As always my many thanks for stopping by to take a listen and as always a much heartfelt appreciation for your time. Cheers! =M= Silence where there once was sound, Laughter is nowhere to be found Crying when sons and daughter fall, Trying to understand it all Always it's the same, waiting for a change, a change, that never came, that never came Hard times and still no lessons learned, Red lines and still no one's concerned you tell me there's no blame, we all share in the pain, Always it's the same, waiting for a change, a change, that never came, that never came Hiding behind a wall of fear, hoping somewhere someone hears you tell me there's no blame, we all share in the pain, Always it's the same, waiting for a change, a change, that never came, that never came

Alan Hamilton Featuring Mauricio Garay - Easy Does It There. Folks it give me great pleasure present a song that I got to work on with the great Alan Hamilton, a fantastic keyboardist and musician, the track is called Easy Does It There, I have been listening to Alan since he joined Fanda and was wowed immediately by his music and talent, and asked if he might allow me on one of his songs and not only was I honored but challenged by his track , since this consisted of key's and chord's I'm not used to messing around with, this was a tough one for me, but all my thanks to Allen for the great track. Easy Dose It there Music and Instruments: Alan Hamilton Lyrics and Vocals: Mauricio Garay Home sweet home, the green hills and blue seas are gone, somewhere in time, the past you leave behind. Easy does it there, slow it down without a care, we wish you well, stories we hope you tell And just in the nick of time you found your way among'st the stars, dont make the same mistakes again you need to know who you are, and so begin, and look within and maybe with some luck you'll change your ways and start a brand new day, Far away, looking for a place to stay, a vacancy, we'll have to wait and see

Hi folks here is a Great Musical piece and video created by Fanda's own John Wegner, Paul Wegner, and Kai Leibert, they wrote a strong message and one that we could all take some heed from, "Rise Above the Noise" All music and lyrics, video were created by these two very talented gentleman and I was lucky enough to help with some voice work, my contribution was small and really just a stroke of their musical paint brush. It was an honor and I hope you will enjoy the piece of art from these two talented artist. Sentimental Journey - Cover - Annemiek - Chet - Mauricio "Sentimental Journey" is a popul... read morear song, published in 1944. The music was written by Les Brown and Ben Homer, and the lyrics were written by Bud Green. Les Brown and His Band of Renown had been performing the song, but were unable to record it because of the 1942–44 musicians' strike. When the strike ended, the band, with Doris Day as vocalist, had a hit record with the song, Day's first #1 hit, in 1945. Here is a cover of that Classic song Featuring The Grand Lady of the Piano: Annemiek Beex, Vocals: Mr Chet "Silk" Fortune and your's truly, Mauricio Garay. We hope you will enjoy our little sentimental collaboration!! and our many thanks and appreciation for stopping by as always!! Peace and Love =M=

"I'm Not in Love" is a song by English group 10cc, written by band members Eric Stewart and Graham Gouldman. It is notable for its innovative and distinctive backing track, composed mostly of the band's multitrackedvocals. Released in the UK in May 1975 as the second single from the band's third album The Original Soundtrack, it became the second of the group's three number-one singles in the UK between 1973 and 1978, topping the UK singles chart for two weeks. The song was also the band's breakthrough hit worldwide, reaching number one in Ireland and Canada and number two on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US, as well as reaching the top 10 in Australia, New Zealand and several European countries. 2015 Canadian jazz singer-songwriter and pianist Diana Krall covered the song for her 12th studio album, Wallflower. This cover is from that album's arrangement, I ain't no Diana Krall obviously, but a favorite song of mine for the dream like feeling this song has for me, anyway hope you enjoy and as always my many thanks for stopping by!! Robert Allen Palmer (19 January 1949 – 26 September 2003) was an English singer-songwriter and musician. He was known for his soulful distinctive voice, eclectic mix of musical styles on his albums, combining soul, jazz, rock, pop, reggae and blues and sartorial acumen. No denying what a Robert Palmer fan I am, I hope you enjoy this cover of his hit song "Know By Now" from the album "Honey released in 1994, I Was lucky enough to see him performer live a couple of times and he was without a doubt a class act, And I would think that's how I would want to do it. Any way thank you so much for stopping by and taking a listen, as always much appreciation from the bottom of my heart. Peace and Love =M= Baby, when our hearts awoke Think of all the rules we broke In the name of love, we hoped Little did we know Darling, all the time we spent Ooh, ignoring all the consequences And hiding from big evidence Hoping things would change But the yearning grew Like the loneliness of a castaway To be near to you was the only thing In my heart each day Keeping me alive 'Til your rescue came Honey, you mean everything to me You ought to know by now Love is everything to me You ought to know by now Only love can bring happiness Wishful thinking spent in vain What to lose and what to gain All the guilt and all the pain Seemed to come away But baby when our hearts awoke Oh, think of all the rules We broke In the name of love, we spoke Little did we know But the hope was there Like a ray of sun on a cloudy day Any change from impossibility To the only way Love can conquer all And it's here to stay Honey, you mean everything to me

Folks, It gives me great pleasure to have the honor of working with the one and only Giampiero Presilli aka Mister X on this Original song, we call "The Dreamer" If you have heard Giampiero's work/guitar playing then I dont need to tell you what a fantastic guitar player he is, here on Fanda he has gone by a few monikers Like X and Mister X , I simply call him incredibly talented!! We hope you enjoy our 1st collaboration and we both thank you for dropping by to take a listen as always it is highly appreciated. We hope you like it. A beautiful day to all, As always Peace and Love =M= Music&All Instruments: Giampiero Presilli Lyrics&Vocals: Mauricio Garay A glaze of stars truth or lies a Chained up heart only yearns to fly I'm holding on with all I have, The results of the aftermath The empty room the empty sound, thinking she would always be around You can't leave love up to fate, She's out the door cause she won't wait Soaring into the Lonely night, Fighting to create , create the light Knowing that there is meaning, Trying to awake, awaken the dreamer To a fault we tried and tried, You 'd think we'd learn from all the tears we cried I let her down with my wandering ways, she's not the kind to look the other way I know inside She's out of love not exactly something I'm proud of what she see's only she will say, another tale for another day Soaring into the Lonely night, Fighting to create , create the light Knowing that there is meaning, Trying to awake, awaken the dreamer Down the stairs, tossing her brown hair, she says goodbye she says you know I tried no more despair no more pressures there, shell close the door, now it's my turn to cry. I can't believe it, and I know I should have seen it, I hear the slam and I know it's too late I never should have waited , Cant Contemplate it, like the turning tide she just won't wait...

