Monday morning hope you’re looking out for sure So now good day I’m on my way it’s time the song should end The only thing that’s left to say is play it safe my friends

They Came In Peace, by Tyler Selph, copyright 2018 all rights reserved
It was a day like any other when my cell phone woke me up
I took my morning piss and then I poured myself a cup
Of coffee which I drink each morning as I surf the net
But this became a day I’d say... I never will forget
My cell phone read no internet connection had been found
And then things got weird the sun appeared as if it were going down
I wondered why it got dark outside so I went out there to see
And when I looked up I saw a giant object there right over me
This flying saucer hovering two miles above the ground
It looked to me to be about ten football fields around
For several minutes it hovered there and had all of us in fear
Then suddenly it played a note that all of us could hear
But the tone that it emitted it was soft and warm and low
And then a beam of light came down and it began to glow
Then that note abruptly ended then another note was played
Then another beam of light and it was soft and warm like clay on a sunny day
Like the movie we’ve all seen called close encounters of third kind
All who were near could hear and thought they’d nearly lost their minds
Then laser lights the kinds of like we’d never seen my before
Came streaking down and then we found there were creatures in the door
And to the lights and music they all broke into a song
Sang in our own language oh yeah they did they surely sang along
We come in peace to try to save the human race
We’ll intervene we’ll come between fix up this place
We’re here to totally remove all your hatred and corruption
We will save this place and the human race from eventual destruction
We come in peace…
They sang we see the future and for you it’s very grim
Time to put away your differences and time to all be friends
We come in peace is what they sang yeah that’s what we heard them sing
But the song was stopped when they all got shot by our mighty war machine
Well the papers read they were all shot dead cause the aliens attacked
But everyone who heard observed and know exactly all the facts
They came in peace so war would cease and save our human race
To intervene know what I mean and to change this crazy place
They came in peace…

This is a song I posted just over 4 years ago here on Fandalism but never had created a video to go along with it so here's my song with a video to spice it up a little. Hope you enjoy it.

You and me make the perfect pair So many things that we love to share We're always trying something new That's what I like about loving you And tonight when we get home you know it's a fact That when we're all alone... we're both gonna act just like Two kids in a candy store Who can't get enough Always wanting more So many flavors to explore We're like... two kids in a candy store..! I'm your M&M that's what I am And you've got me melting in your hand I'm your snickers bar... your Baby Ruth The candy jar... for your sweet tooth So come on times a wasting... it's time to get to tasting... time to satisfy the crave and behave just like Two kids in a candy store who can't get enough... Always wanting more So many flavors to explore... We're like... two kids in a candy store There's nothing like you and me together We're sorta like a fantasy... the flavor lasts forever.... Two kids in a candy store who cant get enough... always wanting more So many flavors to explore we're like two kids in a candy store Ooohooo we're two kids in a candy store Ooohooo we're two kids in a candy store Ooohooo we're two kids in a candy store All video clips from Vimeo 1st clip by Buck titled- "Tinder-Invention of Together" 2nd clip by Cactus VP titled- "Joyful couple having fun and dancing together" 3rd clip by House Special titled "M&M's Candyman :60" 4th clip by Fixed Digital titled- "Demo for Snickers" 5th clip by Alexandre Dubosc titled- "Melting Pop" 6th clip by MUNICHfoodstyling titled- "The Candy Man" All still images from Google images, "Labeled for reuse" Copyright by Tyler Selph 2017 All rights reserved

Hey everybody..! Well, I know it's not music but here's something that once happened to me I think you may find interesting. It was filmed back in 1999 at Universal Studios in Orlando Florida where I was living at the time. You'll see my sister Laura with dark hair come join me at the end and the blonde was a girl named Sandra who I met at the audition for the show. Watch her scare the heck out of Pat at the end..! At one point you'll hear me answer Pat's question about alligators and say something like "believe it or not as a musician I used to hang my hand out over the water and try to entice gators to jump up and try to snap it out of my hands". The truth is, I had been working at a tourist attraction called Gatorland Zoo I was performing as the lead showman for what was called the Gator-jump-a-roo show believe it or not. This was what I was doing just before I started selling cars. Anyway, I wanted to make that clear and laugh now when I here how I responded to Pat's question and how he responded after that... LOL It was a fun time never to be forgotten for sure..! This was originally recorded on VHS which I've had for over 15 years now and just converted to a digital copy and this will explain the fuzziness of the picture. Sorry about that. Of course I take no copyright claim on this what-so-ever.

http://www.fandalism.com/jcbinetti
Lastly... JC created the video as well and I'm hoping you'll enjoy the whole package everybody..! Cheers and now it's time to let the music take control..! :-) Lyrics below
Let the music take control
"You gotta let the music take control"
So you say you’re feeling lonely and you don’t know what to do
I’m telling you you’re not the one who’s feeling blue
But I think I know the answer pretty sure I know what’s wrong
We need to be out on the dance floor yeah that’s where we both belong
Cause when you’re bumping and a grinding and you’re moving to the sound
You forget about your problems when you’re truly getting down
And when you’re shaking and a grooving with your hands up in the air
Forget about your worries and you haven’t any cares…
You gotta let the music take control… its gotta reach down to your very soul… ahhh
Just let the music take control
Yeah… we need to hear that kickin bass gotta turn it up real loud
We need to get out on the dance floor some way somehow
We need to get out on the town need to find our favorite club
Cause when we get out on the dance floor we just can’t get enough
When you’re shaking to the music don’t it make you wanna move
There’s no way you can deny that it’ll put you in the mood
It’ll get your foot to tapping won’t be long for you realize
You won’t know what’s happening you’ll be reaching for the sky… ah you can’t deny
Come on let’s give it a try… You just can’t deny… come on let’s give it a try
So when the club is really kicking I’m sure you’d agree
That out there on the dance-floor is the only place to be
Some sit and others stand there and watch as others dance
But if the beats a kickin I sure won’t me miss my chance
If you let the music take you it’ll carry you away
To a place you can escape from the day to day
It will overcome your problems for a while they’ll disappear
If you simply let the music take you away from here
Yeah baby… yeah babe… come on shake that thing…
Mmmm come on and let the music take control, come on and shake that thing..!
So take my hand and let’s get out on the town
I’m sure you’ll understand it’s time for getting down
What’s the use in sitting home with nothing much to do
Time to hit the dance-floor baby that’s what we need to do
There’s nothing like the feeling when you’re out on the floor
It’s a very special feeling that you simply can’t ignore
When you’re shucking with your partner or jiving by yourself
There’s nothing quite like music to help us lose ourselves
Gotta let the music take control..!

"Santa Claus Ain't Comin To Town"
A parody by Tyler Selph. No copyright claim on this one. Originally written by British songwriter Tommie Conner and originally recorded by Jimmy Boyd. This particular track comes a YouTube posting by Music Teacher's Digest titled "Santa Claus Is Coming To Town Instrumental + lyrics - traditional" and can be found here.

Hope you enjoy it my friends...
Lyrics below.
"Santa Clause Ain’t Comin To Town"
Well he’s made out his list and checked it now twice
He’s figured out you and me haven’t been nice
And Santa Claus ain’t coming to town
He’s seen how we act when the kids leave the house
The switch in your hand and he’s heard me go ouch!
And Santa Clause ain’t comin to town
Through our window he’s been peeking
And we’ve really freaked him out
He’s watched till I’ve been weeping From the pain you’re dishing out!
He’s heard me go ouch you’re making me cry
He knows you won’t stop till I’m satisfied
No Santa Clause ain’t comin to town
Ol Santa’s been shocked as we watched me and you
He’s seen all the pain you’ve been putting me through
And Santa Claus ain’t comin… to town
He’s seen those fish-net stockings And leather strap there in your hand
He thinks you’re really hurting me but he just don’t understand?
With a flick of your wrist ouch
That really stings
Santa don’t know what a thrill that it brings
No Santa Claus ain’t coming to town
No Santa Claus ain’t comin to town
I said Santa Claus ain’t comin to town..! He ain't comin round... :-)

Hello everybody and to start with I want to say thank you to all of you who have already heard this song I collaborated on with JC Binetti. When I first heard this in an instrumental form I just felt inspired and asked JC if he would allow me to add lyrics and vocals and I was very happy when he said go for it... so I did.
I am posting it at this time just to allow for others who may have missed it to have a chance to hear it before. You can hear more of JC's tunes hear.

Lyrics below...
Your letter read that you would leave today, where it is you’re going wouldn’t say
Told me you still love me but must move along… but I must tell ya before your gone That I do love you… and I always have… And I should not need to tell you that...
I do love you… so why move along…and like I’m saying in this song… I do love you… I keep you picture by my bed your memories here in my head
I try to cast them all away… but seems as though they wish to stay
And though I know you’re gone for good…
I want this to be understood I’ll not be broken have no fear…
I’ll be glad when you’re not here
Cause I don’t love you …and I never did… And if I told you that… please just forget it… Your letter read that you would leave today where it is you’re going wouldn’t say
Told me you still love me but must move along but I must tell you now before you’re gone…
I hope I’ve made it very clear… I wish you would get outta here
I wish to tell you just to leave…
I wish I could make you believe… that I don’t love you…
So as you turn… just walk away… no kiss goodbye don’t even wave Just walk away and leave me here where I’ll be standing in my tears But I don’t love you… I don’t love you… I don’t love you...

To start with I want to wish you all a very Happy Thanksgiving..!
This song was written by Harald-Georg-Barth. I heard it and wrote to him asking if I could add some lyrics and vocals and he said go for it so I did. Here's how it came out. Copyright 2017 all rights reserved.
Lyrics below...
What If Everybody Had A Gun
Guitar…
What if everyone had a gun would that change anything?
Would we find the world more dangerous for all us human beings?
What if everybody walked around with a pistol in their boot?
You treat somebody bad enough and they may just pull it out and shoot
I’m asking how would life become… if everyone had a gun..?
Bank robberies I’m guessing none if the customers inside
Were all carrying a loaded gun that was strapped there on their side
If everybody had a gun tell me what would they have to fear
A peace we never knew before might suddenly appear
I know you may think this sounds dumb but what if everyone had a gun?
If everybody had a gun then everybody’s equal
It would make the perfect movie deserved of a sequel
If the gangstas in the neighborhood knew guns were everywhere
Would they think before they drew a gun or would they ever even dare
There would be no place that’s safe to run… if everybody had a gun
If we were carrying a piece would that bring us peace of mind
Would that make this space a better place where people’d more kind
If everybody had a gun, would the hatred finally end
If everybody had a gun would we all turn into friends?
I betcha things would really change… if we could all go bang bang bang…
Now some would say I’ve crazy some would say I’ve lost my mind
But if everyone all had a gun who knows what we might find
We might find we’d think things over before we all got really pissed
Cause anyone who had a gun could just shoot us if they wished
We might all be a little more forgiving less taking and more giving
Is there a chance that we may find everybody’d be more kind
If everybody had a gun
It’s sad I have to devise a plan or suggest this as a cure
But a gun in everybody’s hand would change our lives for sure
Would everyone a friend become… if everybody had a gun
Would the killings somehow all be done… if everybody had a gun…
Would we all treat everyone nice? If everybody had a gun
In case you didn’t know this, in the following list are places where it is against the law NOT to have a gun
Kennesaw Georgia, Nelson Georgia, Nucla Colorado, Gun Barrel City Texas, Virgin Utah

For those of you who know me I have never done a cover tune on Fandalism. Here's a parody on Devo's hit song "Whip It", about my dog Cash and his infatuation with attacking his favorite play toy. No copyright claim to this what-so-ever. Source is YouTube video titled "Devo Whip it (Instrumental)" posted by Terry Jackson. Lyrics below...
Crack that whip… Cash is such a trip Watch him attack… he’ll break the piggy’s back
Well Cash loves his little pig… yes he digs it It’s his polka-dotted pig but he don’t kiss it He grabs it by its head and he whips it… He whips it… watch it shake… shake it up… get straight Throws it forward by its head he thinks it great to make it shake And whip it whip it good If his piggy can’t be found…so he can whip it He’ll be looking all around, so he can whip it… The pig cannot escape… he’s gonna whip it He loves to whip it… whip it good Watch him whip it… whip it good… Crack that whip… Cash is such a trip Watch him attack… break his piggy’s back Yeah he loves his little pig… yes he digs it It’s his little pig he digs… but he don’t kiss it Folks don’t get me wrong… he’d rather whip it He whips it… watch it shake… he shakes it up… get straight He throws it forward by its head he thinks it great to make it shake He whips it…watch it shake… he shakes it up… Get straight… he throws it forward… by its head Try to detect it as it shakes… He’ll whip it whip it good..!

