Richard Trudeau - Guitar - "Ritual Dance" (Michael Hedges) - Richard TrudeauMichael Hedges was a genius in his way of composing a guitar piece. He just reinvented the art and became a reference over time. When we look today the way most "Fingerstyle" guitarists play their music, we must immediately think of Michael Hedges as a major influence. This musician has been for me a salvation in my life...The first two albums by Hedges are pearls. From the third, it becomes less interesting because he seems to like singing far more than performing on his instrument. It will be so until his death in 1997. There are still some very interesting pieces scattered here and there though."Ritual Dance" is not Michael Hedges greatest achievement for sure but its certainly one of his most volatile and really fun piece to play. Thanks for watching and listening.RichardP.-S. From Behind That Locked Door_RT's Vault of Eras Band, 18 September 2019. ------------------- This video can be viewed in full HD mode. Play loud, it sounds better that way! ------------------- This song is one of my favorites by ex-Beatle George. It’s featured on his first solo album “All Things Must Pass” which was a huge success in the fall of 1970. It was decided in 2017 that I would produce a "double album" of original and cover material featuring my friend singer Joyce Walsh and myself. We recorded tons of songs for this baby, some are in a pretty advanced stage. Working with Joyce in the studio is like taking a walk in the park, breathing fresh air on a cool sunny day. She’s a real pro, I don't have to tell her what I need twice… She does it mostly on the first take... The album will not be released before another year or so because of the huge amount of work still ahead of me... Although I’m committed to this project, I have quite a lot of other pending projects that I’ve accumulated in the last 2 or 3 years to which I have to pay attention. This song/video is just a small portrait of what I’m into at the moment. I surrounded myself with some of the best musicians I ever encountered and they’re from around the world. That’s the magic/wonders of the Internet these days. I want to thank my loyal bandmates - Peter Goindi, Fred White, Bill Watkins and Joyce Walsh for the fantastic work they bring to these projects all the time. Also, my very special thanks to a sensational musician I’ve met about two years ago, Mr. Sez Adamson, who kindly accepted my invitation to put his Pedal Steel Guitar magic into this song. Finally, I want to thank you all for taking the time to watch and listen to this one. There are many more songs on the way and I may be tempted in presenting some of them every once in a while, but until next time, I hope you will enjoy this one as much as we enjoyed playing it. Cheers, Richard

Thanks for watching and listening and If by any chance you like this enough to share the link, I would appreciate it a lot. Peace, Love and Happiness to all... Richard

Oh Yeah!_Richard Trudeau (1998) 25 June 2019 --------------- Play loud, it sounds better that way! --------------- It was suggested to me that I present more of my original material. Something I didn’t do much these last couple of years. I love making covers of course, but there was a time, way before Facebook and/or Fandalism, that I was working exclusively on my own stuff. I have tons of material that never was presented or listened to. Until then I always have been a loner in my studio with no audience at all… When YouTube arrived, I started to present my original material on that media, but with very few responses overall. Then came Facebook and Fandalism. Those changed the perspective for me as a musician. Finally, I could rely on getting some feedback on my music which was pretty new and cool at the moment. After a while, I started to meet some great people who incidentally, we’re fans of the type of music I was into and so on… We started to make covers together… As I was introduced to other great musicians on the way, I developed a fantastic relationship with these guys over the years. I can say without any restrains that it’s like a family to me. An amazing family of musicians for which I have the most respect. This short instrumental was recorded using very basic equipment in February 1998. It was composed out of the blue as some kind of an experiment working with some of the new toys I’d bought. It was the opener for a compilation album (of some of my demos and unfinished tracks) I made in 1999. I was building myself a studio at that time and it felt good to be able to create a decent sound for a change. I spent about 5 years between 1987 and 1992, recording myself using a simple 4 track cassette deck at least to keep all the ideas that were bursting out of my head. I have it all on numerous cassettes in my archives. Thanks for listening. If you like this short piece, you may share the link with your contacts. Peace, love, happiness and good health to all. Convergences_ Richard Trudeau 6 Juin 2019 ------------ This original instrumental of mine was recorded in April 2005. It was to be featured later on my album “Corps Et Âme” from 2012. Recently I was evoking that my interest in creating my own music had vanished with time and that covering songs was what kept the spark going for me. My good friend Kent Taylor and I had a couple of discussions on the subject. He expressed to me his opinion on making your own creation vs making covers as it was pretty elaborated and accurate. After thinking a lot about what he said, I felt he was right and came to the conclusion that I just might get back to writing my own stuff like I used to. That’s why I want to dedicate this original piece to you Kent even though there’s no drums at all in it (lol)… with great respect for what you stand for and for your great artistry. I needed that talk man! As for you my Fando friends, I hope you will enjoy this instrumental piece as much as I enjoyed recording it at the time. Peace, Love and Happiness to all. Richard

True (Martin Taylor)_Richard Trudeau, 9 May 2019. This clip can be viewed in full HD mode ---------------- This piece of music is probably the best known by the great Martin Taylor. I wanted to record that one for quite some time and life being what it is… Time is always an issue. Now that I’m fully retired it’s far easier to plan a recording session than it ever was… so I intend to record more of these nice solo guitar pieces, both acoustic and electric I hardly ever had time to concentrate on. Special thanks to Joyce Walsh for lending me her Gretsch guitar. Thanks for your visit and if you like what you hear/see, please share the link. Richard

This is a repost! For some unexplained reason the file was corrupted a while after its original release. It would not play at all. So, here it is again. This video can be viewed in full HD mode. ------------------------------------------- Dreamwalk | Etude_Richard Trudeau, 17 January 2018. Reposted 3 May 2019. These two guitar pieces were recorded by Lee Ritenour three years apart. “Dreamwalk” is featured on his “RIT” album from 1981. As for “Etude”, it is featured on “The Captain’s Journey” album from 1978. By the early 1980’s Lee Ritenour was trying to get into commercial music more than jazz, which left fans like me wonder quite a bit. Then came the Brazilian period that seemed to last forever, right up until the early 1990’s. These albums were not as interesting to me than the ones he had recorded in the mid 70’s. Even so, I still regarded him as one of the best guitarists out there. In the early 1990’s Ritenour had return to his jazz roots by delivering some great albums throughout the next couple of decades. He his still to this day one of my favourite Jazz guitarists. I played “Dreamwalk” countless times in my early 20’s. In 2015, I thought it was time for me to record it formally. It’s not a complicated piece and it seemed like a perfect prelude to precede a more sophisticated piece like “Etude”. This last one was composed by Don Grusin, who was, like his older brother Dave, a collaborator of Ritenour in those days. I always loved that piece, even though it may sound a little like MUZAC to certain ears. I think it is a very clever composition in the way it was built. The structure is solid since it was based using very rich chords with a superb melody. At first, “Etude” was meant for a duet with my good friend Marc Tucciarone from Spain who did not know the piece, but liked it very much when I presented it to him. Life being what it is, Marc had to withdraw from the project for personal reasons. I decided to put the project to sleep until I’d figure out what to do with it. For quite some time, I worked on and off on the song. I was able to put the final touch on it two and a half years after it was tossed away! I had previously sent to Marc two video tutorials so he could study both the guitar parts. I thought these two videos were lost for eternity since I knew they were both on an external hard drive where I kept some of my backups. It had previously crashed and I lost everything that was on it. Lately, I took a chance in asking Marc if he still had those two videos. At first he told me they were lost and then to my big surprise, he sent me both clips… The exact ones I was looking for. These actual clips were used for this video. That’s the reason the camera is focused on the guitar and only parts of my face on those clips. Video clips were also made for “Dreamwalk” at about the same time as “Etude”, but then again, they were lost forever on that hard drive and I’m positive no one ever got any copy of these… I decided to put pictures of myself with my guitar instead of re-recording the clips for the video. Thanks for watching and listening my friends ! Peace, love and happiness to all of you ! Richard

Too Hip, Gotta Go (Stray Cats)_Richard Trudeau – 30 April 2019 ------------------- This clip can be viewed in full HD mode. Play loud, it sounds better that way. ------------------- Although I love playing sophisticated music, the more simple stuff is quite appealing to me too. Most of you here know how much I dig bands like King Crimson, Yes, Genesis, Gentle Giant, Jethro Tull, but I’m also a huge fan of all those guys who created Rock and Roll music… Elvis, Little Richard, Chuck Berry. The Stray Cats came along at the beginning of the ’80s. It was quite odd to listen to a band that was playing in a 50’s Rockabilly style. I loved some of their work, especially for one reason… Brian Setzer which is to me such a great guitar player. This actual song has always been a favorite of mine and I’m happy to be able to present it to you today. All my thanks to Joyce Walsh for lending me her Gretsch guitar. "Dear God" (XTC)_ RT's Vault Of Eras Band, 21 March 2019. This video can be viewed in full HD mode. Play loud, it sounds better that way. --------------- People who know me well will tell you that XTC as a band is my second Beatles. I love their music so much. To me, Andy Partridge is nothing less than a GENIUS… in the same category of all the Paul McCartney and John Lennon of the world. One of the best songwriters that ever lived. This particular song reflects with exactitude my own personal views on all religions and especially God. I don’t believe in anything related to these… Some people might get offended when confronted with such affirmations, but it’s only music and lyrics in the end. I wanted to cover this song for a long time and I need to thank my good friend Melvin Donovan for permitting his granddaughter to participate in this project. Thank you so very much to both of you Gabi and Melvin. A huge thank you also to my dear friends and fabulous musicians Fred, Tedd, and Peter for another very interesting project. Fred, your video was too good for the rest of us to be shown on the screen only playing our instruments. You did a fantastic job mate. You totally grabbed the essence of the song in your acting performance. Bravo! Finally, thanks to all of you nice people out there, who took the time to watch and listen! We all appreciate it very much. Best regards, Richard