Stardust Baby - At the time of this posting It was a year ago that we lost one of our greatest artist David Bowie Pete Murr created this great track and asked if I would give it a go, soon as I heard this track I thought about David Bowie. The flavors and quite riffs behind had me thinking of all his great hits, so I thought I would use a lot of his song titles and a few lines from his songs to the melody and very loosely tie them up, after hearing this track, It's just my way of remembering the man and his music, of course this is not to say that what I did is any good, but again it's just a song to honor him with, We hope you like it and if not , that's the beauty of freedom....choice. As always my many thanks for coming by and taking a listen, Peace and Love =M= RIP David Bowie Somewhere in the night there's a shiny red bright light, The stars are zigging across the skyAn oddity that's lost in time, suspenders on his eyes a flame a Diamond dog known by his fame The man who once sold the world, the exception his china girl, Lets dance a hero's blues, we missed you, and your red shoes, it's not your brain, it's just the flame The gasoline makes you insane Stardust baby your such a snazzy Major Tom, Fashion Icon The Golden Years have brought you home Hush now baby you'll never have walk alone, Ashes to ashes dust to dust but you're not gone Just a man who fell to earth a scary monster for what it's worth, eyes of brown and eyes of blue in his words there hides the truth, hunky dory yes you a real rebel from the planet Mars, Changes don't bring me down, were just happy that your around Starman sing me the blues, we missed you, and your red shoes, You Tumble and then you twirl , like a man who wants to rule the world Stardust baby your such a snazzy Major Tom, Fashion Icon The Golden Years have brought you home Hush now baby you'll never have walk alone, Ashes to ashes dust to dust but you're not gone Music and All Instruments: Peter Murr Vocals: Mauricio Garay Lyrics arranged by: Mauricio Garay

Here is a song I worked on with the one and only Pete Murr, (Thank you Peter) who created and provided me this fine track, it's a Rock ballad more or less, It's called The Lonely Guitar, we hope you will give it a spin and enjoy. As always my many thanks for stopping by to take a listen and as always a much heartfelt appreciation for your time. Cheers! =M= In the far off distance in the dead of night, you can hear the guitar player but he’s out of sight. Hammering his song he's hammered for so long, a specter know one see's, full of misery A melody of heartbreak and of broken dreams, never understanding just exactly what it means He picks the strings and plays not telling you his name, heartbreak is all the same, isn't that why you came Through the burning fire Strumming with desire, The story now is told, the notes carried in the wind, and the ever gentle breeze that starts to sing. Through the fires rage through the embers haze, the clarity begins, a tale to be told again, from the very start to the very end Those who own the sorrow never knowing why, The clinging hopes now falling to the other side. And father time it seems clutching all your dreams, never letting go, enjoying his own show The lonely guitar cries in the lonely night, collecting right and wrongs, gathering all his songs , he just keeps playing on and on and on. With fire in his eyes, the burning spirit cries, tranquility be mine. Peace for all mankind, and take me to a place where I belong. The lonely guitar cries in the lonely night, Cries take me back home. Through the fires rage through the embers haze, the clarity begins, A story to be told again, from the very start to the very end. . in the lonely night the lonely guitar cries, Cries take me back home.

"My Cherie Amour" is a 1969 soul classic by Motown singer-songwriter Stevie Wonder. The song was originally recorded from late 1967 to early 1968, but not released until early 1969. The song was originally written about Wonder's girlfriend while he was at the Michigan School for the Blind in Lansing, Michigan, and had the title "Oh My Marsha". After they broke up, the lyrics and title were altered to the more general "My Cherie Amour". All the instruments except for the horns and the strings were recorded on November 8, 1967. Then, on November 17 of that year, the horns and strings were added at Golden World Records, one year before it was acquired by Motown. Finally, Wonder's vocals were added on January 15, 1968, but it was not released until January 28, 1969 because at the time of the song's release, Wonder had some vocal problems and had to wait until the problems were gone, so Motown decided to release some songs that Wonder had recorded years before and "My Cherie Amour" was one of them. The song became a #4 hit on both the Billboard pop and R&B singles charts in July of 1969. Wonder also released Spanish- and Italian-language versions entitled "Mi Querido Amor" and "My Cherie Amor", respectively. Here's cover of that classic tune, There is only one Stevie Wonder I make absolutely no bones about that but who hasn't sung this one at one time or another just cause it's one of those classic tunes known the world over. But I should have probably recorded this 20 years ago (grin) Anywho, Thank you so much as always for stopping by and taking a listen, I am very appreciative of this great community and the great friends o have made here, Peace and Love! =M=

Smoog is an Original Song written by Chris Corso: Lead & Rhythm Guitars Grant Walthall: Drums Robert K Burvee: Keyboards & Bass Mauricio Garay: Lead & Background Vocals The track is Called Smoog, this is a strange song recorded about 4 years ago, and I am not even sure what category I would say this is but I was asked to write something about medical institutions and the lack of care and or understanding when it comes to those in need of care, so of course the vision of being restrained in a institution came to mind and it turned into this track ....but it was fun to do and I hope you give it a shot and let me know what you think. As always my many thanks for stopping by. Peace and Love =M= Video clips from vlinevfx who completed his Masters at Teesside University and put together this fantastic piece of work he calls "Surreal Animation"Also From Hachit an excerpt from the short called Lobotomy, many thanks for the visuals for this sound track. Electro pads to my head there sticking, the hands won’t move but the clock keeps ticking The fading face when they start me dreaming, flip the switch once again I’m leaving Purple Haze in the clouds there singing, they smoog again and the ears start ringing Hold me down with the jet flames burning, grinning eyes from the twist and turning Jet flames burning see them twist and turning Saddle up gonna ride the horses The skinny Steele gives me love in doses Padded walls when the runway closes, laugh it up I’m only getting closer Runway closes I’m only getting closer They strap them round making sure there tighter, tap the vein so they can kill the fighter Let it flow with the fingers tapping; the needles here just to make it happen Fly High and up and away into space we will go and be free Just standing there with my poor brain leaking, blasting off to the stars I’m streaking Wipe your eyes don’t you cry little boy everything will be just fine- in time When you awake the very heavens will sing the praise of your name See the shells falling down to the ground his soul is gone but he’s heaven bound (RAP)Round and around and around we go, don't stick me and poke you fat stank ho, tell me why oh why do you have me here, tell me what it is that you think you fear, 8 Miles high I cant feel a thing , the cartwheels spinning in the circus ring, mommy and daddy where can you be, so you can hold on tight and still set me free how exactly will this story end, in a shiny box to the earth they send, I'm laid to rest and no one knows my name, my hands reached out but you never came, Anybody out there so they say, see the black cars as they drive away, A different rap driving down the street, this ones gone we start a brand new beat