I trusted You - from JC BINETTI and TYLER SELPH
Here is a song Binetti wrote and posted on Fando as an instrumental 3 months ago. You can hear his original posting here.
http://fandalism.com/jcbinetti/emDl
When I heard it I contacted JC and asked if I could add some lyrics and vocal. Happily he agreed to let me have a shot at it and I took one. After sending him the vocals I had added I was very surprised to see his video and even though we did this over two months ago I told him we had to save it for the Halloween season. So here it is and just a note of warning... It's a little scary..!
I TRUSTED YOU
I Trusted You
I trusted you and I don’t know why I ever did
I trusted you… and all you did was make me cry
I thought you’d never lie… but I… I was wrong… so wrong
Now looking back… I should have seen
But I was young and I was… green… know what I mean?
You let someone… come in between you and I…
And I don’t know why? But now all I do is cry…
I’m crying tears… after all these years
I trusted you… I trusted you
I never guessed and never knew
Oh yes it’s true… I didn’t have a clue
That you were lying in another bed
I couldn’t get that through my head
Don’t try to tell me that you still care
Cause when I need you… you won’t be there
You’re leaving me for that other guy
And you know me… you don’t really care how much I cry…
I trusted you… and never should have
I trusted you and you never could have… truly loved me
You wouldn’t leave me… and when you left me
You said you did you wouldn’t leave me…
But I was dumb enough… to trust in you…
I trusted you…
I trusted

A few of you heard this earlier in an acoustic version. Here's "Tommy's Gone" in a fully produced studio version with a video to go along with it. Please pardon some of the blurry images but I use only photos on Google that people have no copyright to and there are not many to chose from that way. If you listen closely you'll hear many of Tommy's song titles throughout. How many will you know? Composed and written by Tyler Selph All Vocals... Tyler Selph All instruments... Jamie Laritz of Dogearstudios Recorded at Dogearstudios in Florida by Jamie Laritz
I hope you'll enjoy this and please search for it on Spotify, Google play, Apple ITunes and Amazon among others. I hope to have it available by 10-30-2017. Now the lyrics "Tommy's Gone"
First they said he was dead then said they were wrong But the Waiting Is Over we all now know he’s gone So I’m singing this song and saying goodbye To a person Freefalling now Learning To Fly away today… She Was An American Girl yeah he told us all so His Guitar Gently Wept while he put on a show Mary Jane a romance of which he wrote a song And they shared one last dance before she moved on… Ah yeah… before she was gone... And he said I Won’t Back Down to those damn record labels And he charted his own course because he was able And he didn’t Breakdown was a tough Refugee You Got Lucky... if you knew him indeed… so lucky were we… It was true what he said back in seventy nine Even The Losers get lucky sometimes But I guess like Tom said now it’s Time To Move On You Don’t Know How It Feels... seems unreal that he’s gone away... today But Tommy’s Gone… yeah he’s moving on I envision him now... Running Down A Dream And I’m grateful God for giving us this cool human being But I Should Have Known he’d be leaving this place And I pray that the Lord will show his Saving Grace... And as I move forward I’ll hear his songs play And they’ll always bring memories of sweet younger days On the radio waves now his spirit lives on And we’ll never forget the way Tommy played a song But Tommy’s gone… Long gone… RIP Tommy

"I'll Follow You"
Nothing particular about the melody here folks but it's the message I hope you'll get here more than anything.
It's a song which I hope will inspire all original artists to start following other original artists on Spotify. I don't know about you but I sure could use a little more money these days... As the song says... it's a crazy idea but I'm willing to take people names if they send them to me below and start following them on Spotify today if they will be kind enough to reciprocate. Why not..? Copyright 2017 by Tyler Selph, all rights reserved. Peace everybody..! :-) Please share with your friends my friends.. :-) Now the lyrics...
I’ll follow you if you follow me This morning I woke up and jumped out of bed This crazy idea had just popped in my head I thought of a way we could play and get paid And I’m gonna to share my idea here today I don’t know if you’ve done it but here’s what I did I posted my songs right here on DistroKid And the more people listen the more I get paid And the more people hear the cool songs I’ve played Well I think it makes sense here for me to ask you What’s the most logical thing we could do? And it may never work but heck why not let’s try To follow each other right now on Spotify So I’m asking you to just send me your name I’ll follow you friend and hope you’ll do the same It’s one crazy scheme and I know it sound funny But couldn’t we all use a little more money? So today I’ll be finding you and I’ll be following you And I’m hoping that you will come follow me too It’s a crazy idea but who knows it may fly And we’ll all never know till we give it a try So I’ll follow you and hope you’ll follow me We can follow each other and do it for free But who knows how much money we could make If we all started following each other today… :-)

Down By The River Side by Tyler Selph & Jean Chris Binetti. About a month ago Jean-Chris asked if I would be interested in singing one of his songs. He sent me the music and lyrics and I really liked it.
I asked JC if he would be okay if I changed some of the lyrics and thankfully he said yes. I loved his hook so I left that in which is the title of the song and I kept that theme but just built a story around the Riverside theme. I know JC posted this one already but I wanted to wait a week or so to try to give others a chance to hear it if they happened to have missed it before. Thanks for all your comments on JC's posting and I hope you will enjoy this one if you have not heard it yet. Now the lyrics...
Down by the riverside
Down by the riverside… cold beer in my hand
The perfect place to run and hide…yeah I’m a broken man
I think back to that rainy day when I first met you here
You chased all the clouds away… and made the sun appear
Down by the riverside that day… you chased those clouds away
Down by the riverside with you… it was like a dream come true
When I fell in love with you… that day… you stole my heart away
Down… by the riverside
Down by the riverside… my beer is now half through
I take a sip and wonder why… why I ever fell in love with you
You told me from the very start your heart could not be won
But I was falling so in love and having so much fun
Down by the riverside you came… and you made my whole life change
Down by the riverside that day… you stole my heart away
It’s true… I fell in love with you…that day
Down by the riverside my beer is nearly gone
Just like the river flowing by… guess it’s time you move along
I wish that I could find some way you would stay here with me
But if you do come back one day… then this is where I’ll be
Down by the riverside me and you… it was like a dream come true
Down by the riverside you and me it was the perfect place to be
Down by the riverside that day… I’d say you stole my heart away
Down by the riverside…

Your Secret by Tyler Selph copyright 2017 all rights reserved
A new song of suggestion to those who may be keeping secrets they need to let out... Hope you enjoy it... Lyrics below 'Your Secret" So you’ve got a big secret that you’re hiding inside So many feelings afraid to confide A secret so secret that you’ve not told a soul But this secret you’re keeping well it starts to get old It’s growing so old So many fears all those tears that you’ve hidden Doing those things you wish you never did and Afraid to display or to say how you feel So your keeping your secret it won’t be revealed But a secret as secret as yours seems to be Can wear on your heart and appear on your sleeve It can screw up your karma can drive you insane A secret like this one can mess with your brain It can drive you insane So I’ve a suggestion I hope you will try Cause it’s not very fun when you’re living a lie Set it free and you’ll see how much better you’ll feel Time to give up your secret it’s time to get real Show how you truly feel Come out of that shell that you’re hiding inside Be true to yourself and have nothing to hide Telling the truth is the best thing to do Just look what this secret is doing to you But these secrets your keeping there keeping inside They’re too much too bare and they’re too hard to hide And the longer you try to deny what is true The longer the secret keeps eating at you Yeah these secrets your keeping there inside your heart Will slowly destroy you and tear you apart No you must let it out and be true to yourself Cause its hurting you more… than anyone else… So I’ve a suggestion I hope you will try Cause life can be hell when you’re living a lie Set it free and you’ll see how much better you’ll feel Time to break out your secret… it’s time to get real Let the secret be revealed and you’ll see how you’ll feel How it feels to get real…

They Called Me Pendejo by Tyler Selph copyright 2017 all rights reserved
Just a goofy song about a stupid guy who went on a vacation to Mexico and doesn't know the language... Hope you enjoy it. Soon available as are all my tunes on Spotify Groove music, Google play Amazon and more...
“They Called Me Pendejo”
I’d been planning a trip so I boarded a ship for a cruise down to lovely Cancun
I’d heard of this beach where the women were sweet and was hoping to get there real soon
When I arrived on the shore there was much to explore pretty soon found my way to the bar
Didn’t speak any Spanish but still I could manage with women not getting too far
As I drank at the bar… at the bar…
After having a few too many a brews and many a shot of hot rum
I kinda got loud at everyone in the crowd started thinking they all must be dumb
I had told them my name and I know this sounds strange
But not one of these guys seemed to know
And I still don’t know why they forgot my name’s Ty
And they called me instead… Pendejo
Yeah they called me Pendejo
Yeah they called me Pendejo… that’s the name I would hear.
Say Pendejo… how long are you here
Hey Pendejo… how are you in Cancun
They said Pendejo… hope you’re leaving soon
Now I’ve tried and I tried but I still don’t know why all the guys were all acting so ticked
They were waving their hands at me while I was dancing with all the fine Mexican chicks.
So I asked this young lady and she told me maybe so both of us walked out the door.
We went to her place and we had quite a night in the morning woke up on the floor
And I’ll never forget that wild night in Cancun the memories will remain
Of a bar on the beach where it seemed out of reach for the folks to remember my name
And they called me Pendejo… that’s the name I would hear.
Yeah they’d call me Pendejo… they’d say how long are you here
And they’d call me Pendejo… why are you in Cancun
And they’d all say Pendejo… hope you’re leaving soon… Pendejo
Yeah they’d call me Pendejo… why that is isn’t clear
But they’d call me Pendojo… every time I’d appear
And they’d say hey Pendejo why are you in Cancun
Say hey Pendejo are you leaving soon
On my trip to Cancun