"Close Call"_Richard Trudeau, 13 February 2019. Although I really enjoy playing complex music on the acoustic guitar, I also can be very pleased with the simple stuff as well. This guitar piece of mine would be in the second category for sure. Nothing complicated, just a simple melody using some basic finger picking. Music doesn’t have to be complex all the time, at least not for me. I truly can appreciate the most noisy Rockin’ tunes, but sometimes I need to tone things down a bit by creating and/or playing softer and more delicate music. That’s who I am ! King Crimson or Elvis, it doesn't make any difference to me because I'm able to appreciate both at the highest levels. I don’t want to elaborate much on the subject, but I had to deal with a very serious health problem that brought me a lot of mental and physical stress for a good part of 2018. That ordeal did turn my life upside down and it has changed me for the rest of my life. This guitar piece was composed around 2015-2016. Only recently have I finally had the opportunity to record it and give it the title that evokes these difficult times we went through my wife and I. I'm certainly not going to take anything for granted anymore... not that I ever did, but it was a "Close Call". Thanks for watching and listening ! Richard

Play loud, it sounds better that way. --------------------- I've been playing this Michael Hedges piece since around 1987. I was way overdue to record it. Michael was and still is my favourite acoustic guitar player. One of my biggest influences on the way I play and feel the music. The very first time I saw him live, I wanted to play like him. I learned a whole lot from listening to his music and watching him play live on stage at three occasions. His premature death at age 44 was a shock to me and for all the fans. His music lives on in my heart and soul. Thank you Michael. Thanks to you all for watching and listening ! Richard

"Flume" (Bon Iver)_J. Thibodeau, R. Trudeau, 23 January 2019. This video can be viewed in full HD... read more mode. ------- When Bon Iver (Justin Vernon) released his first album, I was stunned by the simplicity and the beauty of his words and music. I became a fan immediately. Jacques is one of my oldest friends. We met in 1982 and we've been pals ever since. He loves music a lot and he asked me a couple of times if I would find a song we could sing together. So after searching for a while, I came up with this song and Jacques agreed and said let's do it ! We then planned a recording session and as I always do when I work with others, I made a basic track for Jacques's guidance. All of the harmonies were in the can in just a couple of hours. After that, we recorded his video parts within an hour or so... It was a fun experience for both of us and I hope you will enjoy what we did together. Thanks for watching and listening my friends. This project was initiated on September the 19th 2016. I had posted on Facebook the original YES track like I often do with any song I admire… Fred was the one who proposed the challenge of covering this huge Progressive Rock Classic. Before Tedd, Peter and myself could give it a thought or two, he had already recorded some of the keyboard tracks. We all plunged in afterwards. The project was an on and off thing for the most part, but when it was time to work on it, it was always very serious business. It was decided very early in the process that both Tedd and I would take the production. He would treat the music while I would treat the vocals. It was an unbelievable experience for me to co-produce this one with Tedd whose stature is known by all. I think it all turned out pretty good in the end. As for the video, I didn’t want to take the production because of some serious health issues and the very unreliable software I’m used to work with… Freddy took that responsibility and I thank him so much for doing so. Unfortunately, Peter and Tedd were not able to provide Freddy with much drum and singing sequences… Oh Well ! It’s the music that really counts anyway ! So here it is, 2 and a half years later. We’re all very proud to present this project which was meant to be an incredible journey for the four of us. My most sincere thanks to my mates Peter, Fred and Tedd for their tight knitted professionalism. I find myself being a very lucky man to be rubbing shoulders with these amazing musicians. You guys are truly the bests. Thanks to all of you for daring listening to this 19 minute piece of joy. --Richard

"Wonderful Christmastime" (P. McCartney)_Kinetic Particle, 21 December 2018. ----------- This video can be viewed in full HD mode. Play loud, it sounds better that way. ----------- Here we are again, well into another Holiday Season. Ever since the mega release of what was called “The Christmas Project” in 2014, I’ve made it a tradition to present a favourite Christmas song of mine in December. You can say it’s in the same mindset as my friend Tedd VanWagner’s halloween song projects he delivers with a bunch of mates each year. Paul McCartney’s “Wonderful Christmastime” was my choice for this year. The one and only Christmas song he ever did. It was recorded in 1979, most probably during the sessions for the “Back To The Egg” album with Wings. It had some small success back then, but it has grown in popularity over the years. Again, McCartney came up with some very clever bits using very sweet little jazzy chords. I think it’s fair to say today that this song has become a classic in the light pop Christmas songs department. My friend and colleague Fred White have put his synthesizer magic all over and I sang all vocals and played the electric guitars. I wanted the song to sound different from the original, so I worked up this actual arrangement. On behalf of Fred and myself, we’d like to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Wonderful and Creative New Year! Good health to all! Cheers, Richard

"No Pasaran" (Joe Jackson)_Kinetic Particle – 27 August 2018 My good musician friend Fred White and myself will be presenting our work together under the name “Kinetic Particle” from now on. We started to make music together about three years ago. From then on, every time I needed keyboards, orchestral parts or a special type of drum sound… Freddy has always been available to put his magic into the music I proposed to him. We became very good friends during this period of time and since we already have quite a few projects in the works, I suggested to him that we should make our duo an official recording unit. So, we are “Kinetic Particle”! “Kinetic” for the movements/motions and “Particle” because we are playing other people’s music . This actual piece of music is engraved deep in my mind. It has been ever since I heard it for the first time in 1987. It is featured on Joe Jackson’s instrumental album “Will Power”. The title “No Pasaran” means “they shall not pass” - the phrase comes from the Spanish Civil War that occurred between 1936 and 1939 and was used by the Republican troops (the left-wing soldiers fighting against Franco and the Falangists) as a rallying cry in defense of Madrid. Thanks for watching and listening. If you like this, please share the link with your contacts. Cheers, Richard

Ragamuffin_(Michael Hedges) - Richard Trudeau This is kind of an old performance that I thought was lost for good on the Internet, but to my surprise, I found it on YouTube. It was initially posted here in April of 2012, but for some unknown reason the link suddenly stopped working. I had to remove the video from my page. I have the original video somewhere in my archives, but looking into these to find it would have been a sweat. So there you go a little more than 6 years ago. The description below is in French. Since it was one of the first performance I was putting on Fandalism, I was not aware that everything here works in English... I made the adjustments not long after that post.

Catching The Light (Antoine Dufour)_Richard Trudeau, 10 June 2018 ---------- Play loud, it sounds better that way ! ---------- Antoine Dufour is a brilliant fingerstyle guitarist from a Quebec town called L'Épiphanie. The musician has taken an important place over the years in the field of fingerstyle guitar music and is considered today as being one of the bests in his domain. This is my second Antoine Dufour cover, the first one was “These Moments” from a few years ago. Antoine has a very clever way to approach his music and artistry and he’s certainly not an easy musician to cover. The quality of a great musician. The video is not that great, because I’m still in the learning process of working with a green screen and I experiment a lot, but I think that the music is the most important thing, right? I have tons of other guitar pieces to record in a near and not so near future. Time is always a big issue when it comes to recording music. Thankfully, retirement is just around the corner for me and I hope I will be able to produce much more music since my "life sentence" at work will be over… I thank you kindly for watching and listening folks. Love Life's Offering_(Larry Coryell) - Richard Trudeau, 25 April 2018 This video can be viewed in a full HD mode. ------------------------- This song is another one of my obscure not very well known favourites. It was written by the late, great Larry Coryell and it’s featured on his “The Real Great Escape” album from 1973. I’ve been singing and playing this song since the early 80s when I bought the album. I thought it was such a beautiful song with one guitar and a double track lead vocal on top of it. Very simple, very effective… that’s all a good song really needs right ?! Initially, I proposed this song to my pal Rod Morgan because I felt his voice would be perfect for the song and I thought his tone was very similar to the original version. Life is what it is and Rod is such a busy hard working man, he simply could not find the time to record his voice on my guitar track. After a while, I decided to record the vocals so I could finish the song and carry on with other projects… My good friend Bill Watkins really did me a great favour by figuring out some of the words I just could not hear/understand with my French Canadian mind on the original recording. Since it’s not a well known song, I never was able to find the lyric on the Internet for my guidance. Bill came up with the missing lyrics in no time. Thanks Billy ! Thanks for watching and listening friends. As usual, if you like what you hear and see… thanks for sharing the link. Peace, love and happiness to all ! Richard

It’s another sing along song which was recorded especially to celebrate our dear friend Annemiek Beex’s visit in Montreal in late july 2016. Subsequent recording sessions have taken place since that day to record the lead vocal and all the overdubs. Three songs were recorded for the occasion. The first one we did has been released a while ago. Some of you might remember our version of John Lennon’s “Give Peace A Chance”. A second Gilles Valiquette song was also recorded… to be continued ! Please note that the lyrics translation (subtitles) is an approximation of what is being said in the song. A lot of words and expressions in the French language cannot be translated word for word. ------------------------ The chorus singers are : Annemiek Beex Joyce Walsh Geneviève Hovington Denis Walsh Nicole Tremblay France Lépine Mario Racette Isabelle Brousseau Richard Trudeau ------------------------- Thanks for watching and listening folks ! This video can be viewed in a full HD mode. Play loud it sounds better that way ! ---------------- The Naked Stalk | The Jealous Tunnel | About Face Michael Hedges was and still is my all time acoustic guitar hero. No one played like Michael when he was first introduced to the public in 1983. Take a look at all those tapping guitarists today... We owe a lot to this brilliant musician who left us way too early at age 43. It is a known fact that Michael could play some unbelievable and acrobatic things on his guitar, but he could also play one hell of a rhythm guitar as well. The last two pieces in this three part suite is a good example of how creative he could get even by playing rhythm on his guitar. This is another one of my tribute to him because I admire the man and his music so much... No one ever will be able to achieve what he did in his lifetime. He re-invented the way to play acoustic guitar and I will be forever grateful to him for bringing so much inspiration into my own music and the way I play guitar too. "Michael you were the best and you will never be replaced! Thanks for the inspiration and all the fabulous music you created !" Thanks for watching and listening folks ! Cheers, Richard