Level 42 are an English pop rock and jazz-funk band, who had a number of worldwide and UK hits during the 1980s and 1990s. Their most successful single in the UK was "Lessons in Love", which reached number three on the UK Singles Chart, and number 12 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart, upon its release in 1986. The earlier single, "Something About You" was their most successful single in the United States, reaching number 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. After much success as a live and studio band in the 1980s, Level 42's commercial profile diminished during the early 1990s following a series of personnel changes and musical shifts. After disbanding in 1994, the band reformed in 2001 and continue to tour today "It's Over" is one of five singles from band Level 42's 1987 album Running in the Family. Reaching #10 in the UK music charts the same year, it is one of the band's more popular singles and remains one of the songs they perform live. Here is a cover of that great song, I hope you enjoy and as always many thanks for stopping by. Peace and Love =M= All Copyrights belong to the owner and it aint me! :O)

"Ashes to Ashes" is a song by David Bowie, released in 1980. It made No. 1 in the UK and was the first cut from the Scary Monsters (and Super Creeps) album, also a No. 1 hit. As well as its musical qualities, it is noted for its innovative video, directed by Bowie and David Mallet. The lyrics revisit Bowie's Major Tom character from 1969's "Space Oddity", which he referenced once again in 1995 with "Hallo Spaceboy". The song's original title was "People Are Turning to Gold.Interviewed in 1980, Bowie described the song as "a nursery rhyme. It's very much a 1980s nursery rhyme. I think 1980s nursery rhymes will have a lot to do with the 1880s/1890s nursery rhymes which are all rather horrid and had little boys with their ears being cut off and stuff like that". Years later, Bowie said that with "Ashes to Ashes" he was "wrapping up the seventies really" for himself, which "seemed a good enough epitaph for it". My brother Micheal came over to visit and and out of his Pocket he pulls out an article on David Bowie doing a Jazz album, and starts talking about wanting to get it, and so we continued the evening going back and forth on things like brothers do....the next morning I woke up to go to work and on the news the first thing I heard was that David Bowie had passed. I sat on my bed kind of shaking my head at the loss of this great artist and the irony of talking about him the night before...as if it was meant to be before he was taken to a better place, I am like many aware of what I like to call the real contributors of music legacy's to be passed down to the generations, David Bowie is one of those Artist. Here is one of my personal fav's because I was essentially stoned when I first saw this video and remember sitting there transfixed in awe at the visual and musical delight this was...sitting there numb enjoying his work like so many others. RIP David Bowie

"What's Going On" is a song by American recording artist Marvin Gaye, released in 1971 on the Motown subsidiary, Tamla. Originally inspired by a police brutality incident witnessed by Renaldo "Obie" Benson, the song was composed by Benson, Al Cleveland and Gaye and produced by Gaye himself. The song, which focused on major seventh and minor seventh chords, and was oriented in sounds by jazz, gospel and classical music orchestration, was mainly viewed as a meditation on the troubles and problems of the world, proving to be a timely and relatable release, and marked Gaye's departure from the Motown Sound towards more personal material. Later topping the Hot Soul Singles chart for five weeks and crossing over to number-two on the Billboard Hot 100, it would sell over two million copies, becoming Gaye's second most successful Motown song to date. The song topped Detroit's Metro Times list of the 100 Greatest Detroit Songs of All Time, and in 2004, Rolling Stone magazine ranked it the fourth greatest song of all time, in its updated 2011 list, the song remained at that position. It is also included in the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame's 500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll list, along with two other songs by the singer. It was also listed at number fourteen on VH-1's 100 Greatest Rock Songs. Here is a cover of that great song, I am under no illusion about bringing anything new to this classic but at least I can cross it off my bucket list!! That's pretty much it!! Except for a big thank you as always for stopping by and taking a listen!! Much appreciated!! Peace and Love =M=

"The Weight" is a song originally by the Canadian-American group The Band that was released as Capitol Records single 2269 in 1968 and on the group's debut album Music from Big Pink. Written by Band member Robbie Robertson, the song is about a visitor's experiences in a town mentioned in the lyric's first line as Nazareth. Pitchfork Media named it the 13th best song of the Sixties, and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame named it one of the 500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll. The Stylistics are a soul music vocal group, and were one of the best-known Philadelphia soul groups... read more of the 1970s. They formed in 1968, and were composed of singers Russell Thompkins, Jr., Herb Murrell, Airrion Love, James Smith, and James Dunn. All of their US hits were ballads, graced by the soaring falsetto voice of Russell Thompkins, Jr. and the lush productions of Thom Bell, which helped make the Stylistics one of the most successful soul groups of the first half of the 1970s." During the early 1970s, the group had twelve consecutive U.S. R&B top ten hits, including "Stop, Look, Listen", "You Are Everything", "Betcha by Golly, Wow", "People Make the World Go Round", "I'm Stone in Love with You", "Break Up to Make Up", and "You Make Me Feel Brand New". This is a cover of People Make the World Go Round, and it is not the sweet falsetto of Russell Thompkins, who I was fortunate enough to see with the Stylistics but was one of my favorite of theirs because it was a message song with a much darker tone and not one of their usual love ballads. But I Love the tune and wanted to take a crack at it.....Anywho!! A zillion thanks as always for stopping by and taking a listen!! Peace and Love =M= Trashmen didn't get my trash today Oh, why? Because they want more pay Buses on strike want a raise in fare So they can help pollute the air But that's what makes the world go 'round The up and downs, a carousel Changing people's heads around Go underground young man People make the world go 'round Wall Street losin' dough on ev'ry share They're blaming it on longer hair Big men smokin' in their easy chairs On a fat cigar without a care But that's what makes the world go 'round The up and downs, a carousel Changing people's heads around Go underground young man People make the world go 'round

"What You Won't Do for Love" is a blue-eyed soul-styled single written by Bobby Caldwell with Alfons Kettner, which Caldwell recorded for his eponymous debut album, released in 1978 on the TK Records label When it was released to R&B radio, TK Records did its best to shield Caldwell's identity (Caucasian) hoping not to alienate its predominantly black audience. However, when Caldwell began making performances live on stage, it only increased demand. The song would become Caldwell's most successful single and also his signature song reaching number 9 on the Billboard Hot 100, number 6 on the Hot Selling Soul Singles chart, and number 10 on the Easy Listening chart. Pretty much one of the most recognized R&B songs ever, of the 70's and covered by anybody that was playing the top 40 circuit back in the day, Timeless this song will be coved again and again. I know I had to cover it few times myself, but this one never got old playing all those years, I hope you like and thanks a zillion as always for coming by and taking a listen. Peace and Love =M=