I heard Tom Petty had passed away and was very surprised and saddened. He had just finished up a very successful tour and even sold out his last three shows in the Hollywood bowl in last month. So sad to hear the news and then hear it wasn't true? A crazy way to go but I'm sure Tommy enjoyed the attention... or at least I hope so... Anyway... I felt like writing him a poem which I posted here yesterday. This morning I put my poem to music and hope you like what I came up with. I have used the titles of 16 of Tom's songs throughout the lyrics and I hope you enjoy it...
"Tommy's Gone"
well The Waiting is over… heard the news and I cried.Cause I now know it’s true such a cool guy has died.So I’m singing this song and I’m saying goodbye. To a person Freefalling now Learning To Fly away… She Was An American Girl yeah he told us all so.His Guitar Gently Wept while he put on a show.Mary Jane a romance of which he wrote a song. And they shared one last dance before she moved on… Ah yeah… before she was gone...He said I Won’t Back Down to those damn record labels. And he charted his own course because he was able. And he didn’t Breakdown was a tough Refugee. You Got Lucky... if you knew him indeed.
It was true what he said back in seventy nine.Even The Losers get lucky, get lucky sometimes. But I guess like Tom said now it’s Time To Move On.You Don’t Know How It Feels seems unreal that he’s gone away today. But Tommy’s Gone… he’s moving on. I envision him now Running Down A dream. And I’m grateful God for giving us this cool human being. But I Should Have Known he’d be leaving this place. And I pray that the Lord will show his Saving Grace... And as I move forward I’ll hear his songs play. And they’ll always bring memories of sweet younger days.On the radio waves now his spirit lives on.And we’ll never forget the way he played a song. But Tommy’s gone… Long gone… RIP Tommy

Fairy Tale Ending Music by Signum Temporus, Vocals and lyrics by Tyler Selph. Here's a tune which was originally created by Signum Temporus and I asked him if I could add some lyrics and vocals to it.
I was very happy when he said go ahead and do something so here's what we've created together and I hope you enjoy it. I do not know who the female vocalist is at the very end but I'm hoping Sig will be kind enough to let me know. I'll update the description once I've been informed who she is. Enjoy..! Here is the original track on Signum's site. Hear the original track here. https://youtu.be/qohEfEjXITMI
Now the lyrics
"Fairy Tale Ending"
I hope for a fairy tale ending… And I wait for a make-believe end…I wanna ride off on a white horse… off to a world of pretend…Pretending that you are my princess… pretending that I am just a toad
You hear me and find me defenseless kiss me and watch me explode
Explode into your shining prince on a white horse to take you away
But it’s all just a dream I’ve been dreaming… reality so far away…My friends they all say I’ve gone crazy say I’m way out of my league
Yet I find you truly amazing… full of suspense and intrigue
My horsie right now is a Kia… not a horse that was made to impress
And I’m certain that I’ll never see ya… in my passenger’s seat in a dress…
But I hope for a fairy tale ending… I wait for a make-believe end…
I wanna ride off on a white horse… off to a world of pretend…
Pretending that you are my princess pretending that I’m just a toad
You hear me and find me defenseless kiss me and watch me explode
Into your shining prince… white horsey to take you away
But it’s all just a dream I’ve been dreaming… reality so far away…

"Man On The Corner" copyright 2017 by Tyler Selph Also available on Spotify, ITunes and more.Hey everybody..! Well I have many new collabs going on right now and they're going to be posted soon but for now, here's an older live performance I found on VHS and I apologize for the poor video quality but I felt the performance was worth posting and I hope you enjoy it...
Lead vocal- me
Lead guitar- Bo Barbot
Bass guitar- Andy Shaw
Drums- Bobbi Gruhler
Lyrics below
I saw an old man standing on the corner
In ragged pants and a tattered vest
I wished for this guy it was a little warmer But a cold front was coming from the West
He holds a sign in his weary hands
That tells me that he'll work for food
He hopes that you'll toss some change into his can but most folks just aren't in the mood...
Is this guy a victim of society?
Or was this guy just born to lose?
And though I don't believe this could ever happen to me... I'd sure hate to be stuck in his shoes.
Where if you're one of the fortunate ones...You'll get in the YMCA
But if they don't have enough room there for you then where the hell else will you stay..?
Well a box ain't too bad in the Summertime
It's easy to handle the heat
But it gets real damn cold in the Wintertime
When if falls below 30 degrees
And if you don't mind standing in a long line
You might get some soup they hand out
You can smell that food but you still can't conclude you'll get there before it runs out..!
No you can't guarantee a thing when you're out in the street..!
Could we be related to this old man
You might think your chances are slim
But you best put away every penny you can and pray you don't wind up like him
Said you best put away every penny you can and pray you don't wind up like him. Yeah you best put away every penny that you can...

Light up
My eyes feel so heavy
When the stars are calling me
And I'm losing all the sight
Of everything that I know
Will you see these things in the same light oh oh
Walker on a dirt track, oh oh
Through the wind and the snow
In this world of suffering
Love, peace of mind should be our thing
Light up, light up, light up
Light up, light up, light up
Can you see them float in the sky?
Can you hear those echoes of their cries?
Creating a tune…
Do you see the light?
I've… tried so steady
To make something out of what I've seen
But I need you by my side
To find all the answers that I don‘t know
Will you see these things in the same light oh oh
Walker on a dirt track, oh ho
Through the wind and the snow
In this new world of suffering
Love, peace of mind should be our thing
Light up, light up, light up
Bring me the light
So I could find a way
Ahhhh help me… help me find the way
To a brighter day
Can you observe them shine so bright…
Can you feel their loneliness through their cold light
Mmmm… touching you…
Light up… You gotta light up the way
Light up the way… for me…
Uhhuh, gotta gotta light up the way for me…
Do you understand? I need your help I need you by my side
To light my way
Light it up… light my way…
Ahhh light my way light the way for me…
Can you see the light?

Thank You Lord, Tyler Selph, copyright 2017 all rights reserved. Here's a studio version of a song I wrote and posted here a few years back. It's one of my favorites and I hope you too will like it.
Lyrics
Thank you Lord by Tyler Selph
I thank you Lord for all you’ve done
I thank you for your only son
I know without him in my life
I’d never make it through the strife.
I love you Lord for loving me
And taking care of all my needs
And as for all you’ve yet to do
I want to say… say thanks to you.
Thank you Lord… Thank you Lord
For you have taken all my burden
All the pain and all the hurt and
All my sins have been forgiven by Christ’s blood
Yes you gave your only son
So my soul it could be won
What a wonderfully precious act of love
So thank you Lord… Thank you Lord…
Thank you Lord… Thank you Lord
Your story Lord I’ll spread world-wide
The truth it will not be denied
And satan will not ever conquer thee
And should we perish in your name
We’re still in heaven just the same
And in the end we all will sing to you
Thank you Lord… Thank you Lord
Thank you Lord… Thank you Lord
Until we meet I’ll sing your praise
Lord guide me through these hectic days
My prayer please hear it grant me peace
Your guiding spirit stay with me
I thank you Lord for all you’ve done
And thanks for all you’ve yet to do
Thank you Lord… Thank you Lord
Thank you Lord… Thank you Lord
Thank you Lord

I Lit A Candle For You by Tyler Selph. Copyright 2017 all rights reserved. Here's one I wrote a few years ago and recorded a few months ago but just had re-recorded by my friend Jamie Laritz of Dogear Studios with studios in both Ft Myers FL and Nashville TN. He is an incredible musician and recording technician. He plays all of the instruments on this song and did all the editing & mixing. All I had to do was sing the vocals when he was done with all the tracks and how easy is that? This song is also available on iTunes and Spotify. Now the lyrics... "I Lit A Candle For You"
When I invited you for dinner I was hoping you’d say yes. And when you asked what I was serving I told you, you would have to guess You smiled when I suggested that we dine in candle light…And in the end you said alright… And I had dreamed of this night…So I lit a candle for you baby… And I... I was hoping maybeThat you would make my dream come true And I might... share just one night with youSo I lit a candle as I waited for you… I lit a candleI placed the candle on the table as I polished up the place Stood thinking of the way the candle-light would shine upon your face And I hoped that you would like my place and hoped you'd be impressed As I looked into the mirror hoped you like the way I'm dressed? But suddenly I noticed that the night was getting late I wondered where you were you said that you'd be here by eight I thought by now that you’d have had a lobster on your plate.Instead I'm only wondering and I guess you're running late. But I lit a candle for you baby cause you told me, told me you'd be there And I set the candle there on the table with fine wine for us to share And now I watch the candle melting see the wax all dripping down And I feel like such a loser and I feel like such a clown… Cause I lit a candle for you baby… but soon… soon it will go out... I guess the date you made with me… You simply… forgot about And as the candle keeps on melting it becomes a work of art And I'll never let you know how much you truly broke my heart...

Cheryl Marie, melody and lyrics by Tyler Selph, copyright 2017 all rights reserved. This song is about how my wife and I met many years ago but it wasn't until many years later we met again and got married. This song was posted about a year ago but I have had my friend Jamie re-work the instruments and I've added the vocals. Hope you enjoy it.
Cheryl Marie
Was it all just by chance we met that night in that bar
And the two of us danced then we took a ride in my car
You were only 19 and looked so good in those jeans
And it seemed like a dream
That you were with me
And it was so nice to be
With sweet Cheryl Marie
Way back in 83
We drove to a party but nobody showed
So we jumped in my sports car and we hit the road
Then we parked on a hillside you let my fingers explore
And we both wanted more
We drove back to my place and made our way to my room
But somehow we passed out… from all the drinks we’d consumed
But neither one worried no neither one of us cared
Cause we weren’t in a hurry no we weren’t going nowhere
In the morning I woke up and you still there by my side
Seemed you wanted make love you had that look in our eyes
But before you would let me would let me proceed.
You said, don’t ever forget me…
My name is Cheryl Marie
Don’t you dare forget me
That’s what she said to me
Back in 83
We drove through the night
She was holding on tight
She said faster and faster
It was love we were after
She was so full of laughter
Sweet Cheryl Marie
As sweet as could be
Young and wild and carefree
Sweet Cheryl Marie…

In A Perfect World, copyright 2017, all rights reserved. This is a song I recorded about a year ago but just had re-done by my friend Jamie Laritz. Also available on iTunes, Spotify and other online sites.
Hope you enjoy it.
Lyrics below.
In a perfect world
You would win every game
And in a perfect world there is no one to blame
In a perfect world there’d be no right or wrong
In a perfect world everyone..... just gets along
In a perfect world
But a true perfect world that’s impossible see
And the truth is that’s something that never could be
There’s a reason why people always disagree
Cause what’s perfect for you isn’t..... perfect for me
Are you starting to see?
If the pitcher strikes out every batter he meets
They all call that a perfect game but was it really you see
Although he seemed perfect when he won that game
Was the pitcher so perfect or were the batters just lame?
That were playing the game...
Let’s say that somebody has big party plans
And their praying the rain will not mess up their plans
But the farmers depend on their seeds all to sprout
And they’re praying for rain cause there’s been a long drought...
Have you figured this out?
Oh this world isn’t perfect oh no no it’s not
Take a good look around and you’ll see what we’ve got
It’s a world full of war where the innocent fear
It’s a world far from perfect that’s perfectly clear
Let’s say that a soldier who fights for his life
Has to shoot someone else or to stab with a knife
To him it seems perfect he somehow survived
But was it really so perfect when the other guy died?
At the edge of a knife
And his mother she cried…
Long into the night…
In a perfect world there’d be no fighting at all
In a perfect world not one more soldier would fall
In a perfect world people there’d be no war
And a perfect world’s what we should all be... fighting for In a perfect world… in a perfect world… in a perfect world… in a perfect world...