Play loud, it sounds better that way! --------------------- I introduced this Christmas song to my fellow band mates in September of 2017. I believe that none of the boys new the song which was released by The Three Wise Men (aka XTC) in 1983. It is featured in a compilation album called "Rag & Bone Buffet" which contains rare cuts and leftovers as it is described on the from cover. When I first heard the song in the early 90's, I immediately fell in love with it and it has become a favourite Christmas song of mine ever since. Andy Partridge has captured the essence of the Christmas spirit with that catchy melody and everything that wraps it ! He's a true genius in my mind. The boys and myself are really fond of this one and we hope you will be too. Thanks for watching and listening ! If you like the song/video, please share it ! Cheers, Richard

Love Me Tender (Elvis Presley)_Isabelle & Richard - 9 November 2017 This video can be viewed in full HD mode. ------------------- This particular arrangement of Elvis Presley’s classic caught my attention big time when I first heard it. I thought they’d taken a very clever approach to the song to make it shine even more than the original Elvis 1956 recording in my opinion. I never planned to cover it until our long time friends France and Mario decided to get married. Since both of them are huge Elvis fans, I thought it would be appropriate to record the song in a duet form with my wife Isabelle and give the song as a present to both of them for their symbolic union. Isabelle often helps me with backing vocals, but singing lead together is not a common thing ! It was only the second time in almost 30 years that we sang lead together in a song. It is important to point out that Isabelle has no musical background whatsoever… She worked hard and did her homework thoroughly… I think she did an amazing job on the recording and I’m so very proud of her ! Thanks for watching and listening ! Richard

Julia/Because_(The Beatles) - Tinted Reform SOTB, 23 September 2017 --------------------------------------------- This video can be watched in full HD mode. Play loud, it sounds better that way. --------------------------------------------- I had already recorded "Julia" on my own and wanted a second song to go along with it since our band "Tinted Reform SOTB" always post two songs at once. "Because" came up real quick. I had to convince the guys to sing on that one first before getting any further. I knew that is would be a real challenge for us all. As usual, I took the three vocal parts separately and recorded them and then send them to the boys. Melvin and Bill have really surpassed themselve in delivering absolutely impeccable vocal tracks to me. From then on, it was clear that we would get through the song with such amazing commitment. I ask my friend good ol' Freddy "The Wizard" White if would like to play the keyboards on it. As usual, he gave me superb tracks to work with. I think it's fair to say we pulled it off quite nicely. A huge thank you to you boys, again you worked superbly well to make that song work. Thanks for watching and listening my friends. Cheers ! Richard

Call It Democraty - Stripped Down Version_(Bruce Cockburn) - 21 Septembre 2017 ------------------------------------ Bruce Cockburn is by far my favourite Canadian singer/songwriter... What makes it more interesting to me is that Bruce is an accomplished guitarist. So you have it all at once, good songs, good lyrics and good playing. I previously posted and electric version of this actual song a while back. It is the same version, but without the drums, the bass and the electric guitars. Thanks for watching and listening. Cheers. "Memories Of Old Days" (Gentle Giant)_RT's Vault Of Eras Band - 4 September 2017 ----------------------------------- This video can be viewed in full HD mode. Play loud, it sounds better that way. ----------------------------------- This project was initiated in November 2015. For some reason, it took me nearly two years to get back at it and complete the production. I've accumulated a lot of music projects in the last few years and now the time as come for me to bring them to the finish line. People who know me well will tell you how much I love old Progressive Rock music. Gentle Giant are among my very favourite bands of the '70s. To me their music is still ahead of its time in terms of originality and virtuosity. The very talented Fred White and Bill Watkins have put their magic into this one and I want to thank them both for their commitment to the music and their friendship. Thanks for watching and listening folks. If like what you see/hear, feel free to share the link to your contacts. Thank you, Richard

In August of 2016, I wanted to create a special event to highlight our good friend Annemiek Beex's visit to Montreal, Quebec. I though that this John Lennon's hymn would be a perfect song to gather people willing to collaborate in making this song as another great collective effort. The recruiting was done very quickly by simply inviting all my closest Fandalism/Facebook friends to join the fun. I tagged everyone on my Facebook friends list and a large majority of those friends responded immediately. Some others never gave any response to the invitation. I worked on the song sporadically until the beginning of August 2017 where I gave the project my full attention to bring it to the finish line. So, here it is folks, more or less a year to the day it all started. Thanks for watching and listening ! Richard

Featuring: Kathy Songbird / Lead Vocal Juha Hintikka / Flute Fred White / Keyboards Tedd VanWagner / Bass Guitar Peter Goindi / Drums Richard Trudeau / Electric, 12 String and Classical Guitars ----------------------- This ambitious project was initiated in the late summer of 2016. One day, as I was posting the original song to my Facebook page, I mentioned that the only person I know who could sing that song if I was to produce a cover of it would be Kathy Songbird. From then on without having to invite her formally, she manifested her love of the song and her desire to do it. So, it was already settled, being an old Progressive Rock "freak" since my teen years, I always loved this song which is featured on Steve Hackett's first solo album from 1975. As usual, it took a little while before I could really find the time to produce the song and I must admit it was quite a task to put together. The audio production once it was in gear went really well. It was different for the video production though... I never ever had such difficulties to put a video together than this one. Computer crashes, software crashes... virus problems, lack of hard drive space... Just name it ! It really made me work on my patience which is quite huge when it comes to music, but on this one I was about to blow my top ! Fortunately, after weeks of hard work, I could manage to create a decent video for this baby. Once again, the band responded to my invitation with great energy, commitment and professionalism. Even though the video production shook my nervous system quite a bit, I must admit that I'm very proud of the end result. I want to thank all of the band members for their patience and understanding for all the delays that these unexpected problems caused. You guys are the bests ! As for you my Fandalism friends, thanks for watching and listening ! Richard ----------------------- Shadow Of The Hierophant (lyrics) - Veiling the nightshade bride stalks a flower revealed Nearing the hour make haste to their threshold concealed - Lost in thought in search of vision As the moon eclipsed the sun - Casting the same steps glimpsing his own fate to come Melt in the dream void from which he never can run - Lost in thought in search of vision As the moon eclipsed the sun - Tears fill the fountains breaking their promise to heal Rippling the waters mirror an ended ideal - Deep in thought but robbed of vision As the moon eclipsed the suu

Free As A Bird | Paperback Writer¬ (The Beatles) – Tinted Reform S.O.T.B, 25 April, 2017 -------------------------- This video can be viewed in full HD mode. Play loud, it sounds better that way. ---------------------------------------------- Free As A Bird had been laying around in a quite advanced state for a whole year before I finally found the time and energy I needed to produce it in full. I knew what kind of challenge was ahead of me and the members of the group when I proposed this song at first. Still, it took me some time to get to this one because of all the other projects that are in circulation all the time… It has become like a never ending cycle, but I like it so much ! As for Paperback Writer, it was initiated in the beginning of June 2016. I think that both songs turned out pretty well in the end. Everything went so smoothly once I started to produce the songs. There were so many tracks to look into. The vocal tracks alone took a lot of care and attention to put together so that they would blend perfectly together (different textures, different microphones, etc.). Everybody worked so very well on both songs. It is so darn unbelievable to me that we can manage to make such great music collaborations at a distance like that… It blows my mind literately ! Fun and pleasure, are the main words here since we have such a great time working on these songs/projects ! It’s simply FABULOUS ! Thanks for watching and listening my friends. Peace and love to you all ! Richard

Le Meglio Storie Con La Mia Chitarra_Patrick Collard & Richard Trudeau - 24 March 2017 ---------------------- We finally made it ! Even after knowing each other for the last 5 years or so, Patrick and myself never had the opportunity of working together until this project came along. As it were, Pat had far more important things to take care of when I first introduced him to this piece of music. The last couple of years were not the best of times for him and his family. It was very easy to understand that he was not in the mood to make music during that period... So, I told him he could take all the time he needed to get back on track. This being said, I think that Patrick is one of the most talented musicians I came across on Fandalism. I love his playing and I dig his soft voice so much. There’s no one I know who can play and sing a folk song as well as Patrick does. He's also a very gentle soul. Needless to say that I'm a huge fan of his! I was very happy and honoured when he accepted my invitation. Pat and I have already made plans for at least a couple more songs to put on our distinctive agenda. Can't wait to get going on these! This actual music piece is a light and charming little guitar instrumental. We hope you will enjoy it as much as we enjoyed playing it. Thanks for watching and listening ! Cheers ! Richard

Call It Democracy (Bruce Cockburn) – Richard Trudeau, 17 March 2017 Play loud it sounds better that way ! For those of you who might be interested, there’s a stripped down acoustic mix of the song you can listen to on my “RT’s Vault of Eras” Facebook page. https://soundcloud.com/richard-trudeau/call-it-democraty-stripped-down-mix-14-march-2017 ------------------------------------------------ "Call it Democracy" is perhaps the only song ever written about the International Monetary Fund, which Cockburn accuses of fostering "insupportable debt" in Third World countries. Typically not pulling any punches, Cockburn charges that the IMF doesn't "really give a flying fuck about the people in misery." Written in the mid 80’s this song is one of the many protest songs that Bruce is so darn good at writing. Being a huge fan of his, there’s a lot of songs he wrote I would love to cover in the future now that the ice was broken. The words, the music and the images, although taken from way back can still apply today as the whole world seems to go down in perdition. This is not a happy song, more of a wake up call than anything else… I believe ! Thanks for watching and listening ! Peace, love and happiness to all of you… Richard ----------------------------------------------- Padded with power here they come International loan sharks backed by the guns Of market hungry military profiteers Whose word is a swamp and whose brow is smeared With the blood of the poor Who rob life of its quality Who render rage a necessity By turning countries into labour camps Modern slavers in drag as champions of freedom Sinister cynical instrument Who makes the gun into a sacrament -- The only response to the deification Of tyranny by so-called "developed" nations' Idolatry of ideology North South East West Kill the best and buy the rest It's just spend a buck to make a buck You don't really give a flying fuck About the people in misery IMF dirty MF Takes away everything it can get Always making certain that there's one thing left Keep them on the hook with insupportable debt See the paid-off local bottom feeders Passing themselves off as leaders Kiss the ladies shake hands with the fellows Open for business like a cheap bordello And they call it democracy And they call it democracy And they call it democracy And they call it democracy See the loaded eyes of the children too Trying to make the best of it the way kids do One day you're going to rise from your habitual feast To find yourself staring down the throat of the beast They call the revolution IMF dirty MF Takes away everything it can get Always making certain that there's one thing left Keep them on the hook with insupportable debt And they call it democracy And they call it democracy And they call it democracy

