Crawled to the piano bench before I could walk and banged on the keys; so my mama told me. Started piano lessons @ 5, but that didn't last too long. On to band instruments - trombone, trumpet - but that didn't last too long either. Then the drums, and that stuck. Played in lots of rock & roll bands and a degree in music. Switched tracks (software development) and picked up the piano again about 12 years ago.
What was the first concert you ever went to?
Saw the Stones, Yardbirds, Canned Heat, Cream, Hendrix, Blind Faith... but missed the chance to see the Beatles. Lived near the Mississippi River Festival in the 70s and saw Janice Joplin, Van Cliburn, Mahavishnu Orchestra, St. Louis Symphony, and many many others. Lucky guy.