Goodbye, So Long, Farewell... Copyright 2017 by Tyler Selph all rights reserved.
This tune was recorded by my friend Jamie Laritz. For those who haven't heard my last song, Jamie is the owner of Dogearstudios and in my opinion he is an incredible musician and recording technician. He plays all of the instruments on this song and did all the mixing. All I had to do was sing the vocals when he was done with all the tracks and how easy is that? If you're a music artist and would like to have your songs professionally recorded contact Jamie yourself at Dogearstudios@gmail.com or call Jamie at 615-480-5103 and mention promo code 5503 for discount pricing for tracks, and mixing. This tune will soon be available on iTunes, Amazon, Google-play, Spotify and others.
Goodbye… So Long… Farewell… Lyrics
I knew right from the start that you could break my heart would tear my world apart and so I stayed away
You wore your blue jeans tight and had them ripped just right to whet my appetite and you just loved to play
To play with hearts of boys to you they are just toys they’d fall in love with you and then here’s what you do
You’d simply write a note and in it what you wrote would tear their fragile worlds apart
You’d leave your note on their bed and they read what it said it really messed up their heads when they read
Goodbye… so long… farewell… and we’ll see ya later
Goodbye… so long… farewell… see ya later alligator
Goodbye… so long… farewell…
So me I stayed away and when you’d look my way I’d look the other way I would not give away
That I was hot for you like all the other dudes then right out of the blue I got pursued by you
You held her body close thought I might overdose you whispered in my ear why don’t we disappear?
I didn’t have a clue what you were gonna do what you would put me through but knew I wanted you
You took me to your place yeah I was blown away there are no word to say the way you made me feel
Your body soft and smooth you showed me all your moves I really dug your groove it all just seemed unreal
I never guessed that I would be your type of guy and still I don’t know why why you gave me a try
But I’m sure glad you did I’m glad I visited I’m glad I stayed the night cause you were out of sight
But in my head I knew that you would leave just like you’re known to do
So in the morning I jumped up and made some coffee and poured a cup
I found a pad and pen and wrote I wrote to you a little note
I left the note there by your bed and you can guess just what it said
Goodbye… so long… farewell… and we’ll see ya later
Goodbye… so long… farewell… see ya later alligator
Goodbye… so long… farewell… it was great to know ya
Goodbye, so long farewell… but I’ve got to go away…
Cause I know that if I stay
That you’ll break my heart in two
And I know that’s what you will do
So I must say goodbye to you
So long… farewell… and I’ll see ya later
Goodbye… so long… farewell… it was nice to know ya
Goodbye… so long… farewell…
Goodbye… so long… farewell…
Goodbye

"Goldielocks"
Well she’s my Goldielocks and I’m her Papa Bear
Yeah she’s my Goldielocks got that golden hair
Well I’m coming home to find my place is a mess
But I’m not here alone no I got a special guest
Her name is Goldielocks and she’s here in my place
Cause it’s her that I’m smelling… and her I can taste..!
Goldielocks ohhhh and I’m her Papa Bear
Well I come to the table and find all my food
Goldie’s cooked a dinner that puts me in the mood
Yeah she cooked my favorites and knows I like meat rare
Knows just how to flavor it and nothing compares
To my Goldielocks ahhaww and I’m her Papa Bear
Yeah she’s my Goldielocks got that golden hair
Well head to the parlor and sit in my chair
Appears again that Goldie's been there
If you ask me how I know I can tell you a lot I can tell that it’s Goldie
Cause the chair is still so hot… oh so hot!
Yeah she’s my Goldielocks mmm and I’m her Papa Bear
She’s my Goldielocks got that golden hair
Well I pick up the candle and I head up to bed
Can’t wait to see Goldie lying there in my bed
And who knows maybe she’ll kiss me and share
And maybe she’ll have missed me when I wasn’t there
Goldielocks ahhaa and I’m her Papa Bear
Ohhh she’s such a fox ohhh and she loves to share
Uh huh oh yeah Uh huh uh oh woh ho
Yeah she’s my Goldielocks and I’m her Papa Bear

Mother Nature by Tyler Selph, copyright 2017, all rights reserved.
Every once in a while I get inspired to try to make up something on the spur of the moment and see what happens. I'll turn on my iphone video recorder and just let things fall where they may. I would suggest you give it a try sometime if you never have before. It's a fun thing to do and who knows what may happen..?
This one was created in my Brother-in-laws back yard on a beautiful day...! Enjoy..!
Titled "Mother Nature"... lyrics below...
Today I looked… and this is what I see…
A beautiful… environment serene
And there I got to watch a Bumble-bee… and it occurred to me…
That this was destiny
Mother Nature… it’s incredible, it’s impossible… that is not designed
It truly seems to me to be divine…. Mother Nature… Woahhhhh… Mother Nature
How serene, hear that bird oh hear it sing…
It sings a sweet… sweet song…
And all the other birds… they sing along...
That’s Mother Nature…. Oooooh… That’s Mother Nature… Oowoawohoo..
Mother Nature… Woaoh... Mother Nature… Woaoh…That’s Mother Nature….

Here's a poem I uploaded a few years ago that I put to my friend John Corsaro's killer drum playing. See John's original video posted here.... http://fandalism.com/odddrum/el38 I title my poem "Teenage Thoughts" and it is about the way many kids seem to act and think this day in age. Hope you like it! Copyright 2017 all rights reserved.Teenage thoughtsI'll tell ya bout my mom and dad The two of them they get real mad It seems no matter how I try No way to see them eye to eye They call me just a teenage punk But they're the one's who are the flunks As parents they've completely failed And I'm the one who's getting railed They've treated me with no respect Since I quit school but what the heck Don't really care to graduate When I already have a life that's great My mom and dad they'll care for me And me... well I'll live here for free What more could anybody need Sounds pretty sweet don't you agree? My mom and dad they criticize It's time they opened up their eyes I see beyond all of their lies And yell fuck you while mama cries They say it's time that I move out But that's not happening no doubt I'm staying here till forced to leave And that's just how it is you see They're angry I dropped out of school They say I'm dumb but they're the fools I'm 18 and I make the rules And no one's calling me a fool I'll have my way and I'll live rent free No no-one's getting rid of me Don't give a damn that's plain to see My parents will take care of me I'm sick and tired of being told By people who are growing old What I should do how I should act It's time they all cut me some slack I take it easy cause I can It should be clear to understand. Why should I have to work so hard I make my daddy mow the yard I live right now on easy street Roof over-head free food to eat Take out the garbage? Don't think so Don't even ask my ass to mow I do what I want and I have no fear I steal my mama's last cold beer Call me a failure go ahead But while you're at it make my bed! You guys are wrong I've never failed And if I do wind up in jail I got good news good news to tell You'll be the ones to pay my bail Call me a failure if you like I'll tell you both to take a hike I'm living wild and living free Now go away don't bother me...

Here's one me and my friends from around the world put together. I wrote it, my friend Jamie Laritz played all the instruments on it, I sang it and JC Binetti created the video. The song title is If I Don't Have You... I Ain't Got Nothin
Also available on iTunes, Spotify and other online sites as are almost all my tunes.
Lyrics and melody - Tyler Selph- Williamston, Michigan
Drums, Bass, Guitar, Keyboards Jamie Laritz - Nashville, TN
Vocals recorded by - Sean Barrett of LaBarrettory Studios - Williamston, Michigan
Final mixing - Jamie Laritz of Dog Ear Studios - Nashville, TN
If I Don’t Have You, I Ain’t Got Nothin
I could be rich and famous…might be a movie star
Ride around in big black limo or maybe drive a fancy car
I could have every single thing everything this world could give
But I know that that if I don’t have you… then I ain’t got nothin..!
No I ain't got nothin..!
I could earn a diploma and I could get some degree
I could make a lotta money and I could buy anything
I could make a million dollars or become a billionaire
But I know that if I don’t have you… then I ain’t got nothin…!
No I ain't got nothin..!
I could travel all around the world from sea to shining sea
But it wouldn’t be no fun at all if you weren’t here with me
I could have a castle made of gold and servants at my feet
But I wouldn’t be as happy as I am when you’re with me
I could climb the corporate ladder go all the way to the top
Be a doctor a lawyer or get rich trading stocks
But it’s all superficial and it doesn’t mean a thing
Cause I know that if I don’t have you… Then I ain’t got nothin..!
No I ain’t got nothin..!
Said I ain't got nothin..!
No I ain't got nothin..!
I ain’t got nothin..!
I ain’t got nothin..!
I ain’t got nothin..!
No I ain’t got nothin..!

Here's one of my tunes put to a short video by a couple of my close friends Richard and Maurice. I had submitted a Christmas song to Ford for their consideration as an ad and this was what my friends sent back to me as if it was from Ford. It was a great prank on me as it was shown on my email as coming from TeamDetroitAdv.com and at first I thought it was the real deal and they were doing a trial run of it. Pay close attention to the credits at the end for a few hidden meanings in the names which I didn't catch until my friends told me... Anyway... I hope you enjoy it...

Forever Together
Copyright 2017 by Tyler Selph
Hey everyone... This is a song I wrote for one of my best friends weddings back in the 90's. My good friend Andy Shaw on bass. The photo is of the moment me and my wife Cheryl tied the know with a kiss... Hope you all like the tune...
Forever Together Both of us knowing that our love is real
This is our way of showing the way we truly feel
Thinking now of the good times we've shared in the past
And we've both come to realize that we want them to last forever... together...
I think of the future and living with you
Nothing else I could dream of that I'd rather do... and we'll share all our feelings and erase all our fears and our love will grow stronger as we share the years together...
Forever.... sharing our lives together..
Forever ever and ever...
We accept that the future... may sometimes get rough but we know that we'll make it Cause our love is strong enough.
We won't let anything stand in our way...
No nothing can come between the love we share today and forever.... together...
Together... forever...
As we grow older we'll look back and see... You and I with each other it was truly meant to be
So we'll be together and we'll help each other through cause we know what we're doing when we each say I do it means
Forever... together... sharing our lives together... forever and ever and ever...