“Mother Nature’s Son | I Should Have Known Better" (The Beatles) – Tinted Reform, 5 March 2017. Tinted Reform : Peter Goindi : Drums Bill Watkins : Bass Guitar Mark Taylor : (Acoustic) Electric Guitar Melvin Donovan : Acoustic Guitar, 12 String Electric Guitar Richard Trudeau : Lead Vocal, Acoustic Guitar, Harmonica, Extras... This video can be watched in full HD mode. Play loud, it sounds better that way. ---------------------------------------------- Hello folks, So, here we are again with yet another double feature Beatles Fest. From two very different eras, these songs are certainly among the best they ever recorded. As for “Mother Nature’s Son”, that one was audio/video recorded in November of 2012. It has been hanging around for about 4 years and a half before I finally decided to reproduce a full arrangement and present it here today. 5 songs were recorded that same day, the 11th of November 2012. Three of them have been released so far, Monty Montgomery's "Midlife Matinee", Paul McCartney's "Baby's Request" and finally The Beatles' "Mother Nature's Son. I still have a John Lennon song and one of my own from that same session to be released in the future… “I Should Have Known Better” was initiated on the 14th of June 2016. Since I always have tons of music projects coming in and out, I have to make some choices and sometimes the newer projects have to wait. It’s a question of priorities, of course. The situation might change drastically when I’m able to work on my music full time one of these days. I want to thank my fellow musicians who, as always, did a fantastic job in playing their respective parts. It’s a true pleasure for all of us to be able to play The Beatles music on a regular basis… Each and every one the “Tinted Reform” members are total MANIACS of THE FAB FOUR. Thanks for watching and listening and if you enjoy the songs, feel free to share the video link with your friends. Cheers, Richard, Bill, Peter, Melvin and Mark.

Level Five (King Crimson)_RT’s Vault of Eras Band – 20 January 2017 ---------------------- Featuring: Peter Goindi | Acoustic drums Tedd VanWagner | Bass guitar Fred White | Electronic drums, synthesizer Bill Watkins | 5 and 8 String bass guitars Richard Trudeau | Electric guitars ---------------------- This video can be watched in full HD mode. Play loud, it sounds better that way ! ---------------------- Hello friends ! So, here we go again with our very first project presentation in 2017. This time the band features some of the most accomplished musicians I know and love. When I first introduced the idea of making a cover of this King Crimson song, I remember Tedd saying to me that I was crazy and that he would not miss the opportunity for anything (lol). So, it all started from there really. I also proposed to make it an even bigger challenge than it already was by wanting to add two drummers and two bass players in the project. The guys I needed to go riding on this one with me were automatic choices. Tedd, Fred and Bill at first. I had not met Peter yet, so another drummer was invited to join, but he declined the invitation. By the time we were ready to start working on the project a few months later, I had met Peter and he became an automatic choice as well. I knew by then that this lineup was the perfect one for the project… it was also clear in my mind that we could pull this one off with a lot of hard work. I think we succeeded in doing that quite well. Everyone involved here, truly worked their brains out to make it what it is. Though we're all very aware that this type of music is not for everybody to appreciate, it surely stands for me personally as being one of the most enjoyable music projects I ever initiated involving other musicians. Playing music with such a great bunch of guys is always a pure pleasure, nothing else! We hope you will enjoy this piece as much as we had fun making it ! Cheers, Richard

All Along The Watchtower (Bob Dylan)_Richard Trudeau, 19 Décembre 2016. ------------------- This video can be watched in full HD mode. Play loud, it sounds better that way. ------------------- This is probably one of the most covered Bob Dylan songs. Jimi Hendrix made it his own in the 60s as well as many other artists after him. The first time I saw Michael Hedges live in Montreal, he opened his concert with that song. I thought he'd given it a pretty nice twist as he had previously recorded it to be featured on his 1986 album "Watching My Life Go By". Michael was and still is my favourite acoustic guitar player... ever ! Thanks for watching and listening ! Richard

This video can be watched in a full HD mode. --------------------------------------- Hi everybody ! I’m very proud to be able to present this song to you after a little more than two years of working sporadically on it, until it finally made its way to the finish line. I want to express my most heartfelt thank you to Annemiek and Fred for their epic work as they came along later in the course of the project. Also, a huge THANK YOU especially to my wonderful big sister Joyce for baring with me for such a long time (a little more than two years)… She never ever complained about anything regarding all the waiting, the delays and everything. This is to me the true mark of a real professional. This song is part of a concept album called “L’Heptade” that was released as a double LP in 1976 by Quebec Progressive Rock group “Harmonium”. To me, it is the best album that was ever made and recorded in Quebec’s music history… To this day, it remains unmatched. So we hope you will enjoy our cover version of this great song and if you like it, please feel free to share it with your friends either on Facebook, Twitter or anywhere else… Thanks for watching and listening ! Children’s Song #1 (Chick Corea / Lee Ritenour)_RT’s VOEB – 18 Octobre 2016 Annemiek Beex : Piano. Fred White : Synthesizer, Bass, Percussions. Richard Trudeau : Classical Guitar. -------------------------------------------- This piece was originally composed by jazz pianist Chick Corea for his Childrens Songs album released in 1984. It was then borrowed by Lee Ritenour who was inspired to compose an extension segment which resulted in this beautiful and soft jazz piece. When I heard this arrangement for the first time, It grabbed me immediately and I wanted to make a cover of it real bad, sooner or later. When the time came to recruit musicians for the project, my two wonderful musician friends Annemiek and Fred came to mind in a flash without any hesitation. It was clear to me that I wanted to record this song with both of them. Annemiek’s unique touch and Fred’s amazing musical ear was exactly what I needed to go around this one… I’m very proud of the final result ! The original Chick Corea part is a very tricky thing to comprehend as it was built with a very awkward structure. Beat #1 is supposed to be on the G note, but I’m hearing the song in a different way even after a thousand listens. It makes more sense to me to place the second note which is E on the down beat # 1... by this I mean that the G note is the anticipation up beat note to the start of the count… on E. Still, I’m able to hear it as it was written, but it’s very hard to keep the focus throughout the whole song especially when the melody kick’s in… Very strange, but surely the work of a genius and a very good exercise for the brain. It’s quite okay for me since it’s a beautiful piece from both angles anyway… Jazz music is one of the main route to my musical identity… I composed a lot of jazz oriented music in my early twenties and my love for that type of music has always been there as far as I can remember. I will be featuring a lot more jazz oriented material in the future because it’s part of who I am… I hope you will all enjoy the band’s effort to try to bring justice to this delightful music piece. Thanks for watching and listening ! Peace and love to all. Richard

Be Here Now (George Harrison)_RT’s Vault Of Eras Band – 8 October 2016 I’m very glad to be back to present a new cover song after three months of not posting anything here on Fandalism. It has been one hell of a hot and sticky 2016 summer here in Montreal, Quebec and making music under these torrid conditions is not very inspiring… and to be quite honest, my left thumb injury has been a real pain in the ass this summer if I may say so ! I’m not allowed to play guitar at all presently, but that’s a long story… So, here we have a George Harrison song that I’ve initiated last year. I wanted to record this song for a long time. I invited my good friends Bill Watkins on bass guitar and Fred White on piano and synth drone to join me. I think they both did a tremendous job at helping me in trying to bring the song into a new dimension. My beatle brother Mark Taylor joined at the very last minute to incorporate his electric guitar, hours before I was to start the final mix process. A single chord played at three different spot in the song was all I needed. I wish to thank him kindly for taking over for me with such short notice. Thank you Mark buddy, I know I can always count on you… I’m a true George Harrison fan, even though his religious beliefs were taking a lot of space in many of his songs… it never prevented me to appreciate his huge talent as a songwriter. “Be Here Now” is undeniably my favorite of them all. Every time I hear it, I’m amazed by the beauty and the cleverness of George’s arrangement. It sounds absolutely PERFECT to me. The ex-beatle second album was a good album, not has strong as his predecessor which remained his best throughout his career, but never the less it’s a very interesting opus. The boys and myself are truly hoping you will enjoy what we came up with and we wish to thank everybody for watching the video while listening to the song. One last thing, if you like the song, please feel free to share the link with your friends. Peace and love to you all, Richard