"God Bless the Child" is a song written by Billie Holiday and Arthur Herzog, Jr. in 1939. It was first recorded on May 9, 1941 under the Okeh label. Holiday's version of the song was honored with the Grammy Hall of Fame Award in 1976. It was also included in the list of Songs of the Century, by the Recording Industry Association of America and the National Endowment for the Arts. In her autobiography Lady Sings the Blues Holiday indicated an argument with her mother over money led to the song. She indicated that during the argument her mother said the line "God bless the child that's got his own." The anger over the incident led her to turn that line into a starting point for a song, which she worked out in conjunction with Herzog. In his 1990 book Jazz Singing, Will Friedwald indicates it as "sacred and profane" as it references the Bible while indicating that religion seems to have no effect in making people treat each other better. The lyrics refer to an unspecified Biblical verse: "Them that's got shall have, them that's not shall lose, so the Bible says, and it still is news. . . . " This likely refers to Matthew 25:29 or Luke 8:18. It is my honor once again to work with Mr. Guitar himself, The Great Brice Cross on a rendition of this classic song. We hope you enjoy it, and as always my many thanks and gratitude for dropping by for a listen!! We appreciate it very much. Peace and Love =M=

Losing You is a rock ballad by The Heavy Metal group Dream Evil. I recorded the vocal on this song about a year and a half ago, I was never really happy with the mix, too much reverb, I ran across the folder and thought since I have a newer version of my recording/mixing application, I would do a quick remix for my Youtube channel , since I never posted it there, The app has a bunch of new mixing functions and the result was a lot better mix than the original mix, at least in my ears :O) Anyway I thought you all might indulge me in a little re-hash and remix of Losing You by Dream Evil. Additional details on the band can be found my old posting of this great rock ballad. I hope you like it (again) and thanks a zillion as always for stopping by, Peace and Love =M= In the dead of the night As the candles die out I'm watching her going to sleep She has to be strong She's left all alone I have to go out in the fields You're all I ever wanted There's just pain without you But something came between us, my love Words cannot express The sorrow I feel I wish I could turn back time To where we began Where love has no end And you and me were as one You're all I ever wanted There's just pain without you Hear the angels cry in heaven, my love I'm scared I might be losing you and I don't know which way to turn I feel I might be losing you I can't live my life without your love The sound of your breath The smell of your hair The touch of your golden skin They keep me awake Through out every night To think of what might have been You're all I ever wanted You're my life and my lust I could never mean to hurt you, my love I'm scared I might be losing you and I don't know which way to turn I feel I might be losing you I can't live my life without your love I have fought so many battles I have suffered so much pain Without you to love and hold me All of this would be in vain I'm scared I might be losing I feel I might be losing you I can't live my life without your love I'm scared I might be losing you and I don't know which way to turn I feel I might be losing you I can't live my life without your love

"Harvest for the World" is a 1976 single released by The Isley Brothers on their T-Neck imprint. It was from their 1976 album Harvest for the World. One of their socially conscious singles (about world peace), the song was composed by Ernie Isley, who wrote most of the lyrics, together with Marvin Isley and Chris Jasper, with additional lyrics and musical arrangements added by the three original members O'Kelly, Rudolph and Ronald. As on many Isley Brothers records, Ronald sung lead on the song while his older brothers O'Kelly and Rudolph usually backed him up. The song became a top ten R&B hit, peaking at #9, and peaking at #63 on the Billboard Hot 100. It was a bigger pop hit in the UK, reaching #10 on the UK Singles Chart. Here is a cover of that song I was fortunate enough to see the Isley Bros in concert during there Funk years!! On a rotating stage with fog machine and all!! At 16-17 years old and a little intoxicated it was a dam fine show. I would like to dedicate this to our own Silky smooth voice Mr Chet Fortune!! For all the great music he has shared with us and for being one classy guy!! Cheers!!! I hope you enjoy and as always my many thanks for stopping by and taking a listen!! Peace and Love! =M= Photo by Alex Potter. All babies together, everyone a seed Half of us are satisfied, half of us in need Love's bountiful in us, tarnished by our greed When will there be a harvest for the world A nation planted, so concerned with gain As the seasons come and go, greater grows the pain And far too many feelin' the strain When will there be a harvest for the world Gather every man, gather every woman Celebrate your lives, give thanks for your children Gather everyone, gather all together Overlooking none, hopin' life gets better for the world Dress me up for battle, when all I want is peace Those of us who pay the price, come home with the least Nation after nation, turning into beast When will there be a harvest for the world? When will there be? I wanna know now, now When will there be, a harvest?

"Dreamer" is the third track from Ozzy Osbourne's album Down to Earth, which was released on October 16, 2001. The single peaked at number 10 on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Tracks. The song describes the rockstar's vision of a better world for his children, where they are happy and safe. The song itself is thematically and musically similar to Lennon's "Imagine". In the liner notes to Osbourne's Prince of Darkness box set, Ozzy refers to this song as his "Imagine". Ozzy has named John Lennon many times as his hero. Here is a cover of that song, this one goes out to Fanda's own "The Crazy Cracks" who have covered Black Sabbath - Ozzy and other great rock bands, and once you get hooked on the Crack there is no turning back, Thanks for the great music Taka, James, Brice, Marc and all the other great players who have joined and of course to my buddy Senior Paul Hoppe for all laughs and smiles I get from him!! As always a million thanks for coming by and taking a listen. Peace and Love =M=

"Let 'Em In" is a song by Wings from their 1976 album Wings at the Speed of Sound. It was written and sung by Paul McCartney and reached the top 3 in the United Kingdom, the United States and Canada. It was a No. 2 hit in the UK; in the U.S. it was a No. 3 pop hit and No. 1 easy listening hit In Canada, the song was No. 3 for three weeks on the pop chart and No. 1 for three weeks on the MOR chart of RPM magazine. The single was certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America for sales of over one million copies It can also be found on McCartney's 1987 compilation album, All the Best! The song starts with the sound of a doorbell, chiming the first eight notes from the Westminster Quarters, before the rhythm begins. The lyric name-checks several famous people as well as McCartney's paternal aunt Gin and his brother Michael. Phil and Don Everly (known as the Everly Brothers) are named along with Martin Luther. Uncle Ernie is named; this was the character Ringo Starr sang in the London Symphony Orchestra's recording of the Who's Tommy. "Let 'Em In" is noted for the false fade out, which, however, becomes loud for the last two notes of the song as it ends. The song makes use of the piano, drums, brass, including a trombone solo, and wind instruments, featuring flutes, plus backup vocals from Linda and other members of Wings. Here is a cover of that great song, And again Forgive the sacrilege but temptation gets a win every once in a while :O) I remember being a kid and rat a tat tatting to this on a cheap snare drum as it played, and marching around as I played...glad there's no video of that :O) Just another great song from Sir Paul that provided yet another great memory. I hope you like and My many thanks as always for coming by for a minute to visit. A beautiful day to all. Peace and Love =M=