I had to re-post this song...
I noticed in my first post I had cut off the ending.
I wrote the poem and then Danijela Jovic, (SergeJ77 on Fando) was kind enough to offer a piano accompaniment.
It is about a very close friend and once listened to, you'll know what happened to him. He will be sorely missed. I want to thank Danijela so much because without him on the piano... this would just be a poem...
"One Guys Death"
My friend of 10 years shot himself in the chest… three times… believe it or not? With a revolver… as impossible as that seems…
But nonetheless we were told by those who discovered his body there were no sign of foul play… just one set of footprints… leading away from the van… which had gotten stuck in a farmer’s field.
The footprints led from the van to a single wooden hunting blind… raised on stilts… approximately eight feet off the ground…
It appeared that under heavy sedation from a mix of prescription pills he had been taking for back pain… that he made his way to the wooden blind…climbed the ladder and once inside…decided this was the place to end it all.
I feel very saddened that although I had made many attempts to contact him over the past few months… I had not spoken to him...
When traveling near his home my wife and I had called to see if we could drop by… but no one ever picked up the phone or called us back so we never did… and now… we both wish we had…
I deeply regret that we did not go there and did not recognize until too late… what was really going on…
I am also deeply troubled by the fact his wife… of 10 years… did not take care of him... and never reported to someone the severity of what was happening… and this in and of itself is a tragedy..!
During the last weeks I have had so many questions? Even doubting whether or not it was actually a suicide? So I conducted my own investigation and was very thorough…
Even visited the scene… yes I was there and saw the wooden blind where it all happened. I also studied the autopsy pictures of my friend’s face that I could not even recognize. A full face beard... a loss of over 50 pounds in less than two months?
He looked as though he had been totally neglected and left to just wither away..!
I cringed as I saw the bullet holes in his chest and I cried.
It was extremely hard to accept but I realize now… that it must be true
and he did in fact take his own life for there is nothing to prove otherwise… This fact I have to come to resolution with and understand, there’s nothing I could have done...perhaps… even if I had spoken to him… well it was his destiny.
So I say farewell to you my good friend with whom I fished, and camped and I played and sang with and I want to tell the world… that this guy… will never be forgotten….RIP my friend…

We Cried, a poem written by Tyler Selph Piano by Danijela Jovic. I am honored to have Danijela (Sergej77) work with me on this project. Her melody was the perfect fit if you ask me. Hope you all like it...
We Cried
I came home late one night stepped through the door.
I saw a strange man whom I’d never met before.
My wife said it was awkward I would call strange.
From that night on… my life it changed.
I turned around as she stepped in the room.
And I could tell I smelled her sweet perfume.
And though she’d shown me its not me she’s really thinking of.
She claimed that it was only me… she truly loved.
I didn’t buy it… it was all a lie.
Could see she’d fallen for that other guy.
I stood and listened as she tried to justify.
Then I kissed... that girl goodbye…
And we cried and we cried… as I kissed her goodbye…
You think in life you’ve got things figured out.
Then find out what life’s really all about.
You want to go somewhere just run and hide.
To take your lumps and swallow all your pride.
But now it’s over now for me and her.
Hard to remember now it’s all a blur.
I wish that we were still the way we were.
But then again… I really don’t.
Today I saw her briefly on the street.
She softly spoke to me her voice so sweet.
But still I knew that I could not repeat that scene.
Know what I mean?
And me and her we cried when I kissed her goodbye.
I’d grown tired of all her lies..
We both had tears that filled our eyes…
As I told that girl goodbye… yes we cried… we cried… and we cried…

I've Gotta Ask My Wife, copyright 2017 Tyler Selph all rights reserved. This song was originally a very cool instrumental created by Sergej77 and he allowed me to add some lyrics to it. Here is a link to Sergej77 original post. http://fandalism.com/sergej77/bqOB Hope you like it..!
Lyrics...
Had this friend of mine that came to me way back in nineteen-eighty-three
Said now’s the time to buy some stock… in Apple, just two bucks a shot
He told me I’d get rich one day
Two thousand’s all I’d have to pay
To own one thousand shares that great I’ll put that apple on my plate.
I said to him that sounds real good you know I’d do it if I could
But you know friend I’d be truly cursed if I don’t go and ask my wife first... "Happy wife happy life" :-)
So I proposed to my sweetie pie… my friend said now’s the time to buy
But she said boy there’s just no way that we could now afford to pay
Two thousand bucks that’s all we’ve got… and it’s a gamble just a shot
A shot in the dark with no guarantees so my wife no and would not agree...
She was looking after me... Eventually I wound up broke my wife she left with another bloke
The price of Apple stock look there… A hundred forty bucks per share..!
A hundred forty bucks oh my just did the math and I wanna cry
A hundred forty thousand bucks… My wife said no and I got fucked
So where’s my wife you ask of me? Remember that friend in 83?
She looked him up and he was rich ran off with him that friggin bitch
That’s right she took on his last name in search of fortune in search of fame
Just take a look here at my life… cause I had to go and ask my wife..!
Ahhhh... but in the end I fared okay even though my wife and my friend ran away
I remember back to eighty-three and what my friend had said to me
Little secret too that I’ll now let out… see I’d bought 8,000 shares no doubt
Seven hundred grand my friends do you like the way this story ends?

I Lit A Candle For You song by Tyler Selph, copyright 2017 All rights reserved.
Here's one that I uploaded as just a poem a few years ago and decided to put a melody to it and here's the end result... Hope you like it...
When I invited you for dinner you surprised me with a yes.
When you asked what I was serving
I told you, you would have to guess
You smiled when I suggested that we dine in candle light…
But in the end.... you said alright… and I had dreamed of this night…
So I lit a candle for you baby…
and I, I was hoping maybe...
That you would make all my dreams come true and I might.... share one night with you...
I lit a candle… as I waited for you…
I lit a candle...
I placed the candle on the table as I polished up the place
Stood thinking of the way the light would shine upon your face
And I hoped that you would like my place and hoped you'd be impressed
As I looked into the mirror hoped you like the way I'm dressed?
But suddenly I noticed that the night was getting late
Wondered where you were you said that you'd be here by eight?
I thought by now that you’d have had a lobster on your plate.
Instead I'm only wondering and guess you're running late?
But I lit a candle for you baby cause you told me, you told me you'd be there...
And I set the candle on the table with champagne for us to share
Now I watch the candle melting see the wax all dripping down...
And I feel like such a loser and I feel like such a clown…
Cause I lit a candle for you baby… but soon… soon it will go out...
I guess the date you made with me… you simply… forgot about...
And as the candle keeps on melting it becomes a work of art
And I'll never let you know how much you tore my world apart...

His Wife Wouldn't Let Him, copyright 2017 by Tyler Selph, lyrics in description.
Here's one that was listed as just a poetry piece about 3 years ago but I decided to plop some music on it and here's the end result... Hope you all enjoy it..!
His Wife Wouldn't Let Him
Gambling late, way into the night
The man’s on fire and his wife outta sight
Poker's the game and they do poker right
With his wife there beside him… he wins every night
And everything is alright..!
The cards are all dealt and he draws a straight flush
Guy cross the table he raises a bluff
But he's holding a winner there in his hand
But his wife moves her hand and he understands and he folds…
And he does as was told…
Cause his wife wouldn't let him she made him give in
And if he had won well a ton he would win
But his wife wouldn't let him she motioned to fold
And he loved her so much… that he did as was told.
And his wife wouldn’t let him…
She… he learned a long time ago… she's always right
That's why he… keeps winning with her every night
They all call him the gambler but no nobody knows
That his wife's in control with the touch of her nose
But nobody knows...?
She touches the tip that tells him to hold
She touches the bridge and it's time to just fold.
She touches the left side he knows he can't win
She touches the right and… he's going all in!
Mmmm and this is how they both win..! Mmmmm…
So that Saturday night, full moon up in the sky
The wager ran up to a new record high
And the crowd gathered round all to see history
But his wife stepped away at that moment you see...
Well he stalled and he stalled but… she never appeared
What the heck should he do? Lose it all so he feared…oooh
So he raised the stakes high and he… said I'm all in
And at that very moment was when his wife stepped back in...
Then alas the last card and who would have known
His card wasn’t dealt and the crowd it all moaned
And his wife she just smiled turned and walked out the door
Cause her husband’s opponent had offered her more...

"Good with a Gun"
Collaboration with John Corsaro
I've never really attempted to do Rap music so here's my first rap effort. I asked John if he'd like to be involved in any way and he allowed me to pick any drum post he had uploaded onto YouTube and run with it. So I picked his tuned titled Rhythmic Joker VII and here's what I came up with.
Copyright 2017 by Tyler Selph
"Good With A Gun"
13 year boy and he’s home alone
Don’t know now for sure why there was no one else home
There and engaged in his video game when he heard a loud sound heard a loud bang
There was one bang then two, heard it again, he realized someone else was breaking in
So he ran to a bedroom where dad kept a gun and he knew how to shoot it cause his dad taught his son
Mhmm to be good with a gun… that’s right
Yeah his dad taught his son taught him all that he knew
Taught his son how to hunt taught his son how to shoot
And had he not time for the teaching he’d done
Who knows what would’ve happened that night to his son?
Mhmm… who was good with a gun… that’s right
The boy ran to a room found the gun and clip racked in a round held it firm to his hip
When he met the thieves the boy this is what he did say said you’d better all freeze or I’ll blow you away..!
The thieves were all stupid and they all ignored they attacked and he fired two fell to the floor.
The other one ran but not far it’s no lie cause there in the driveway… is where that guy died.
Mhmm… Cause he was good with a gun, cause his dad taught his son…
Police showed up their flashing blue lights found one thief with brass knuckles the other a knife
They saw where the burglars broke through the door found them lying in puddles of blood on the floor
13 years old and the cops were all shocked a kid at that age how could he be such a shot...
Just 13 years old and the cops were all shocked that kid at that age could be such a great shot
But the truth is his dad yes his dad was the one who taught him to hunt and get good with a gun…
Mmhmm… yeah his dad taught his son… mhmm and he was good with a gun…
From when his dad taught his son…
He was good with a gun… and he killed everyone… cause his dad taught his son to be good with a gun…
Had he not done what he had done for his son who knows what becomes of his son… with no gun?
Yeah his dad took the time to teach all he knew
Taught his son how to hunt taught his son how to shoot
And had he not took the time and all that teachings he’s done
Then who knows what would’ve happen… that night to his son…
Who was good with a gun… very good with a gun…
Good with a gun… very good with a gun..!

This Song Is About You copyright 2017 by Tyler Selph
If I were to write you a love song would you know it was only for you?
Cause if written I’d keep it a secret that it’s you who I’m singing it to
That’s right I would never tell no one who it’s written for I’d never say
But if I were to write you a love song then the lyrics… might give it away... That’s what some folks would say…
Cause if I were to write you a love song, it would tell you I’m so glad we met
It would tell you I’m so very grateful
Al Gore gave us all internet… lol
Cause without him we’d not know each other without him I doubt there’s a way
That we would have ever discovered or found one another that day...
So this song is about you and you know that it’s true… That this song is about you… am I getting this through? That I’m so glad you found me and… I’m glad I found you
And I’m hoping you’ll realize… this song’s about you...
This song’s about you…
So now one last clue I have for you that I hope makes it perfectly clear
That this love songs for you and you only, for you and you only my dear
For if not for a letter you sent me there’d be, be no song here to write
And you know I can only keep dreaming... of sleeping beside you tonight... and you know this is right… Not beside you tonight...
So this song is about you… and you know that it’s true… That this song is about you… am I getting this through
That I’m so glad you found me and I’m glad I found you
And I’m hoping you’ll realize… this song’s about you… and you know that it’s true...

I wish I could take credit for the melody line here but I think the Stray Cats as mentioned below may have dibs on that. Actually I did a little research and as it turns out Richard Hell & The Voidoids did a song called Blank Generation having this same progression which came out about 5 years before Stray Cat Strut was released. Some say Brian Setzer of the Stray Cats stole the progression but who knows? Here's a link to the tune if you're interested... You'll find the song at the 16:54 minute mark.