This song features my wonderful and talented friend Joyce Walsh along with Geneviève Hovington and Denis Walsh, Joyce’s dad ! The song was initially arranged by Joyce then performed and recorded live by the three of them. I directed and engineered the session which occurred on November the 8th 2014. Four complete takes of the song were recorded that day. With all the usual lack of time due to my busy life and so many other projects I’m involved in, I wasn’t able to proceed with the producing of the song until recently. Also, Joyce (understandably) was deeply affected by the lost of her mum in early summer of 2015. So honestly, the time was not proper for me to talk music with her for a while... At the beginning of July 2016, I thought it was time for me to resume this project and bring it to the finish line. First, I had to take several listens to each of the four takes recorded before finally deciding that take 2 was the best overall. The level of emotion and expression in that particular take was perfect… So, there you have if friends ! Joyce is back and I’m very happy about that ! Like always, it was a fun and constructive recording session. It was also a true pleasure and privilege for me to work on this project. Not only because it’s one of my very favorite Beatles songs, but mostly because Joyce, Geneviève and Denis are truly wonderful human beings. “Thank you for being part of my life, I love you guys”. Play loud, it sounds better that way ! ------------------------------------------------ Harvest Moon (Neil Young)_RT’s Vault Of Eras Band – 8 July 2016 This project was initiated in August 2015. To me, It’s one of the most beautiful songs Neil Young ever wrote along with the very poignant Philadelphia which is undeniably my personal favorite. I have accumulated tons of different music projects in the last two years or so and I know that for some of the musicians recruited for these projects, the process seems to be quite long. I can understand that ! The thing is that my passion for music is so huge that new ideas for songs are popping up in my head all the time… There are so many good songs out there to pick from... and it's been like that ever since I began making recordings nearly 40 years ago. And the fact that it became possible to do most of them having such a fabulous well of good musicians (Fandalism), why would I want to stop it ? No way ! I’m having the time of life with my music entourage ! I’m alive and NOW is the time ! One day, it will be too late ! I wanted a bunch of dancers for the video. 9 couples were invited to participate, but for some reason, we ended up being 3 couples for the dance. They all initially said yes to the invitation except for Lance and his wife Huguette who politely declined the invitation. Since Lance is such a sweet man and a fine musician too, I asked him if he would consider playing guitar with me instead… My beautiful and lovely wife Isabelle is featured here with her pretty little voice. She was one of the main singers for the Christmas project if anyone can remember. It’s very hard to find good female backing vocal singers and from now on, I intend to use Isabelle's voice every time it will be needed … if she wants to do it of course. “Thank you for your fine and delicate work BELLE, I love you more than life itself” ! Finally, I would like to thank my very special musician friends, Bill, Tedd, Lance and Rod for their patience and commitment to this fun project. You know I love you guys ! Also, to my two best friends and their charming wives, Mario/France and Pierre/Claudine. Thanks for watching and listening dear Fandalites ! Richard

This video can be wached in full HD mode. ---------------- Baal T'shuvah (Michael Hedges) - Richard Trudeau, 2 July 2016. The term baal teshuva is from the Talmud, literally meaning "master of repentance". The term is used to refer to a worldwide phenomenon among the Jewish people. This is a very nice little guitar piece composed by my ultimate acoustic guitar guru, Michael Hedges. Michael’s tragic death in late 1997 was a shock to me… The music world had just lost one of the most brilliant musicians that ever existed. Thankfully his music remained intact and inspired most of the so called fingerstyle guitarists everywhere today. There will never be another Michael Hedges, he was unique in his musical approach and was so divers in his playing style. His unbelievable skills made him a much appreciated musician on the guitar planet. I miss him a lot ! Thank you Michael for such greatness… Wherever you are ! This video can be watched in full HD mode. Play loud, it sounds better that way ! ---------------- Guardian Angels | L.A. Underground (covers)_RT's VOEB - 20 May 2016 This project along with the second “Kinetic Guitars Project” are most definitely the toughest I had to deal with as a producer in recent years. All kind of unexpected turns and twists occurred in the early stages of this project. As much as I love playing frequently with the same collaborators, I also dig playing with new musicians every once in a while. So when the idea of covering this song came to me, it was clear in my mind that I wanted to work with jazz musicians. I went on a recruiting mode, needing to find a solid drummer, keyboard player and a tight bass player. Menios was my only choice for the drum part... a supremely talented musician who lives in Greece. I was immediately struck by his skills. He also turned out to be a fine gentleman ! When I recruited the bass player, that's when the problems began. He seemed like a good candidate at first, but as the days, the weeks, the months went by, I realized that he was not interested at all... His response to my (updates) e-mail were like : “Cool”, “Good”, “Okay”, "Nice", "Sure"... I told him once that he was pretty short with words. "Oh, I'm very busy... bla bla bla" was his response. He was not communicating at all and that started to pisse me off big time at a certain point. I worked my ass off to make him feel welcome by making a couple of reference tracks so he could record his bass and all that. He just stopped answering my e-mails ! I sent him a couple of messages back to back, but he never replied to me again. So I decided that I would record the bass track myself. I programmed it ! By that time I had recruited James who was warmly recommended by another great lad Sam (SaGoBa)... I was very pleased with Jim's attitude when he came into the project, but all the waiting and waiting and pushing and shoving to try to get through the bass player had begun to get to me and I started to lose interest in the project. Then Menios told me he would not be able to finish the project because he had professional engagements and was too busy... Fortunately, he had previously recorded his drums. That's the reason we only see photos of him in the video. I really wanted to regain my drive back to finish this project, so I had to put it away for a few months and that's what I did... Even though it was a very difficult project to achieve, I'm really proud with the final outcome. As for the short introduction guitar piece "Guardian Angels", I used to play that one a lot when I was 20 years old... left it alone for a huge number of years before I decided to record it. It was obviously way too short to post it as a single piece project... So there you go ! I personally want to thank my friend James Wilkas for sticking with me throughout the whole process. Had it not been because I didn't want to deceive him any longer, this project would still be laying on the shelf. Thanks for watching and listening ! Oh, and reading too ! Richard

Fred White : Keyboards / Drums Tedd VanWagner : Lap Steel Guitar / Bass Richard Trudeau : Lead Vocal / Acoustic and Electric Guitars Hello folks, It happened on Facebook one day ! I posted a Gentle Giant song (“River”) on my page as I often do, tagging along Fred and Tedd since I know they both dig GG’s music as much as I do. It was the very next day I believe, that I received the invitation from both Fred and Tedd to join them in making a cover version of that actual song. I had previously recorded a Gentle Giant song (“Raconteur Troubadour”) on my own whitout releasing it. Since I thought that this particular piece was a little short in time, I thought I would eventually feature it along with a longer song and make it a double feature Gentle Giant post. Then came the offer to join Fred and Tedd. I proposed my original idea of making a double feature project to both of them and they tought it was a good idea. So, there it is friends. I was very impressed with what Fred and Tedd did on "River" which happened to be one of my favorites from GG. Fred's keyboards and drum as well as Tedd's bass and guitar tracks are spot on… Such fabulous talented men ! I feel very fortunate to have the “opportunities” to play with such skillful musicians… I want to say a very heartfelt “Thank You” to both of you guys for letting me join the fun. As for you dear friends, we hope you will enjoy this one, there’s a lot of love, heart and soul in there… Cheers, Richard

You're Own Special Way (Genesis)_RT's Vault Of Eras Band - 29 March 2016 The band's lineup : Bob Benvenuti : Lead Vocal Tedd VanWagner : Bass Fred White : Keyboards, Drums Richard Trudeau : 12 String acoustic guitar, Electric Guitars, Vocal Harmonies This video can be watched in full HD mode. Play loud, it sounds better that way ! ---------------------------------------------------------- Hello folks. This Genesis project was initiated in late October 2014. Like some other projects I started a while back, this one was certainly bound to be finalized later than sooner (so busy all the time). Still, a lot little things were done on it here and there from time to time, but after a year and a half of that I thought it was time to bring this song to the finish line. This beautiful piece of material is truly a part of my youth, my teenage year as I like to say. The album in which it is featured represents to me, the very last “Good/Interesting” Genesis album as I knew and loved them. After that, YEEEEESSSHHHHH… many “not so flattering” words comes to mind, but why bother, it’s only music after all ! The guys I recruited for this project are some of the best musicians I know and dig ! Making music with these fellas is an absolute treat and privilege for me ! “So, thank you boys for the FAB work you’ve done and for your patience as well.” I hope you will enjoy our version of the song my friends, there’s a lot of love, soul and commitment in this actual recording. Thanks for watching and listening ! Cheers, Richard

Play loud, it sounds better that way ! ---------------------------------------- Yes It Is / If I Needed Someone (The Beatles)_RT’s Vault Of Eras Band – 9 February 2016 Hello folks, well here we are again with yet another Beatles double feature project. I suspect that some of you may wonder or ask “What is it with all those Beatles covers anyway ?”. I’m aware that there’s always a lot of Beatles songs in circulation all the time all year long on Fandalism. But, what can I say, I just love The Beatles to the core and playing their music makes me happy ! There’s always a great bunch of guys/friends willing to play and have fun recording some of the best music ever written. So, why shouldn’t we do it ? We’re not re-inventing anything here, we only want to share the pleasure we have making all these FAB songs. So this being said, I will keep on initiating these cover projects for as long as I possibly can. Of course, there're all kinds of other great music stuff I’m interested in as well and I intend to continue producing these also… “RT’s Vault Of Eras Band” has a different lineup for each new project. For this particular one, I asked Melvin Donavan, one of the coolest man around, if he would care to join Mark Taylor, Bill Watkins and myself for these two songs… he immediately responded YES to my request ! The whole idea of this project started to emerged in August 2015 while I was on vacation. I thought it would be a great challenge to try to reproduce “Yes It Is” with some of the boys. I talked to my buddies Mark and Bill about it and they thought it was a good Idea. Mark made it very clear that he would not sing in it. I got the message pretty quick.LOL ! Since most of The Beatles’ songs are short in time, I like to present them in a double feature format. For our second song, I proposed to Mark and Bill “I’m Only Sleeping”… and then I thought it would be an awkward follow up to “Yes It Is”. That’s when it hit me, “If I Needed Someone”… Mark had already proposed the song for a future project we discussed in a previous conversation we had. It became and obvious choice. We began recording both tracks in early October 2015. I want to thank my band mates Melvin, Mark and Bill for their commitment and their hard work on these two classic Beatles songs. I also want to thank all of you nice people who are always taking the time to read, watch, listen and comment. The guys and myself truly appreciate that ! Cheers ! Richard