"Lessons in Love" was a single from the British band Level 42, released in 1986, from the album Running in the Family (released one year later). This single is the band's biggest hit, in their homeland, where it reached no. 3 on the UK Singles Chart, and internationally, entering the Top 10 in numerous countries; even reaching the no. 1 spot in some of them (Germany, South Africa, etc.). It's also one of the few singles from the band that broke into the Billboard Hot 100, where it reached no. 12 in 1987. It is the first of five singles from their 1987 album, Running in the Family, and it made way for the success of other singles from the album. I had heard Level 42 prior to this Song/Album but agree with most that this was their best work and album. I was able to see them live in concert where the lead singer Mark King had a bass that had red L.E.D.'s on the frets/neck not necessary for any great bass player but I have to admit it looked cool has hell on stage. And of course I got to see and hear what a fantastic Bass player he is and they of course they played all their hits and I was a happy puppy. Here is a cover of that song and I would like to dedicate this to the one and only Fanda Legend SAM AKA SA.GO.BA!!! Who some here on Fanda have referred to as the king of the 80's but to me he's just A King!! And he probably doesn't even like this song ..I have no clue but figured he might enjoy it...He He! and why not ( A Robert Deppe quote :C ) Anyway hope you like it, and as always a zillion thanks for coming by and taking a listen. "The Scientist" is the second single from British alternative rock band Coldplay's second studio album, A Rush of Blood to the Head (2002). The song was written collaboratively by all the band members for the album. It is built around a piano ballad, with its lyrics telling the story about a man's desire to love and an apology. The song was released in the United Kingdom as the second single from A Rush of Blood to the Head and reached number 10 in the UK Charts. It was released in the United States as the third single and reached number 18 on the US Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart and number 34 on the Adult Top 40 chart. Critics were highly positive towards "The Scientist" and praised the song's piano ballad and falsetto. Several remixes of the track exist, and its riff has been widely sampled. The single's music video won three MTV Music Video Awards, for the video's use of reverse narrative. The song was also featured on the band's 2003 live album Live 2003 and has been a permanent fixture in the band's live set lists since 2002. This is a cover of that song and is dedicated to one of Fanda's own beautiful ladies Janice Zamb who had a request for this great tune, I want to thank her for all the support she has given the fanda community and beautiful words of encouragement. She is one classy dame as we would say back in the day before political correctness came along :O) Thanks Janice!!! Band on the Run is the third studio album by Paul McCartney and Wings, released in December 1973. It... read more marked the fifth album by Paul McCartney since his departure from the Beatles in April 1970. Although sales were modest initially, its commercial performance was aided by two hit singles – "Jet" and "Band on the Run" – such that it became the top-selling studio album of 1974 in the United Kingdom and Australia, in addition to revitalizing McCartney's critical standing. It remains McCartney's most successful album and the most celebrated of his post-Beatles works. The majority of Band on the Run was recorded at EMI's studio in Lagos, Nigeria, as McCartney wanted to make an album in an exotic locale. Shortly before departing for Lagos, however, drummer Denny Seiwell and guitarist Henry McCullough left the group; with no time to recruit replacements, McCartney went into the studio with just his wife Linda and Denny Laine, playing drums and most of the lead guitar parts himself. On arriving, it was discovered that the studio was below standard, and conditions in Nigeria were tense and difficult; the McCartneys were robbed at knife-point, during which a bag containing unfinished song lyrics and demo tapes was taken. After the band's return to England, final overdubs and further recording were carried out at AIR Studios in London. In 2000, Q magazine placed it at number 75 in its list of the "100 Greatest British Albums Ever". In 2012, Band on the Run was voted 418th on Rolling Stone's revised list of "The 500 Greatest Albums of All Time". A contemporary review by Jon Landau in Rolling Stone described the album as "with the possible exception of John Lennon's Plastic Ono Band, the finest record yet released by any of the four musicians who were once called the Beatles".It was McCartney's last album issued on the Apple label. Here is what most would call a bad rendition of a great song, I know this guy can't be touched but it was another one of those songs on my bucket list, I recorded so many harmony files for this and lost track of them so I ended up mashing them up hoping to cover up my many mistakes :O) , it's not all that but then again neither am I, but I love music like a bad drug so I keep doing it. Hope you like my sincere attempt if nothing else on this great tune, and as always my many thanks for coming by and taking a listen I appreciate it very much!! Peace and Love =M=

"Knockin' on Heaven's Door" is a song written and sung by Bob Dylan, for the soundtrack of the 1973 film Pat Garrett and Billy the Kid. Released as a single, it reached #12 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. Described by Dylan biographer Clinton Heylin as "an exercise in splendid simplicity,"[1] the song, measured simply in terms of the number of other artists who have covered it, is one of Dylan's most popular post-1960s compositions. Members of the Western Writers of America chose it as one of the Top 100 Western songs of all time. I had the pleasure and honor of working with one of Fanda's great guitar players keeping the blues alive for us, the one and only Franck Szypura , Franck played all the parts on this Song, with the exception of the drums who were supplied by Fandalism's very own HG Schmitz!!! We hope you enjoy the rendition of Bob Dylan's classic and as always so many thanks for coming by to take a listen, always appreciated!! Peace and Love