Julio he's a ladies man and that's all that we really knowWhere he came from nobody knows andnobody knows where he'll go...Out of nowhere he seems to appear.. and he buys everybody a beerWhere he goes all the chicks gather round...Yeah that's where all the babes can be found with Julio... Julio...The women all love him and the men all just wish he would leaveHow does Julio always show with up... with girls on each sleeveJulio..! Julio..!Ahh...he never eats candy he's just too sweet and he mesmerizesthe girl's that he meetsHe's a man full of love and knows how to romanceAll the girls hope that Julio... gets in their pants! Julio... Julio...He's a man full of mystery and he gets all his wine and his women for freeWhen I saw him last night I would swear it's a fact he had three..!When Julio plays guitar and he sings all the ladies they want give Julio everythingTo be by his side and to have a few kids but Julio that's not the way that he lives... Julio... that's Julio...They all tell Julio they... love him and so and they hope and they pray that he'll let his feelings show... but Julio always has somewhere else to go... Julio...Julio... A fun song about St. Patrick's Day.
I hope you enjoy it...
St. Patrick’s Day..!
St. Patrick was born long ago in this world as a boy he was taken one day
To the Irish a slave until he had a dream of a ship that would take him away...
If you study you’ll learn that one day he returned to the land that had kept him in chains
And you’ll see what he did was convert all the pagans oh yes he did make quite a change..!
So they made him a Patron and when he did die I’ll not lie that he paved all the way
For those who had listened converted to Christians and that’s why he’s famous today..!
So why all the beer well that’s not really clear but it’s clear that the beer will be green
And they’ll put it away by the pint all the day and get ripped if you know what I mean?
So I’m raising my glass and I’ll toast to the past and the Saint who deserves to be cheered
So here’s to St. Patrick come on raise it up but make sure that’s your mugs full of beer..!
Pass one over here..!
Yes its St. Patrick’s Day and we’re going to have a parade..!
And we’ll all get drunk its okay it’s finally St. Patrick’s Day
Yes it’s St. Patrick’s Day and we’re going to have a parade
And we’re going to drink lots of brew
And you know that’s just what we will do.
On St. Patrick’s Day..! Finally St. Patrick’s Day
So today is St. Patrick’s Day… and everyone’s happy and gay
And you better wear green if you know what I mean or get pinched on the cheek of the ass!
So we’re going to have us a beer
And we’re glad everyone can be here
And we’ll all say hip hip hooray! Cause it’s finally St. Patrick’s Day..!
Ahhh it’s St. Patrick’s Day… we all get to behave… and get carried away..!
We love St. Patrick’s Day! Ahhh now come on out and play..!
Cause its St. Patrick’s Day..!

A song in A Capella that I made up as I went along. Inspired by the power of mother nature!
Oh listen to old man Winter blow
We've had with all of old man Winter's snow and as March marches in soon the Spring will begin But for now hear the wind as it blows... old man Winter...So you hear the strong winds and you know soon they'll end
And the Spring will appear and the new new-born deer...And for now we'll just hear old man Winter... Winter blow...Just hear as he blows... Old man Winter's blowing
And although it's not snowing...
old man Winter blows...

Happy Anniversary my dear
This truly has been one fantastic year
And I wanted to just make this one thing clear...How much I love you and I always will
And I’m so happy
That I am still
So in love… With you
Through this whole year through
And we’ve more than a few
Many more left to do
Happy Anniversary to you…
Just wanted you to know…

"Fandalism"
I'm sure I'm not the first to write a song about this wonderful place but I hope you enjoy this...
By now we know the DJ on the radio has no control at all of what we hear...
The record biz executives its they who give the order this is all too clear...
The radio’s repeating keeps repeating keeps repeating everyday...
Tune in today and they will play exactly what they played you yesterday..!…
And that’s why I say...
Thanks goodness Phil decided on that day five years ago
That he’d create a place where great musicians all could go
A place where… it don’t matter who you are…
A place where anyone can be a star..!
Here on Fandalism… what a place… where poets and musicians all create...
Fandalism it’s the perfect place to be custom built by folks like you and me
On Fandalism..!
So now you know… the place to go… when radio has truly turned into a bore
Come listen in and you’ll begin to realize that Fandalism... offers so much more
And if you’re making music you must use it so your songs will all be heard
Don’t keep your stuff up on a shelf all to yourself folks that would be absurd
Come let it be heard
On Fandalism what a site... you check it out and you’ll see I’m right
Fandalism come and check it out you’ll see
Custom built by folks like you and me… here on Fandalism
Where it truly is… a place where we… adults can act like kids...
Fandalism… come join in and help it grow
Go tell everyone you know... bout Fandalism
So I say thanks to Fandalism now
Good gosh without it where would I be now?
Probably searching for some place to play my songs
But here on Fandalism… I’ve found a place where I belong..!
Fandalism with my friends a place where hearing brand new music never ends
Fandalism it’s where true musicians jam… here in Fandiland!
In Fandaland… here in Fandiland… here in Fandiland… ah it’s grand in Fandiland..!

"The City", copyright 2017 by Tyler Selph
Here's a live version of a song I first posted a few years ago...
Stuck again in city traffic... another Friday afternoon...
Everyone's in such a hurry...
Cause the weekend will be over soon...
I'm looking in my rear view mirror
That guy he's riding way too close...
I think if he gets any nearer... I'll hit the brakes and he'll be toast... hit the breaks and he'll be toast..!
I think that's what he needs the most...!
But why is he in such a hurry and why is everybody else... We live our lives in such a flurry... why do we always push ourselves?
I guess it's living in the city I guess it's just the city way...
I think I'm gonna leave this city I think I'm gonna get away... get out of the city..!
I think I'm gonna leave today... yeah... yeah
Cause when you leave the city... everything slows down...
Yeah when you leave the city... you can get unwound...
But if you never leave the city... then you'll never know...
What it's like to leave the city... and let your problems go.... away....!
Push and shove and stand in lines...
Almost everywhere you go...
You feel you're wasting so much time
Where did another day just go?
I think of living in the country... I think of living on a farm... no need to lock my doors and windows... No need to have a car alarm... No I'd be feeling safe from harm...
No need for a car alarm... no no...
But even if I left the city... and traveled somewhere far away... I know that I'd be back to see my city... Yeah I know I'd be back someday... because I'd miss the city... Yeah even if I went away I know that I'd be back one day... Oh yeah I'd miss the city..
And I know that I'd be back one day...
Even if I left the city... I know that I'd be back one day..! Ahhh I'd miss the city..!

"World's Greatest Lover" copyright 2017 by Tyler Selph This is a remake of one of my very first postings which was more or less a disaster...
"World's Greatest Lover"
I hear her car a pullin in again it's late at night
But I know where my baby's been cause me and here we're tight
We love each other way to much to tell each other lies
And that's why she lets me know it when she's seeing other guys
And me you bet I'm lucky to have met someone so honest
I'm the only guy she'll ever really love... that's what she promised
She got me a coffee mug that reads worlds' greatest lover...
And I'm starting to believe it's true cause she's tried so many others..!
I'm the World's Greatest Lover.. heck it's... known all over town
I'm the World's Greatest Lover...uh huh... at least the best my baby's found..!
You've heard about menage a trois... Who woops em both that would be moi
Don't mean to brag but c'est la vie... I know it's a drag but you can't beat me...!
There'll be no doubt about it when my babe comes through the door
I'll ask if she got lucky... she'll tell me yeah she scored..!
She'll hold me close and whisper that I'm still the very best
And boy will I be happy knowing... I still pass the test...
I'm the World's Greatest Lover heck it's known all over town
I'm the World's Greatest Lover... mmm least the best my baby's found.
I'm the World's Greatest Lover... The World's Greatest Lover...
I'm like no other... the World's Greatest Lover... That's me..!

Here's a live version of a song I released earlier. Every once in a while you have to get serious...... read more "Johnny" copyright 2107Johnny's feeling good tonight he buys another round. The waitress serves em up they do a toast then shoot them down. It's just another Friday night like all those nights before. And Johnny and his friends will soon be staggering out the door...Hey Johnny... are you sure that you're okay to drive? Cause I think this time... you may have had too much. But Johnny says that he hasn't drank that much at all... and when he gets home says he' going to call...But Johnny said he hadn't drank that much at all and when he got home... he meant to call. But Johnny doesn't realize just how much he's had... And his trip home is gonna turn out bad...Well the ambulance is racing down the street. And there lies Johnny's body on the ground beneath our feet.At 90 miles an hour on the interstate Southbound. He flipped his car and he flew a hundred feet before he hit the ground. And all of Johnny's friends are there And in disbelief they stand and stare...And all that anyone can say... Is why did Johnny have to die that way...?But Johnny said that he hadn't drank that much at all... And when he got home he meant to call... But if Johnny were alive today I wonder what he'd have to say..? Johnny... miss you Johnny... Johnny...Lord knows we miss you Johnny? Copyright 2017 by Tyler Selph

"Drive to You", by Tyler Selph
Recorded a while back while still in Orlando.
Sometimes I wake up in the middle of the night
And I'm thinkin of squeezin and holdin you tight
The telephone is so... close but you are so far away.
And if I called what would I say?
I'm sure by now you've probably forgotten my name.
But that doesn't really bother me I couldn't hold you to blame.
Cause it was just one night and it was such a long time ago...
And I don't think you know how bad I wanna...
Drive to you... babe I wanna see you again...
Drive to you... Babe I wanna take your hand...
Drive to you... will this feeling ever end... t
To drive to you.. oh babe I wanna drive to you...
I need to get back... to reality
Cause I'll never see you again... Your just my fantasy...
But I can keep dreamin.. and wishing that my dreams could all come true...
But don't think that I'll ever lose the urge to... Drive to you.... babe I wanna see you again...
Drive to you... Babe I wanna take your hand...
Drive to you... I wanna take your hand... Drive to you...
Babe I wanna drive to you... babe I wanna drive to you...
Babe I wanna drive to you... Oh girl I wanna drive to you...! Thanks again to my band members Bo Barbot (lead), Andy Shaw (bass), and Bobbi Gruhler (drums).