McCartney) - RT's Vault Of Eras Band, 27 Décembre 2015 Hello folks ! Here we are again with another double feature of Paul McCartney’s music. These two songs had been hanging around for about a year before I was able to produce them in full. “Let Me Roll It” was initiated by Mark Taylor and myself as the last song of a McCartney trilogy we wanted to present. The first two songs are “Every Night” and “Dance Tonight” which were both previously posted here on my Fandalism page. As for “I’m Carrying”, I wanted to do that one for quite a long time too. I asked my friend Fred White if he would help me by putting his keyboard magic in the song… Fred is truly a magician in reproducing almost the exact keyboard sounds of any original song he puts his hands on. I’m so glad I was introduced to this great guy and musician earlier in 2015. We've played together in many other cool projects since we met. Projects that are still in preparation as I'm writing this text. Bill Watkins is such an inspiring bass player, this man could write a book on all the great meetings he had in is life so far… He’s a fascinating character and I truly like the way he plays on his instrument. So inventive, I dig the way he expresses his musical phrases… Never will you hear Bill play the same passage two times in a song unless it’s necessary... A great quality in a musician. His kindness is certainly one of his main quality as well. He had stayed quiet for a long time before I approached him for some of these projects I had in mind. RT’s Vault Of Eras Band always has a moving lineup, but as far as any beatles' music is concerned, my buddy Mark Taylor is certainly considered being a regular member of the band. His passion for The Beatles is very similar to mine, so… we’re stuck with each other for a long time, LOL ! I’m very happy to welcome my dear wife Isabelle as our backing singer. She loves it when I ask her to join me for some singing parts in a music project. She’s good and certainly can deliver the merchandise. I want to thank her for her great implication as well as my three other partners for their hard work and commitment ! You guys are beautiful ! Richard

The Book Of Love (The Magnetic Fields)_Annemiek Beex, Richard Trudeau - 12 December 2015 -------------------------------------- This cover song was initiated in March 2015 I believe. I wanted to do something with Annie for quite sometime and I thought that this beautiful song would be a good one to start with. Peter Gabriel made this song his own for sure... I must say that the original version from The Magnetic Fields was far less appealing to me than Peter's version. Since I'm always so busy all the time, it took me a while to start working on the production and be able to bring support to Annemiek's fabulous piano recording. Thank you dear friend for your patience, but most of all for lending me your wonderful talent. Peace and love to you dear lady and to you all my friends for watching and listening. Richard

Hello folks, This other McCartney song project was initiated by my friend Mark Taylor and myself in late August 2014. We knew from the start that the whole process would take some time to achieve, as well as the song/video to be released because of the so called "Christmas Project" in which we were both involved as administrators at that time. The basic tracks of this actual cover song were recorded quite early in the process, but I delayed the production until that next December so I could have all the video clips in hand to finish the project when the time would be right. Mark recorded his solo dance video first and then with members of his family. As for me, I decided I would capture my family and friends either near or right in the middle of the Christmas festivities. Since the very last video I had captured was made on Christmas day, it was obvious it would not be presented until the 2015 holiday season. The main reason was that we can see the Christmas trees in almost every clip... So, here it is now my friends. My friend Sylvain Lépine was invited to play drums on the song and I have to mention that it was his very first recording experience. I think he did a fine job and I want to thank him as well as my buddy Mark for their great work and patience. A huge heartfelt "THANK YOU" to all the dancers also. Thanks for watching and listening my friends. Richard

This is the second co-written song by Bob Benvenuti and myself. Usually, I don't present any of my work until it's 100% completed, but Bob asked me if I would do a quick mix for him as a favour, so I did ! BB is an incredible poet and his words on this guitar/tune track of mine shook me to the core. He just won't admit it, but I think that Bob is some kind of a slight genius in his own way. When it comes to writing and singing songs, I know I found my muse ! Him and me are in for a long and lasting friendship (I hope) and our music will keep on rising I'm quite sure... this version is minimal. I still have to polish some of the rough edges in there, but you'll get a pretty good Idea of what the song is all about. Thanks for listening. ----------------------------------------------------- "Time Happens" - RT & BB summer 2015. Morning comes creeping, finds you sleepy, In the soft breath, and warm glow. The days last forever, like mama and the cat, ... in the window. Raining or sunny days, time happened anyway Spent with the wonderment, paid in the moments that fell, down, around you How did you choose, what you thought you would use, to get by. Sunlight comes slashing, like a sharp sword on the shield, of a drawn shade. You don't want to wake up, what a drag it is! ... getting up Monday. Raining or sunny days, time to waste, time to trade, On if comes, and could bes The should've beens, the maybes, they fell down, ... and found you. Clinging too tightly to, what you thought you knew, to get by. All of your heres, all your nows, all the years, of your yesterdays. All of those choices, you made in those moments, come perfectly clear, on the day, that the nurse sets you... Down for your last breath. Watching dust dance with the light, by the window. Behind the sparkle, the swirl, memories pass before the glass, ... like a slideshow. All the raining and sunny days, The time you took, the time you gave, To filling the roles you played, by digging in the holes that lay, deep down, ... inside you. Now there's naught for you, but to bid it all adieu, Goodbye. Now there's naught for you, but to bid it all adieu, Goodbye. Now there's naught for you, but to bid it all adieu (sigh).

Although it is a known fact, I did not make that many covers of the band's music since I joined Fandalism. Of course I did a lot of crappy Beatle covers decades ago that I still have on an old cassette somewhere in my archives. They will remain there ‘till the end of time... LOL. For this double feature project, I asked my two buddies Mark and Bill to join me. It is imperative to work on these songs with serious Beatle admirers as I am… Otherwise it would not be as fun! We have a few more Beatle songs in the works and I also have songs I did by myself… I want to thank my friends Mark and Bill for their splendid work and great attitude in making this project a truly fun one ! Thanks for watching and listening ! Play the songs loud, they sound better that way ! Cheers, Richard

There’s A Way_RT & BB - 9 September 2015 ------------------------------------------------------------- (This video can be watched in full HD resolution.) Hello folks, My good friend and music partner Bob Benvenuti and myself are proud to present our very first co-written song ! This song was born a little more than two years ago in the spring of 2013. I composed the tune along with the chord progression in a very short period of time. While I was in the process of composing, I kept hearing Bob’s voice in my head… It became more and more obvious as the music was unfolding, that I was composing this song for him specifically. When I finally had the complete structure down with the melody, I made a quick demo and I approached Bob by asking him if he would take a listen. I told him that this new song may be a perfect one for him to write lyrics and sing on it. It was surely meant to happen because Bob fell in love with the music and began working on the lyrics almost immediately. We were both very excited ! As time went by, it became an on and off project that was “kinda” riding on a bumpy road sometimes… We didn’t always agree on what should be done or not regarding the arrangement of the song! We both had to tame and learn to work with each other! Bob is an intense and sometimes very stubborn man, but so am I… HAAAAAA!!! Anyway, we finally made it to the finish line and our friendship didn’t even get a scratch! On the contrary, it became more refined and stronger! That’s the beauty of respect, good will and good communication. Partnership is not always an easy game to play, you take some, but you also have to give some. Our next song, which is already written and composed, will be much easier to process. “I promise you man” LOL! One thing I have to mention also is that Bob worked up a pretty solid melody in the bridge particularly. He played around the melody I already had installed, to make it more his own and it payed off because it sounded better than mine... more expression and dynamics! That was Bob’s contribution to the music. My contribution to the lyrics was the title of the song, the "THINK & FEEL" words at the very end of the video and the credits… LOL ! On behalf of Bob and myself, we want to thank all of you nice people for your great support and interest in our material. Peace ! Play the song loud, it sounds better that way ! Richard

This video can be viewed in full HD mode. Three Miniatures Classical Guitar Pieces – Richard Trudeau, 22 August 2015. Carrying on with my fourth posting of the series for “My Teenage Years” guitar pieces. These three little miniatures for classical guitar has been with me for a long time. I must have been around 16 when I learned to play them. They were never officially recorded until September 2014 along with the three previously released guitar covers of Steve Howe’s “Mood For A Day”, Steve Hackett’s “Horizons” and Bert Jansch “Black Waterside”/Jimmy Page’s “Black Mountain Side” that can be found on this page. Technically, these little classical pieces are not complicated ones to play. They are very well structured though. Often, the simplest things are the bests. That’s why I’m very fond of those miniature classical gems. Thanks for watching and listening my friends, Richard

I've Seen All Good People (YES)_RT's Vault of Eras Band - 3 July 2015 Fred White: Vocal Harmonies, Flute, Keyboards Tedd VanWagner: Vocal Harmonies, Bass Guitar Kent Taylor: Vocal Harmonies, Drums Richard Trudeau: Lead Vocal, Vocal Harmonies, Mandolin, Guitars --------------------- Well Well Well, here we are folks with the very first collaboration of what I like to call … “RT’s Vault Of Eras Band”. This concept is consisting in making cover songs (each time with a different “musicians lineup”) of some of the singers or bands that were and still are a great inspiration to me (past/present). As a teenager, I became a huge Progressive Rock music fan with groups like Gentle Giant, Genesis, Jethro Tull, King Crimson and of course YES. To this day, I still think that this period was by far the best for that type of music. I mean for all the people of my generation anyway, we were really spoiled with fabulous music. This actual project was initiated in November 2014. My choice of musicians for this complex “YES” song was an obvious one from the start, Kent Taylor on drums and Tedd VanWagner on bass. Then, I was introduced to Fred White for the keyboard parts. The addition of Fred was an excellent one, like Kent and Tedd before him, his attitude was a great inspiration to begin with. The blend of the four of us with our distinctive music backgrounds created a fabulous vibe that lasted throughout the process of putting this song together. Everyone worked so very well in all aspects of the song, especially on the vocal harmonies which I think was the biggest challenge in that ambitious project. In the end, we all felt that we’ve pulled this one off greatly! Mission accomplished guys! Not bad for 4 old farts eh? LOL! I would like to thank my friends… Kent, Tedd and Fred for their amazing commitment to this project and their unbelievable talent… I’m grateful to the three of you guys! I aslo want to say a huge “THANK YOU” to Kent for all the hard work on this wonderful video montage of his. --------------------- It was quite a journey for the four of us and we hope you will enjoy listening as much as we enjoyed making it! Play loud, it sounds better that way! Cheers, Richard