William Edward DeVaughn Jr. (born November 28, 1947, in Washington D.C. is an American R&B/soul singer, songwriter and guitarist, best known for the million-selling hit song "Be Thankful for What You Got" in 1974. DeVaughn was a salaried government employee as a drafting technician and part-time singer. DeVaughn wrote a song called "A Cadillac Don't Come Easy", which was eventually re-written to become "Be Thankful for What You Got", in 1972. He spent 900 dollars towards getting it recorded The record sold nearly two million copies on its release in spring 1974, reaching #1 on the U.S. R&B charts and #4 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.[6] The track saw two chart entries in the UK, with the record peaking at #31 (1974) and also #44 (1980), in the UK Singles Chart.[7] With a sound and content influenced by Curtis Mayfield, its simple and encouraging lyrics hit home, to the extent that it became featured on gospel radio stations. When his success as a recording artist seemed guaranteed, DeVaughn quit his government job. On sites like Youtube Devaughn is often confused with Curtis Mayfield but Curtis never recorded "Be Thankful ForWhat You Got or A/K/A/ Diamond In The Back ... "Something" Is a song written by George HarrisonSomething In The Way " is a song written by James ... read moreTaylor that appeared on his 1968 debut album for Apple Records, James Taylor. It has also been covered by other artists, including Tom Rush and Harry Belafonte. The opening line inspired George Harrison to write the #1 Beatles' song "Something." George Harrison liked "Something in the Way She Moves" so much that he used the beginning as the first line of his 1969 song "Something" from the Beatles album Abbey Road, which was also released as a single and reached #1. Early in the development of "Something," Harrison had expanded the opening of this song to "Something in the way she moves / Attracts me like a pomegranate," using the word "pomegranate" simply as a place-holder until better words could be found.Taylor has stated that "I never thought for a second that George intended to do that. I don't think he intentionally ripped anything off, and all music is borrowed from other music. So completely I let it pass." Taylor also acknowledged that the ending of "Something in the Way She Moves" was taken from the Beatles' song "I Feel Fine" and so "what goes around comes around To me no cover can touch the Beatles of course we all love their music very much and it's pretty much sacrilege when you mess with their stuff, but who can resist it probably the bigger question, and one that I now fail, I hope you like just a little this cover of Something. I had the honor and pleasure of performing with the great Chris Reid and the one and only Guitar king of smooth….. Valentin “Smooth Val” Vasilev on a rendition of “I Want To Ta Ta Ya Baby” a great blues/funk song as originally recorded by the late great Johnny 'Guitar'" Watson. As always it was much fun working with two outstanding musicians and we hope you will enjoy this offering for your musical edification, and we thank you very much as always for stopping by to take a listen, Peace and Love as always. Cheers! =M= John "Johnny 'Guitar'" Watson, Jr. (February 3, 1935 – May 17, 1996) was an American blues, soul, and funk musician and singer-songwriter. A flamboyant showman and electric guitarist in the style of T-Bone Walker, Watson recorded throughout the 1950s and 1960s with some success. His creative reinvention in the 1970s with disco and funk overtones, saw Watson have hits with "Ain't That a Bitch", "I Need It" and "Superman Lover". His successful recording career spanned forty years, with his highest chart appearance being the 1977 song "A Real Mother For Ya Watson, a recognized master of the Fender Stratocaster guitar, has been compared to Jimi Hendrix and allegedly became irritated when asked about this comparison, supposedly stating: "I used to play the guitar standing on my hands. I had a 150-foot cord and I could get on top of the auditorium – those things Jimi Hendrix was doing, I started that shit. "Frank Zappa stated that "Watson's 1956 song 'Three Hours Past Midnight' inspired me to become a guitarist". Watson contributed to Zappa's albums One Size Fits All (1975), Them or Us (1984), Thing-Fish (1984) and Frank Zappa Meets the Mothers of Prevention (1985). Zappa also named "Three Hours Past Midnight" his favorite record in a 1979 interview. He modified his music accordingly. His albums Ain't That a Bitch (from which the successful singles "Superman Lover" and "I Need It" were taken) and Real Mother For Ya were landmark recordings of 1970s funk."Johnny was always aware of what was going on around him", recalled Susan Maier Watson (later to become the musician's wife) in an interview printed in the liner notes to the album The Very Best of Johnny 'Guitar' Watson. "He was proud that he could change with the times and not get stuck in the past". Watson died of a myocardial infarction on May 17, 1996, collapsing on stage while on tour in Yokohama, Japan. His remains were brought home for interment at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Glendale, California. I had the Honor of watching Johnny Guitar Watson perform before his passing and his legendary status was more than deserved after watching his performance.

Was it you who said the swallows will always sing their song Was it you who said that lovers are forever loyal and strong Unrehearsed lines that were great words so many years ago Did you think time would forget you, and so the story goes And I said Oh what the wind brings one can never know x2

A Fandalism Collaboration: "On Broadway" is a song written by Barry Mann and Cynthia Weil in collaboration with the team of Jerry Leiber and Mike Stoller. The song was a hit for the Drifters in 1963, reaching #9 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has been recorded by many artists such as the Coasters, the Dave Clark Five, the Chipettes, Bobby Darin, Percy Faith, Tom Jones, Johnny Mathis, Frank Sinatra, Nancy Sinatra, Neil Young, George Benson's version of "On Broadway," from his 1978 album Weekend in L.A., hit #7 on the Billboard Hot 100 and #2 on the soul chart. The George Benson version also has had substantial adult contemporary and smooth jazz radio airplay ever since. It won a Grammy Award for Best R&B Vocal Performance. Recently Mr. Brice Cross and "Senior" Paul Hoppe recorded a great instrumental version and Brice asked if I would be interested in doing some vocals on it, I almost said no because this is a deceptively difficult tune with 2 modulations and how easy George Benson made it sound with his smooth high range voice, needless to say I am no George Benson, that’s for sure, but I do love the song and my fellow Fando-mates and so down to Broadway we went. We hope you will enjoy this cover of George Benson's version of On Broadway with the one and only Brice Cross on The Guitars and my buddy Senior Paul Hoppe on all the other noise as he likes to say :O) It was my honor to play with these two great musicians and friends!! As always Thanks for stopping by and peace and love. =M=

Here is a cover of My Way as recorded by the Chairman of The Board, "My Way" is a song popularized by Frank Sinatra. Its lyrics were written by Paul Anka and set to music based on the French song "Comme d'habitude" composed in 1967 by Claude François and Jacques Revaux, with lyrics by Claude François and Gilles Thibault. "Comme d'habitude" had in turn originally been written in English, titled "For Me". Anka's English lyrics are unrelated to the original French song or the earlier English version. "My Way" is often quoted as the most covered song in history, and that's easy to see when you have such a timeless classic. I gladly join the millions who have sung this song one time or another. As always Peace and Love and Thanks for taking a listen. =M=.