"A Handful of Nuts", Some may consider these lyrics suggestive.
I prefer to call it a public health announcement of sorts.
Copyright 2017 Tyler Selph
Well I was there the day they laid you in that hospital bed
Remember just exactly what the good doctor said
He said your test results had really baffled ‘em all
And there seemed to be no vitamin E in your body at all
And they were all appalled…
And what the doc suggested sounded strange I won’t lie
And though I’m rather skeptical I’ll give it a try
See the doctor told us not to worry we were in luck
Told you and me that what you really needed is a handful of nuts
A day and everything will be okay
Just a handful of nuts… he said… Would help you find your way out of that hospital bed…
Just a handful of nuts…
A handful of nuts… a day
He said a handful of nuts keeps the doctor away
And you should have a handful of nuts every day
It’s something that I must admit I don’t understand?
But I’ve got some nuts for you… so hold out your hand
And I’ll fill it up… with a handful of nuts… Oh I’ll tell you what
See the nuts I’ve got for you they will make a great snack
Let’s put em somewhere safe so they do not get wacked
It’s a mystery how holding nuts can make you feel good?
But I think you better hold em like the doc said you should...
Said a hand full of nuts it’s the one thing you need
A handful of nuts to get your vitamin E. A hand full of nuts… let’s let the treatment begin
A handful of nuts I’m all in
Ohhhh with a handful of nuts…
I’ll tell you what…I’ll do a handful of nuts… I hope the ones I have will do for you
Handful of nuts for sure… anything for a cure…

"You Write the Lines" copyright 2017 by Tyler Selph. Another old video I found when we were performing in the 90's for students at Full Sale in Orlando Florida. Lyrics below...
You write the lines and I'll play the part
Even though you know sometimes it's breaking my heart
I've studied the script and I know every verse
But it seems like my part in this play...
is getting worse
You write the music and I'll sing the song
You won' even help out by singing along
And I'm singing he part that you've written for me
Buy why does it sound like it's so... out of key..! It sounds so out of key..!
You know what I mean?
I'll be the puppet and you pull the strings You know you can make do all sorts of things
You can make me spring up and make me fall down
Lord know you can make me behave..
like a clown..! I feel just like a clown..!
You're the potter and I am the clay
You know that with me you can have it your way.
So you do as you wish as I spin on the wheel.
And I don't think you care how it's making me feel..!
Don't think you care how it makes me feel..!
You write the words and I'll play the part
Even though you know sometimes it's breaking my heart
I've studied the script and I know every verse
But why does it sound like it's always...
getting worse...

Played That Way"
Ever since I was a little boy I've been in love with Rock-&-Roll.
Used to shake the walls in my room till my parents they would lose control!
I'd turn it down little till they went out the door then I'd turn it up loader than I had it before..!
Last week we through a party man I tell you we sure drew a crowd.
Had those guitars cranking cause we love to hear it really loud..!
I can hear my neighbors beating on the door
Telling me to turn it down like they've told before I turn it down a little till they go away
But it's louder when they leave cause it's gotta be played that way...
Cause it's Rock & Roll
It's gotta be played that way...
Cause it's Rock & Roll
Yes it's Rock..!
Hanging out on the beach with my friends
were all feeling good
Somebody yells turn it up so I put my speakers on the hood
Suddenly out of nowhere appears a cop
Telling me that all that racket has just got to stop
I turn it down a little till he goes away
But it's louder when he leaves cause it's got to be played that way cause it's Rock & Roll... Yeah it's gotta be played... cause it's Rock & Roll..! It's Rock & Roll..!

A song I wrote and performed live with my good friend Bo Barbot in Orlando back in the early 1990's.
Titled "Love Me Too"
Why is it you are my best friend
Why is it we ever met
Why is it all of this most end
How will I ever forget
I had been searching for so long
Thought I had found what I searched for
Then suddenly everythings gone wrong
And you've turned to walk out the door
I know you can make it through life without me
But is that the way that you want it to be
Think of the things we've both been through
People we've loved in the past
Why couldn't we have been different
Why couldn't we make it last
I think as we part from each other
Will I ever see you again
Even though you're no longer my lover
I hope that we'll always be friends
And I know you'll make it through life without me
But is that the way that you want it to be
You say that we're over think we're through
But I can't let you go without saying to you
I love you... yes I do... I love you.. you know that's true... I love you... yes I do... and I hope you'll always love me too..!
And I know you'll make it through life without me
But is that the way that you want it to be
I love you... yes I do... I'll always love you...
You know that's true... I love you... yes I do.
And I hope you'll always love me too...

Chicago
My baby and me we decided that we needed off for a while
Wanted to find a fun city to check out that would make us both smile We hopped on the highway and where we’d end up didn’t know
But before the day’s end we were both heading into Chicago…
Pulling into Chicago
Well the first thing we found as we traveled around were their tolls
One after the next and we thought what the heck this is out of control
And before we’d arrived we’d spent many a five dollar bill
And we thought to ourselves if we see one more toll we’ll grow ill…
On our way to Chicago… Chicago
And we finally arrived at our Palmer Hotel where we stayed
I can promise you people they didn’t give those dang rooms away
And there’s nowhere to park so you bet you get charged for valet
It’s nothing to laugh at its seventy-five for each day..!
Oh you’ll pay in Chicago… go and stay in Chicago…
You’ll understand what I say bout Chicago…
Folks it ain't no joke you’re gonna go broke
If you stay just one night you will see what’s not right in Chicago…
Where it’s sad but it’s true that the toll booths will mess with your mind
Nothing is worse than when you’re getting nickeled and dimed
Yeah you go out to eat and you pay just to just to park folks its rough
As if coming to dine in their restaurant just isn’t enough…
Folks its rough if you’re there in Chicago
They call it the windy city… ah… me… I prefer to call it spendy
So we stayed in Chicago but couldn’t stay long
Before we both knew it our money was gone
We just stayed there one day and one night that’s no joke
And when we finally left we we’re totally broke…
From our stay in Chicago… You go you’ll pay in Chicago
I know it’s not a nice thing to say but Chicago… mmm… Chicago…

Santa’s Little Helper
By now you’ve heard bout Santa and his reindeer and his tiny elves too…
They’re there to help out Santa and that’s exactly what they’re there to do
But Santa’s got a little secret helper that he keeps all to himself
Yeah this little helper does way more for Santa than his little elves...
She’s Santa’s little helper… and when he’s tired and cold
She’s Santa’s little helper… and she’s always there to hold
When Santa needs some help then he can count on all his elves to be around
But when Santa’s feeling lonely… he needs only his little helper to come round
That’s Santa’s little helper… on a cold and snowy night
Santa’s little helper… there to treat ol Santa right
Cause when Santa’s feeling cold then he can hold his little helper tight
Yeah she’s Santa’s little helper she makes sure he stays all warm at night
When Santa needs a lift she’ll come and sit on Santa’s lap
She’s Santa’s little helper and she’s his gift to unwrap…
She’s Santa’s little helper… She’s Santa’s little helper…
Most people think that Santa’s all alone on Christmas Eve but they’re all wrong
See Santa’s little helper’s in his sleigh to keep him warm all night long
And when it gets real cold there on the North Pole late late at night
Well it’s Santa’s little helper who is keeping Santa feeling alright
She’s Santa’s little helper… all through the night
Santa’s little helper… and she’s really quite a sight
And when Santa wants a treat as sweet as candy
Aww… Little Santa’s little helper comes in handy
Ahhh Santa wants to stay so warm at night
It’s Santa’s little helper that he’s holding oh so tight…
Long into the night…
She’s Santa’s little helper… She’s Santa’s little helper…
She’s Santa’s little helper… Santa’s little helper…
Santa’s little helper… Santa’s little helper…

Together
It was a long time ago in a place far away
Where they all lived in peace or that’s what they all say
And the peace that was there was like no other where
And the people were happy that they were all there
There was never a worry and never a care
There was peace in the land and everyone shared
They all shared the same dream and they all got along
And together they’d sing they’d all sing the same song
They would sing we’re all one we are one and the same
Though we’re all different colors and we have different names
Sing no-one is better than anyone else
And we’ll all stick together and we’ll all help ourselves
And together they managed to achieve so much more
Than they ever got done when divided before
They had strength to move mountains and yes everyone
Was surprised when they realized what they had all done
But none would be done and those goals never reached
If everyone hadn’t decided to meet
To all join together and work it all out
And that's why all their dreams were reality now
A dream of existing together in peace
A dream of realizing the fighting could cease
A dream that came true for the very first time
When they gave up their differences opened their minds
The dream that had seemed just a dream until they
All decided to put all their difference away
And discovered that everyone all were the same
Even if different colored and with different names...

Heroin
People keep on buyin it and tryin it and dyin it seems
People keep on shootin it and bootin it and ruining their dreams
People keep on snortin it and hoardin it and losing their lives
And that heroin thrives on those few who survive… a life on heroin
Talkin bout heroin…
But let’s say that you’ve tried it can’t deny that’s the best thing you’ve done
Starts out as so euphoric can’t ignore it’s oh so much fun
Ahh… but what’s so fun about it when without it you can’t seem to carry on
But this is what you risk if you insist on taking this demon on…
And I’m talkin bout heroin… Oh don’t you dare… go try… heroin..
Just one little dose and become comatose and so high…
But it just takes one hit of bad shit and my friend you could die
And those needles you are sharin without caring… no you don’t care at all
Lose your mind if you can’t find it you will fail to read the writing on the wall when you’re hooked on heroin… and you’re cookin heroin…
And dad’s and moms are all crying cause they’re children are all dyin and the dealers they’re just lying to keep their children buyin… more
Just one little dose become comatose oh so high…
But it just takes one hit of bad shit and my friend you will die
And your mamma she’ll cry… cause you bought into the lie…
When you had to go and try and look what happened when you died…from tryin… heroin…

When You're Down On Your Knees
There are times when you’re hurting and feeling such pain
And you feel like deserting giving up on the game
When you’re pushed to the limit completely stressed out
And lost in anxiety and your head full of doubt
When you’ve reached the limit and you can’t take anymore
And you’re starting to wonder what it is you’re here for?
When you’re battered and beaten down on your knees
Folks as hard as it seems… that’s where you can find peace
From down on your knees… leave all your troubles behind
From down on your knees… you can find peace of mind
From down on your knees… you’ll gain strength as you pray
From down on your knees… God will show you the way
Cause when you’re on your knees see there’s nowhere to fall
Give over your problems just surrender them all
Pray that Lord’s spirit will help you find strength
And grow stronger the longer that you’re… down on your knees
Down on your knees… When your down on your knees…
So if you’re feeling lost and completely confused
Tried everything else but still seem to lose
There’s a place you can find a solution indeed
And that’s there on the ground… when you’re down on your knees
Down on your knees… that’s where you can find peace
When you’re down on your knees…

That Old Guitar
There was an old wood guitar and it hung in a bar
And it hung there for years while the patrons drank beers
No one knew where it came from or where it was found
But it hung there for years and did not make a sound… at all... as it hung on the wall…
No it never got noticed and never got played
Didn’t have all its strings and the one’s left were frayed
It did nothing but hang there for a decade or more
Till that night that old man came and walked through the door
And he asked our bartender what is that hanging there
Said just a beat up guitar we’ve had there for years
And he stood for a while then politely implored
Can you take the thing down so I can see it some more…
That old... guitar…
Hanging there in our bar
So we took the guitar and we brought it down
And the old man he left then came back around.
And when he returned he just just had two things
An old tuning fork and a new set of strings
And he took off the old ones and he strung up the new
Then he tapped on his fork and he got her in tune
Then he pulled out his pick and he started to play
And the next thing you know
We were all blown away as he played... that old guitar...
Ohhhh he played and played and played that old guitar...
Then the old man quit playing with a tear in his eye
And he Looked to us all and said it's no lie
Said he’d lost this guitar a long long time ago
How it got to this bar said he just didn’t know
Then he went back to playing till we closed the place down
And we were all overjoyed his guitar had been found
And when he finally quit playing that guitar for us all
Well he took that guitar…
And hung it back on the wall
That old guitar... mmmm back on the wall
Ohhh...Where it belonged
That old guitar...
Hanging there in our bar...