Many of you guys just might suspect how huge of a Jim Croce fan I am. Curiously, I had never done any of his songs until this one came up about two weeks ago. Bob's voice always blows me away each time I listen to it. He's one hell of a passionate and colourful singer ! Absolutely one of the bests if not the best I've ever known and work with. And to be honest, I don't even think Bob himself knows how good he is... We've established, sometime ago, an exhaustive list of songs we would love to cover together. There's a few of them in the process of being produced at this very moment. Bob is no longer an active Fandalism member for his own reasoinbs, but on behalf of him and myself, we would love to say thanks to all of you who's taking the time to watch and listen. We’ve known each other for about three years now, ever since I joined Fandalism. So it’s a bit awkward to realize that this song is in fact our very first collaboration together. Of course we’ve played together lots of time… The Kinetic Guitars Quartet, The Christmas Project and other projects yet to be released, but it was always in the context of a band project. Now, it’s the two of us only and it’s the first of many more to come… This McCartney song is surely not a complicated one. It is short and simple, but Mark and I thought it would be a nice one to start our “Beatles” music association with. We began working on three McCartney songs in last August, but with all the different projects Mark and myself are involved in, we never had the chance to complete any of them until now… So, here it is folks, we hope you will like it. Sueño de Tucci (Tucci’s Daydream) – Richard Trudeau 23 March 2015 This guitar piece was composed years ago, but had never been recorded until September 2014. I’ve decided then that I was to dedicate it to a man whose talent and kindness are undeniable. I’m talking of course about Marc Tucciarone ! “This one is especially for you Marc. Thanks for all the great support you have given me ever since we’ve met here on Fandalism. You’re a true gentleman and a fine songwriter/guitarist. You deserve far more recognition than you already have here in my humble opinion... So, here’s my tribute to your talent, your music and yourself as a beautiful human being. All my RESPECT to you brother.” I also want to thank you all for watching and listening folks. Please go and check Marc’s Fandalism page, he’s one hell of a fine musician ! Gondolier (Dalida) – Denis Walsh, 18 février 2015 ------------------------------------------------------------- Denis Walsh : Lead vocal, backing vocals. Joyce Walsh : Backing vocals. Geneviève Hovington : Backing vocals. Richard Trudeau : All instruments, backing vocals and producing. ------------------------------------------------------------- This song was published in 1957. It was popularized by Dalida. The song was rendered into English as "With All My Heart" and became a hit for Jodie Sands in the United States and Petula Clark in the United Kingdom. I wanted to do this song for quite sometime even though it’s not the type of music I usually produce for myself, I always loved the melody in it. I offered the song to a couple of female singers I know, but they didn’t want to do it as they thought it was not their kind of song. That’s when I thought of Denis Walsh, my good friend Joyce’s dad who in his young days was a singer and played vibraphone in a jazz band. I met Mr. Walsh in early 2014 in a recording session we had at my studio for “The Christmas Project”. I was totally amazed by his humour, his personality and of course the quality and strength of his voice… This man is (now) 81 and he’s as alert as a 50 year old. So, as I was saying, I proposed this actual song to Mr. Walsh at the very end of the “Christmas Project” session. He immediately said yes. All the voices in the song were recorded on a Saturday matinee of October 2014. I was not planning on producing the song until I was done with some other projects I was well engaged in when Joyce came to me. She asked if I would consider producing her dad’s song in time for the upcoming 80th birthday of her mom. Since Joyce is a wonderful friend, I couldn’t say no to her. So, I tossed all the other stuff I was doing at that time to work on Mr. Walsh’s song. My very special thanks to Mr. Walsh for his fantastic work. To Geneviève, who’s voice sounds like a breath of fresh air. And finally to my big sister Joyce, who’s friendship is most important to me. Thanks for watching and listening folks. Peace and love to all my supporters ! Richard

This guitar piece is the third I'm posting in the context of "My Teen Years" series which consist in recording some of the guitar pieces that influenced and helped to forge my own musical identity throughout the years. Led Zeppelin were a huge influence for me as a young teenager and still are to this day. Jimmy Page was such an inspired musician back then, he was my absolute guitar hero for a long long time before I came across other guitarists that I thought were amazing also. This particular song was not on my "to do" list at all to begin with... It just came to me in a flash and thought it would be relevant to include it in the concept. I love this piece very much, but I always thought that the solo part near the end was so out of place and weird... It took me quite a while to tame this short passage and accept that it is actually what was meant to be. So there it is folks ! Thanks for watching and listening. Peace, Richard

Horizons (Steve Hackett) - Richard Trudeau 11 January 2015 This is the second post of a series of guitar pieces that I've been playing since my teenage years which were never recorded before. The first was "Mood For A Day" by Steve Howe and YES. I was and still am a huge Genesis fan, especially from the Peter Gabriel era right up until 1977. After that period they've lost me for good ! Steve Hackett was such an important part of Genesis. With him leaving the group in 1977, two years after the great Peter Gabriel, the group became a pop/rock band making far less interesting music compared to their best years which were between 1970 and 1975. So there you have it, "Horizons" was the prelude to one of the greatest 15/20 minute songs ever written... "Supper's Ready" from the epic album "Foxtrot" in 1972. I certainly wouldn't mind doing this last one someday. I know a few great guys who would probably jump at the occasion... Ehehehehe ! Thanks for watching and listening folks. Be well ! Richard

Arranged and produced by Doug Steigerwald. ---------------------------------------------- Richard Trudeau : Lead vocals Jérôme Lemay Jr. : Vocals/Acoustic guitar Annemiek Beex : Piano/Organ Karel Willemen : Bass Doug Steigerwald : Vocals/Guitar/Drum programming ---------------------------------------------- This song was originally written in the early 2000’s. It had French lyrics to it, but for some reason, it had never made it farther than the bookshelf in my studio. Since I have truckloads of songs like that one in my personal archives, I often revisit those to see if I could find some inspiration to give life to some of the songs in there… I always thought that this here song had a whole lot of potential indeed, but since it was so imprinted in my head, I had lost all objectivity in making it into something interesting. That’s when I approached my good friend Robin Rendell and asked him if he would consider writing some lyrics (in English) for that particular song ! He did and this is what he came up with… I thought is was great ! Then the challenge was to find someone who would be interested in producing it and make it shine… I’m glad and proud it ended up in Doug’s hands ! Him and me had previously worked on "The Kinetic Guitars Quartet" projects. This man is such an incredible talent here on Fandalism, certainly one of the best in my book. And his generosity and kindness is something else ! So here it is folks ! I want to thank Robin for his outstanding work in writing the lyrics, to all the musicians involved in this wonderful recording and to my good friend and colleague Doug for his amazing work on both the audio and video of this song. Thanks for watching and listening friends and please go and visit the crew’s fandalism pages, where there’s a whole lot of inspiring music to discover. Cheers, Richard

Happy Christmas (War Is Over) - The Peace United Choir Singers, 27 November 2014. This idea of wanting to make the biggest Fandalism collaboration possible came to me in the late fall of 2013. Since Christmas was just around the corner at that time, it would have to be set to happen for the Christmas holiday festivities in 2014. So I told my good friend Mark Taylor about what I had in mind. I immediately asked him if he wanted to be my partner as a musician and consultant/assistant too. So that’s how it all began really… My buddy Pierre came in for the production part of the project and also as a consultant/assistant later on… And then we were three ! The very first thing that Mark and I did was to set a list of people who we thought might be interested in participating in the project. About 75 names were put on that list including the most popular musicians on Fandalism as well as many other great artists ! Friends and family members names were also put on that list. We finally ended up with 51 singers for the song. So, I just need to get one thing straight here ! If some of you are wondering why “She or He” aren’t present on that Song/Video… All I can say about it is that chances are they were invited ! Some people didn’t want to participate at all and that’s okay. Others, either didn’t bother to respond to our invitation, withdrew themselves from the project or never delivered their material in time before the deadline. We may have skipped a few of course (we’re only humans after all), but it was certainly not intentional… It’s impossible to quantify the amount of time that was invested in this huge project… It was most frightening to imagine putting all this together in the first place, but having a lot of confidence and self-discipline, I knew right from the start it was possible to achieve. Everything in this project was made with such great interest, commitment and laughter, not only from Pierre, Mark and myself, but from all the singers and musicians involved as well. Thank you guys for lending your amazing talents to us. You’ve all worked so very well in doing what you were set to do… On behalf of Pierre and Mark, I want to thank you all from the bottom of my heart ! One last thing I would like to say about the project… please take note that most of the singers that are shown on photos are because of their own personal choices. A few of the other singers are also shown on photos because their videos were either partially or completely unusable. As for you all nice people out there, thanks for watching and listening and may you have “A Very Merry Christmas And A Happy New Year” from all of us around the world… Richard, Pierre, Mark and “The Peace United Choir Singers”. ------------------------------------------------- P.S. Mood For A Day (Steve Howe) - Richard Trudeau 23 Novembre 2014 ______________________________ Hello folks, I'm very happy and exited to be back on Fandalism. As some of you already know I've been away from "Postland" for the most part of 2014... working on The Christmas Project. This is only my third post in 2014. I have a whole lot of catching up to do with a lot of my friends music. I will try and make amends to the best of my capability in 2015. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is the first of a series of guitar pieces I recorded In September 2014 that I will post here every once in a while… These guitar pieces are covers from my teenage years as they represents an important part of my musical Identity. I’ve been playing these guitar pieces ever since I was 17, but never had a chance to record them. So I thought that the time was right to finally do them. This piece is from the YES classic album “Fragile” and the video can be viewed in HD. . Thanks for watching and listening my friends. My best regards to all of you. Richard