Amor Eterno (Love Eternal) Here is a cover of "Amor Eterno" by the one and only Juan Gabriel, with English lyric translation: Juan Gabriel wrote this song when his mother passed, his love for her has made this one of worlds anthem for mothers everywhere and the sacrifices they make everyday that we sometimes hardly even notice. God Bless all the Mothers of the world. As always Peace and Love. Thanks for stopping by =M= You are the sadness in my eyes That weep in silence for your love I look at myself in the mirror and see my face The time I've suffered because of your goodbye I force my thoughts to forget you Because I'm always thinking of yesterday I'd rather be sleeping than awake Because of how much it hurts that you are not here How I wish, that you had lived That your little eyes never had closed And to be looking at them Love eternal and unforgettable Sooner or later I will be with you To continue loving each other I have suffered so much due to your absence Since that day up to today, I'm not happy And even though tranquil is my conscience I know that I could have done more for you Dark solitude I am living, The same solitude of your grave You are the love of which I have The saddest memory in Acapulco How I wish, that you lived That your little eyes never had closed And to be looking at them Love eternal and unforgettable Sooner or later I will be with you To continue loving each other

Mauricio Garay and Dmitry Panich play a cover of Just The Way You Are. Everybody and their mother has covered this song at one time or another and as my friend Robert Deppe would say...and why not!!! Hope you enjoy this take with my good friend Dmitry Panich on the keyboards and programming. As always Peace and Love and many many thanks for stopping by. Cheers =M= Just the Way You Are" is a song by Billy Joel and the third track from his 1977 album The Stranger. It was Joel's first US Top 10 (reaching #3) and UK Top 20 single, as well as Joel's first gold single in the US. Joel revealed that the inspiration for writing this tune (more specifically the name of the song and how it sounds in the chorus) was directly taken from the last line in the Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons song "Rag Doll;" which incidentally was also a larger inspiration for Joel's later song, "Uptown Girl". The song, which Joel had written for his first wife (and also his business manager at the time) Elizabeth Weber, was not liked by either Joel or his band, and Joel had originally decided against making the track a part of the album. But Joel has stated that, at the request of both Linda Ronstadt and Phoebe Snow (both were recording in other studios in the same building at the time), Joel agreed to put the song on the final mix

"Recesses" An Original piece written and performed by Chris Corso - Guitars Rob Burvee -... read more Keyboards/Bass (RIP) Grant Walthall - Drums Mauricio Garay - Vocals This song was originally written to bring attention to Autism for a friend of Rob Burvee the keyboard player on this track who recently passed away from cancer, his friend was one of those who dedicated her life to helping children with Autism, he was moved by this and wanted to write a song with this in mind. The Track is called Recess's and one of the symptoms of Autism.....the definition is below..... re·cess (rss, r-ss) n. 1.a. A temporary cessation of the customary activities of an engagement, occupation, or pursuit. b. The period of such cessation. See Synonyms at pause. 2. A remote, secret, or secluded place. Often used in the plural. The lyrics are based on a poem from a young man called Gabriel Anderson who has Autism, I only moved a few words around for the sake of flow..but the heart of the lyrics are his and what he feels and experiences as he lives with Autism. Robert Burvee the Keyboard player was succumbing to cancer and was at a hospice where he slipped into a coma as the mixes for these tracks were finished. The Next day Grant Walthall the drummer on this track went to the hospice with the tracks and played all the tracks for Bob, and although Bob could not respond Grant felt that he liked the tracks and had given him a smile and an OK, That night Robert Burvee passed away. So this track goes out to him may he rest in peace. I hope you like it and thank you so much as always for stopping by. Peace and Love =M=

I was recently called in to assist the Surgeon Of Music DOC PROTOOL in removing some stones from a Patient, some Rolling Stones, They said .....Papa Was A Rolling Stone Written by Norman Whitfield and Barrett Strong as a single for Motown act The Undisputed Truth in 1971. Papa Was A Rolling Stone was released as a single in early 1972, and peaked at number sixty-three on the pop charts and number twenty-four on the R&B charts. Later in 1972, Whitfield, who also produced the song, took "Papa Was a Rollin' Stone" and remade it as a twelve-minute record for The Temptations, which was a number-one hit on the Billboard Hot 100 and won three Grammy Awards in 1973. While the original Undisputed Truth version of the song has been largely forgotten... This is a Cover of the Temptations version of this song. Until I did the research on the song I too did not know about the original version I Only knew "The Undisputed Truth" through their hit song "Smiling Faces" We hope you will enjoy the Temptations rendition and fantastic work once again by the Doctor of music himself Doc ProTool. As always my many thanks for Stopping to take a listen, our thanks and gratitude!! Peace and Love!! =M=

Please check out Moris's Page for a very cool video of this song!! Moris Fabbri is a Guitar Player from Italy, he is a contributor the Fandalism community and is a fri... read moreend that I met here on Fando by of course listening to his music and commenting like we all do when we like what we hear. He is an extremely gifted musician and I highly recommend visiting his page fandalism.com/mfguitar for quite a diverse library of great music he has recorded. I was looking at doing a cover of the classic rock Ballad " More Than Words" as originally recorded by the artists "Extreme" I asked Morris if he would honor me and do the guitar work... I sent him some vocal files and expected to hear a more traditional track with his special flavor but what I got back was something totally different and I must admit I was on the fence at first listen, but after a couple more listens I was blown away with the musicality and what Morris had actually created. Essentially a new song, And with that I would like to invite you to take a listen to this Original Remix of More Than Words with a totally new music track created by Morris, the emphasis is really on the great music created rather than the vocals (especially the bass lines). I hope you will enjoy and visit Morris's page where he has some really great music with other artist and vocalist's. It was a joy to work with him and hope to do more with him. As always Peace and Love and my many thanks for stopping by and taking a listen. =M= I am not getting any emails from Fando for many days now , I have sent request after request for help but of course nothing from them, If I do not respond in time or miss someone, please forgive, I will thank you at one point, please take this thank you for now!! Fly At Higher Game is an original song written by HG Schmitz and Mauricio Garay. HG sent this ballad asked if I would be interested in writing the Lyrics and recording the vocals. Knowing that that this would be no easy task because of how well his songs are structured and not being one to turn down a musical challenge I of course said yes and after listening a few times I was hooked. After I wrote the lyrics I was somewhat reminded of HG's relationship with Hilde and some of the difficulties they face trying to get together sometimes with Hans in Germany and Hilde in Norway. The lyrics are by nature one of where the man thinks he has control of the relationship but in reality it is she who is in control, this does not reflect the actual relationship between HG and Hilde, I don't meddle in other's lives but it does show how the times have changed with regards to relationships in general. Anyway, I hope you will take a listen and enjoy this piece called "Fly At Higher game" As always thank you for coming by and the great support as only the fine folks at Fando can provide. Peace and love.=M= Fly At Higher Game Music: HG Schmidt Lyrics: Mauricio Garay She comes to me on a summers night and with a kiss she holds me tight, I kiss her back but I know it’s time , for her to say I gotta go And with that smile she says to me, can we walk down by the trees, there’s something I want you to see, But my heart already knows She points her fingers to the sky, have you ever wondered why, how the birds can fly so high, did I really know her nameThe time we spent well it was great, and I want you to know I appreciate, the nights that we stayed really late, flying at a higher game Emotions on the floor my breaking heart can’t take no more First you see me, now you don’t, like a magic trick you’ve seen before Her red brown hair the way she stares the empty space when she’s not there, the way she whirls Around and round and on the wall I pound and poundHow she feels I’ll never know, cause she won’t let her feelings show, She won’t wait and she won’t hear; the cold ground catching all my tearsLike a Beatles song I scream those famous words don’t down let me down, But I can’t hold her back I know and just like that………. she is gone Emotions on the floor my breaking heart can’t take no more first you see me, now you don’t, like a magic trick you’ve seen beforeFly High Fly High do you wonder why, Fly High Fly High do you wonder whyPeak-A-Boo, Where are you, Peak-A-Boo, where are you The Whispered words she let me hear right before she disappeared, don’t surrender never fear, the kind of line you’d think I’d say She let me think I had control of the warm words getting cold, the Stale lines now getting old, and now I won’t forget her name…. She fly’s at higher game reach out, reach out, did I really know her name She fly’s at higher game reach out, reach out, and now I’ll never be the sameEmotions on the floor my breaking heart can’t take no more First you see me, now you don’t, like a magic trick you’ve seen before