Here's one of my songs I had re-done by a female vocalist. Her name is Kim Everett.
Love em and Leave em
Well it would've been nice if you told me goodbye
And I've called and I've called but I get no reply
And I can't figure out why you don't wanna talk
Gosh the least you can do... is say hey take a walk..!
And the touch of your hand well I miss it so much
And I can't understand why we can't keep in touch
But I guess I should've known from the very first day...
That you love em and leave em..
And you like it that way...
Said you love em and leave em...
And you like it that way...
So I figure if you will not answer the phone
Well you're probably wishing I'd leave you alone
So I'm sending this letter and I'm setting you free
And I'm saying I miss you... and I wish you missed me.
And I'd ask you to call if I thought that you would
But I'm starting to feel like you've left me for good
But I guess I should've known from the very first day
That you love em and leave em...
And you like it that way...
Yeah you love em and leave em...
And you like it that way..!
Said you like that way... yeah you love it that way...
Said you like it that way... gotta have it that way..!

What About You?We were more... read more than just two loversWe became the best of friendsWe were crazy bout each otherTill it all came to an endWhen you told me you were leavingThough I begged for you to stayCause you know how much I love youAnd that I'll always feel this wayBut what about you How will you feel tomorrowWill you feel any pain or sorrow at allOr will you just go on livin... givin yourself to somebody new What about you will you still think about meWill you think of those times when we were in loveOr will you just find another to give your love to? Boy, what about you... what about you... oh yeahhh...What about you?So now I lie alone and I wonderOh... I wonder where it all went wrong?I guess the spell you had me under Must've been too darn strongAnd I'll miss you as my loverAnd the way things used to beAnd I'd love to find anotherBut boy you know that isn't me...But what about you?How will you feel tomorrow? Will you feel any pain or sorrow at all?Or will you just go on livingGiving yourself to somebody newWhat about you Will you still think about me Will you think of those times when we were in loveOr will you just find another to give your love to... Voting For The Candidate I Hate The Least
Election time is here again a new president Have you heard about the money that these candidates spent?
One hundred million dollars folks that ain’t chicken feed
Enough to feed a bunch of starving folks on the street
That Donald Trump he’s famous yeah he’s been on TV
Somehow I just can’t find this guy relating to me
Hoping that his groping doesn’t mess up his plan
The other needs assistance just to climb in a van
They’re saying dehydration the heat made her faint
Just a couple hours later she says she’s feeling great!
What’s really going on with her is she fit to serve?
Come on and tell us the truth that’s what we deserve..!
See both of them are liars both of them cheat
I’m scared if either one becomes commander and chief
No I don’t care too much for Donald can’t stand Hillary
I’m voting for the candidate… that I hate the least I’m voting for the one… that I hate the least
Yeah I’m voting for the candidate that I hate least
Watched another damned debate a catastrophe
Which one of is better is a true mystery
So I’m voting for the candidate that I hate the least I hate the least
You know it really doesn’t matter how we citizens vote
It’s the delegates who make up who’s in office here folks
Get to the ballot box and pick who you choose
Either way you go you’re still gonna lose And that Hillary you know see can’t be trusted
Wiped those servers clean before she knew she’d get busted
FBI put’s you or I behind bars for life
Close their eyes to Hillary cause she’s Billy’s wife
And Donald Trump you know he is corrupt If he wins this next election we might all go bankrupt
He’s seems like a loose cannon a man on the loose
Could start world war three and doesn’t need no excuse..!
So I’m votin’ for the candidate I hate the least
They smile for the cameras lie through their teeth
Neither one could give a damn about you or me
So I’m voting for the candidate… I hate the least
I’m voting for one I hate the least
One's the Devil one's the beast
I'm voting for the one I hate the least
Voting for the candidate that I hate the least
Voting for the candidate

Is the Earth Really Flat?
Folks you may not have heard it cause it’s not in the news
And it may seem absurd but it’s there on YouTube
Go search for flat earth and you’ll see what I mean
What they’re talking about it could change everything
See hundreds of thousands heck millions in fact
Have all come to believe that the earth’s somehow flat
I know what you’re thinking are these people just fools
Did they not have a globe on their desk while at school? Just fools…
But I’m telling you now and I know for a fact
That the earth we live on could never be flat
So ignore all the proof you may see on YouTube
Cause the earth isn’t flat my friends… don’t get confused
No the earth isn’t flat it’s as round as can be
And they’ll all call you crazy if you disagree
If the earth’s really flat then I’d have to ask you
If the earth isn’t round then what else isn’t true?
They’ve told me and you
But folks I forewarn you if you check this out
And you enter the Rabbit hole there’s no way out
Search for the truth you’ve got to be bold
Cause it’s hard to deny what you’ve always been told
And what if it’s true even though it sounds strange
Does it really make a difference and what does it change?
But if the earth’s not a globe then what else could it be?
Go ahead… check it out… if you love mystery
Like me…
There I’ve planted the seed will it grow or it die?
Guess it’s all up to you to tell the truth from the lies
You can search for yourself and you can gather all the facts
Then believe the earth’s round…or concede… that it’s flat
But I don’t know about that?
Could the earth’s really be flat?
I don’t know about that?

Peanuts, popcorn, hot dogs and beer
These are the four words we’ve been dying to hear
Springtime is coming and all winter we’ve waited
Now it’s time for some fun so come on open those gates!
We’ve got our tickets and our gloves in our hands
Can’t wait to settle in to our great seats in the stands
We know for certain we’re all gonna have fun
We might get lucky and we’ll catch a home run..!
It’s opening day…
Yeah it’s opening day..!
It’s time to get excited
Stand up and shout it out
That’s what I’m talking bout
Hip Hip Hooray!
It’s opening day..!
Yeah it’s opening day..!
Said Hip Hip Hooray
It’s opening day..!
We stand and scream at that ol ump if he blows the call
I can’t believe it did he really call that a ball?
But we’re not worried cause you know what we’ll do
The perfect pitch a grounder’s hit and then we'll turn two
Well…we’ll load the bases and we’ll hit a grand slam
You can bet I’m gonna catch it if it’s hit where I am
We go to extra innings that’s okay too
As long as our teams winning when the game is all through..!
Yeah it’s opening day! Yeah it’s opening day!
You hear what I say? It's finally opening day!
You've gotta get excited
Come on you’re all invited
It’s time to stand united what do you say?
It's opening day!
It’s finally opening day..!
And everything is okay.
I said Hip Hip Hooray
Do you hear what I say…?
It's opening day..!
Hip hip Hooray
It's opening day..!

Got another kid coming
fifth one now in six years
and I wish I could tell you
how happy I am
But there’s something peculiar I can’t understand
Yeah I must confess it’s a little disturbing how could I have missed what I’ve been observing
I look at our kids and it’s become clear to see not a single dang one of them… looks like me… at all..!
No not one of my children look like me at all yeah I’ll walk right by them when they’re there in the mall
It’s weird they can be there right in front of my eyes and look like total strangers I just can’t recognize?
And my friends they’ve all cared
And show me and share
I should take time and pay better attention
They tell me my wife might be fooling around that’s why all my kids look like guys here in town...
Now I’m watching my son as he’s playing ball he does look a bit like our mailman named Paul
I look in the eyes of the one born last summer who much to my surprise… looks like Peter the plumber
Oh no… and that’s a real bummer… Peter the plumber
And now I’m looking around and here’s what I’ve found
Yeah my kids do look like other guys here in town
So I’m starting to wonder when I’m not home if my wife isn’t there by herself all alone?
But when my babies born today please don’t say oh my he sure looks like Richard our pizza guy
I’ll be proud and I’ll shout
if I finally see that when that baby pops out…
It looks something like me!
Looks a little like me… Oh that’ll sure… be…. sweet! If it looks something like me… But we’ll have to wait and see…
But we’re hoping it will be…
Just a little like me… a little like me… But we’ll just wait and see…

So you’ve had it with your boyfriend and you can’t stand anymore
You wanna write your resignation your frustration is ignored
But you have your reservations your hesitation and your doubt
You’re not sure if you can take it or you can make it moving out
But you gotta have a dream… and you’ve gotta believe in it
Yeah you’ve gotta have a dream… and you’ve gotta believe in it…
Yeah you know he treats you badly and yet sadly you stay
But I think you need to leave him don’t believe him get away
Cause he doesn’t really love you no he loves you to love him
And I’m telling you because I consider you my friend
And you gotta have a dream… and you’ve gotta believe in it
Mmm yeah you’ve gotta have a dream… and you’ve gotta believe in it…
Don’t you ever let him fool you don’t let him rule you anymore
Think it’s time you pack your suitcase find a new place out the door
Cause he’s never gonna stop it till he knocks you to the floor
No there’s no more sense in talking you need to walk straight out the door
Yeah you gotta have a dream and you gotta believe in it
Yeah you’ve gotta have a dream and you’ve gotta believe in it
Yeah you gotta have a dream yeah you gotta believe in it
Yeah you’ve gotta have a dream… and you gotta believe in it
Yeah you gotta have a dream…

They started in on us very young with their cigarette bubble gum
Didn’t care about anyone but themselves.
When some of us went to school well we liked breaking all the rules
And we all thought it was really cool… to start smoking…. had to start smoking…
We’d get a break and we’d run and hide light em up and we’d all get high
But now we all wish that we’d never tried… to start smoking… why’d we ever start smoking?
Cause now we smoke every single day and yeah we give all that money away
And we all wish we could find a way… to quit smoking… yeah we need to quit smoking…
New Years Eve millions make a vow to give up smoking cigarettes somehow
But two weeks later what’s in the mail cigarette manufacturers hope you’ll fail
Yeah they only want you to stay their slaves don’t care if you go to an early grave…
That just hope you’ll never find a way… to quit smoking… don’t want you to quit smoking…
So you should take what you’ve left and burn em all in a fire
While you pray that you no longer have the desire
You’ll be saving your life if you know what I mean
Turn your back to this demon they call nicotine…
And quit smoking… oh yeah you gotta quit smoking…
And you know I’m not joking… You just gotta quit smoking…
Mmm… you gotta quit smoking…
And you know I’m not joking…
Said you’ve gotta quit smoking…
And you know I’m not joking...
So come on and quit smoking…
Come on and quit smoking…
Yeah you gotta quit smoking…

I could be rich and famous
Might be a movie star
Ride around in big black limo
Or maybe drive a fancy car
I could have every single thing Everything this world could give
But I know that that if I don’t have you Then I ain’t got nothin..!
No I ain't got nothin..!
I could earn a diploma
And I could get some degree
I could make a lotta money
And I could buy anything
I could make a million dollars
Or become a billionaire
But I know that if I don’t have you Then I ain’t got nothin…!
No I ain't got nothin..!
I could travel all around the world From sea to shining sea
But it wouldn’t be no fun at all if you weren’t here with me
I could have a castle made of gold And servants at my feet
But I wouldn’t be as happy
As I am when you’re with me
I could climb the corporate ladder
Go all the way to the top
Be a doctor a lawyer
Or get rich trading stock
But it’s all superficial
And it doesn’t mean a thing
Cause I know that if I don’t have you…
Then I ain’t got nothin..!
No I ain’t got nothin..!
No I ain't got nothin..!
Said I ain't got nothin..!