"Unassuming Capriccio" by The Kinetic Guitars Quartet - 25 September 2014. The Players : Doug Steigerwald Mark Taylor Lance Bedwell Richard Trudeau ------------------------------------------ Hello dear friends, This new piece was initiated at the end of 2013. Since The Christmas Project has taken most of my time in 2014, it was hard (not to say impossible) to concentrate on anything else. Now that the Christmas Project is in its final stage of completion and that there’s still plenty of time left before the official release, I thought I should bring back The Kinetic Guitars Quartet on top of my priorities. So I did and here it is ! This was not an easy piece to learn and play to begin with… not an easy project “period” to be quite honest ! So, I just want to praise and congratulate my three fellow guitarists for their hard work in delivering their assigned parts as true professionals. These three guys wanted to carry on with the project even though they knew that there had been four successive withdrawn from it ! This is a guitar quartet piece, but it was initially meant to be performed by eight different guitarists (triple track recordings for each players) ! Since we became short of players and everything seemed to be falling apart at a certain point, I was prepared to resume the project on my own. Then, Mark suggested that he record another guitar part beside his… so I thought, yeah why not, this could work ! I did the same by recording the three other parts beside mine. By doing so we would have at least the initial amount of guitars that was planned to be featured in the piece. Four guitars would have done the job for sure, but double or triple tracking all parts makes it more dynamic I believe ! So Doug, Mark and Lance, I just want to say… I love you guys ! Many thanks to you boys for sticking with me and the project. You’re the most kind persons and wonderful musicians I had the chance to work with ! As for you dear public, I want to say on behalf of The Kinetic Guitars Quartet members and myself… a very warm and heartfelt “Thank You” for watching and listening. And oh… just so that you know, this actual formation will be a permanent one from now on. There will be no more recruiting for all future Kinetic Guitars Projects. Peace and love to all !

All Shook Up (Elvis Presley) - Richard Trudeau 16 May, 2014. Here's a quickie for a change. I was practicing on my guitar when I felt the urge for singing and playing this Elvis classic out of the blue ! Believe it or not, I was absolutely not aware that an Elvis picture was in the background when I did this. That's called synchronicity folks ! Play loud, it's better that way ! Thanks for watching and listening ! Richard

It's my turn now to post this song/video on my page ! ------------------------------------ The Valley - Joyce Walsh 10 Novembre 2013 I proposed this collaboration to Joyce in last March. I began with the recording of the piano track alone, which I gave to Joyce once it was finished so that she would have a reference to record her voice. It was very early on a Saturday morning in last April that she made a three hour drive to Quebec city to one of her friend's recording studio to record 4 takes of her voice. I received the recorded voice tracks the next day ! Then something happened that totally stopped the creation process for a couple of months... I won't get into the details because it would be completely irrelevant. So anyway , at the beginning of the fall season, I thought it was time to finish the arrangement and complete the song... Here it is folks ! I especially want to thank Joyce for her incredible patience and her most appreciated friendship ! This is our first collaboration, but not our last ! Thanks for watching and listening folks ! Richard This video can be viewed in full HD resolution !

(All wrapped in) A Lullaby's Purple Melody - © Richard Trudeau, October 2013 This piece came to me in a flash... I was rehearsing in preparation for the "Back From The Brink" video recording and while I took a little pause from it, I started working around this very simple melody... I had a whole structured piece in about an hour later ! So, I thought it would be nice to record this one with Benoit Maillete's (my luthier) baritone guitar also, since he had lent it to me for a couple of days. So instead of recording one song, we've recorded two on that same September day of 2013... My friend and collaborator Pierre Lefebvre thought that the piece sounded like a lullaby. So I worked up a title in that perspective. Thanks for watching and listening folks ! Richard *This video can be viewed in full HD resolution.

Hello everyone, This is the first solo project I've posted on YouTube/Fandalism in the last six months ! I've been away mainly because I needed to achieve some pending work in the studio (not finished yet)... It's good to be back ! I will have a whole lot of catching up to do with some of you and your music, but I'm looking forward to it ! --------------------------------------------------------------------- This actual piece of music is a favorite of mine. It was composed by the great Billy McLaughlin. In fact, Billy is the only guitarist I know who can play both right handed and left handed, which I find pretty amazing. I hope you all enjoy this one folks ! Thanks for watching and listening. Richard

"Kinetic Guitars Project_unit # 1" is: Glenn Basham, New Jersey Mathieu Cantin, Quebec, Mark Taylor, California Rod Morgan, Ontario Sam Small, London UK Nigel Healy, California Doug Steigerwald, California Richard Trudeau, Quebec Rupture" is an instrumental piece I composed in 1988-89. I wanted to create a guitar formation of several guitarists for a very long time. In the mid 80's I was struck by Robert Fripp's "League Of Crafty Guitarists" and wanted to do something similar with my own material. Recruiting musicians for that kind of project then, was almost impossible... Now with the Internet and all the social networks available, it's quite an easy task ! So, throughout a short period of time, I've met quite a load of nice and talented musicians on Fandalism. Some of them have become very good friends... All seven guys playing with me on this track all belong to that category of friends ! So there you have it ! One instrumental piece, 8 guitarists who recorded three separate takes of each part they were assigned to and some extra recordings from my part... this makes a total of 33 guitars playing together at the same time ! I am very thankful to all the guys for lending me their individual talent and to have accepted to be a part of this great adventure with me. They've all done their homework brilliantly and never complained about anything. All of them without any exception have done a fantastic job... Guys, I personally want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your great interest and commitment to this project... There will be others "Kinetic Guitars Project" pieces with different lineups in the future... But "unit # 1" will always be the one that brought this ambitious project to life. You guys are a hell of a great bunch and may our friendship continue to grow... ------------------------------------------------------------------ Thanks for watching and listening folks ! I truly hope you will like this one... there's a whole lot of guitars in there and most certainly a gigantic amount of work... Peace ! Richard

Day Tripper/Lady Madonna (arr. Tommy Emmanuel) - Richard Trudeau This is my adaptation of Tommy Emmanuel's arrangement of these two "Beatles" classic songs. I've put in some of my own ingredients to it because first, reproducing a Tommy Emmanuel guitar tune in its entirety is almost impossible... and second, I found also that even if the guy is a guitar God to me, the pieces are played way too fast for my personal taste... So I've slowed down the pace a bit ! Most of the people I know, knows about my unconditional love for "The Beatles" ! They've been such a huge influence in the making of my own musical identity, far more than any other group I've worshiped throughout the years... Their amazing ability to create good songs that touches the hearts and souls of many generations is still a huge mystery to me and turns out to be quite unbelievable ! Let's be honest, some of the solo work they've given us are a great part of music history also, but never was the magic been recreated as it was so present when they were still a recording unit of the highest level ! Thanks for watching and listening folks ! Richard

"Smokey Mountain Lullaby" (arr. Tommy Emmanuel) - Richard Trudeau This beautiful and gentle little piece was composed by the legendary Chet Atkins. This actual version of mine is based on Tommy Emmanuel's arrangement. Needless to say that these two gentlemen are true mentors for me and for so many other guitarists... I especially whant to dedicate this piece to a very special child whose courage and determination goes beyond human power... to show us all, that we don't know what we got, until we have to fight for it... Sarah, this song's for you ! Thanks for watching and listening folks, Richard

"Nowhere Man" (The Beatles) - Richard Trudeau 1998 This is my very humble cover version of The Beatles masterpiece ! I thought it would be nice and appropriate if I'd put some rare home movie footage to the song. This magnificent piece of art was issued on the "Rubber Soul" album in 1965. In my opinion, one of the best John Lennon songs of his whole career... Thanks for watching and listening folks. Richard

"Rupture" - Richard Trudeau, Glenn Basham (1988) 2013 Here is an original song called "Rupture". The original instrumental piece was composed and performed by Richard Trudeau in 1988. Glenn Basham was inspired to write lyrics and add vocals to the piece, while recently working on Richard Trudeau's "Kinetic Guitars Project"... This recording is not the Kinetic Guitar Project, but it was inspired by it. Thanks for listening folks ! Richard & Glenn

"These Moments" (Antoine Dufour) - Richard Trudeau In my life so far, I’ve discovered quite a lot of musicians who were blessed with such talent that it's sometimes beyond comprehension. For me it remains one of the big mysteries of life… Well anyway, I’ve discovered Antoine Dufour about 2 or 3 years ago as I saw him perform in Montreal with a bunch of mates all affiliated with the “CandyRat Records” label. Since then, I’ve explored his work thoroughly and so I felt I was up for a challenge… So I decided to learn and play one of his pieces which I’m proud to dedicate to all of my friends here on "Fandlism". Thanks for watching and listening ! Richard

"Baby's Request" (Paul McCartney & Wings) - Richard Trudeau This is one of many Paul McCartney so... read morengs that capture's a certain jazzy feel. I always liked this simple but efficient little tune. It's included in (most certainly for me) one of the best "Wings" albums they ever made, "Back To The Egg" in 1979. This is my humble acoustic version... Thanks for watching and listening " Richard P.-S. I completely forgot to mention the name of my most appreciated collaborator in this video... Without Pierre Lefebvre it certainly wouldn't be as fun to do as we always have... All my apologies dear friend.

Midlife Matinee (Monty Montgomery) - Richard Trudeau 2012 This is a beautiful song written by Monty Montgomery. The man is an accomplished guitarist and also a great songwriter. This one is certainly a favourite of mine. I love the way he tells the story by making a parallel with tv and movies... This video is the first of a series of five videos which were all recorded the same day... November 17th 2012 to be precise ! Thanks for watching and listening ! Happy Christmas time to all ! Richard

"Fragile Forest" (Phil Keaggy) - Richard Trudeau 20 November 2012. This is a beautiful instrumental guitar piece composed by the great Phil Keaggy. The man is one of my guitar heroes as many others, but this breezy little tune confirm's with no doubt the intuitive/sensitive approach of that guitar master. So here it is folks, my cover version of Phil Keaggy's "Fragile Forest. Many thanks to my luthier Benoît Maillette for lending me is wonderful BM Contemporary acoustic guitar.