Wrath of Kings is an Original song written by Dmitry Panich and Mauricio Garay Both Dmitry and myself are big fans of Nightwish a symphonic power metal band from Kitee, Finland when they were with Tarja Turunen and wanted to do a little homage to them. We hope you will take a listen and enjoy. As always peace and love for Stopping by. Thanks =M= The Wrath of Kings: Music: Dmitry Panich Lyrics: Mauricio Garay The empty road the dead of night, the quarter moon hiding in shadows light A broken heart is kneeling down, The falling leaves keep slowly drifting by, upon the winds of change you can hear the cry’s The broken dreams the promised lies The crimson flows from inside A lover’s call from long ago a burning flame and now awakened soul The wrath of Kings the death of songs the teardrops fall on and on The distant lands another fight she was the gift that would set it right A love denied her silent cry A Kingdom’s wish the quest of swords, he lives and dies only to serve his lord And locked away inside his heart the silent cry that he now hides, A lover’s call from long ago a burning flame and now awakened soul The wrath of Kings the death of song the teardrops fall on and on and live the past…

Enough is Enough is a song written by Jay Jr LaMay in 1997, I had the pleasure of working with Fando's own Jerome LaMay, a fantastic singer songwriter from Canada, we talked about doing a song together and we went back and forth with a couple of songs and I remembered that he had a great original song called Enough Is Enough that he sang in French, I suggested it would be cool to do a version in English and Jerome thought that was cool and so we went for it. Looking to do it a little different I asked my musical buddy Dmitry Panich if he would help out and give a new groove to the song and he did just that. Dmitry did a fantastic job and both Jerome and myself were really happy about the new groove and the strong and real message about taking care of our environment...Enough is Enough!! I hope you will enjoy this collaboration with Music and Lyrics by Jerome LaMay. And many thanks Jerome for the honor of letting me sing his song with him!! and thanks to Dmitry and Philippe for all their help. As always Peace and Love for stopping by, If you want to hear the original French version you can hear it on Jay's page fandalism.com/jay66#none (it's really nice in French) Thanks =M= Guitars and Vocals: Jerome LaMay Keyboards and Programming: Dmitry Panich Vocals and Mixing: Mauricio Garay English Adaptation: Philippe Cabay

A Salty Dog is the third studio album by English band Procol Harum, released in June 1969. Having an ostensibly nautical theme, as indicated by its cover (a pastiche of the famous Player's Navy Cut cigarette pack), interspersed with straight rock, blues and pop items A Salty Dog showed a slight change of direction from its predecessors, being thematically less obscure. The title track itself was the first Procol track to use an orchestra. Here is a cover of that song featuring The Surgeon of Music Doc ProTool on Keyboards and Bass and yours truly on the Mic, I hope you will like and as always Peace and Love for stopping by!! =M=

"A Horse with No Name" is a song written by Dewey Bunnell, and originally recorded by the band America. It was the band's first and most successful single, released in early 1972, topping the charts in several countries. It was certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America America's self-titled debut album was released initially in Europe with only moderate success and without the song "A Horse with No Name." Trying to find a song that would be popular in both the United States and Europe, "A Horse with No Name" was originally called "Desert Song" and was written while the band was staying at the home studio of Arthur Brown, in Puddletown, Dorset. The first two demos were recorded there, by Jeff Dexter and Dennis Elliott, and was intended to capture the feel of the hot, dry desert that had been depicted at the studio from a Salvador Dalí painting, and the strange horse that had ridden out of an M.C. Escher picture. Writer Dewey Bunnell also says he remembered his childhood travels through the Arizona and New Mexico desert when his family lived at Vandenberg Air Force Base Despite the song being banned by some U.S. radio stations (including one in Kansas City, Missouri) because of supposed drug references, the song ascended to number one on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100, and the album quickly reached platinum status. The song charted earlier in the Netherlands (reaching number 11) and the UK (reaching number 3) than it did in the United States. The interpretation of the song as a drug reference comes from the fact that "horse" is a common slang term for heroin The song's resemblance to some of Neil Young's work aroused some controversy. "I know that virtually everyone, on first hearing, assumed it was Neil", Bunnell says. "I never fully shied away from the fact that I was inspired by him. I think it's in the structure of the song as much as in the tone of his voice. It did hurt a little, because we got some pretty bad backlash. I've always attributed it more to people protecting their own heroes more than attacking me." By coincidence, it was "A Horse with No Name" that replaced Young's "Heart of Gold" at the #1 spot on the U.S. pop chart. Here is a cover of that song, I hope you will enjoy and as always Peace and Love for stopping by. =M=

"Creep" is a song by the English alternative rock band Radiohead. Radiohead released "Creep" as their debut single in 1992, and it later appeared on their first album, Pablo Honey (1993). During its initial release, "Creep" was not a chart success. However, upon re-release in 1993, it became a worldwide hit. Attendees of Radiohead's early gigs often exhibited little interest in the band's other songs, causing the band to react against "Creep" and play it less often during the mid-to-late 1990s. In 1998, halfway through their OK Computer tour, the band dropped the song from set lists altogether. "Creep" was not played live again until 2001, but it has since reappeared several times on the band's live sets Due to similarities to "The Air That I Breathe", a song recorded by The Hollies in 1973, Radiohead was successfully sued for plagiarism. Consequently, Albert Hammond and Mike Hazlewood are credited as co-writers of "Creep". "Creep" uses a chord progression used in "The Air That I Breathe" in its verse and a melody from "The Air That I Breathe" in the bridge following the second chorus. Here is a cover of this now classic song in it's own infamous right. I hope you like it and as always Peace and Love for stopping by =M= Warning Explicit Language.
