15 when I got my first bass, I knew when I was about 5 my Grandmother turned me on to Elvis. Then at about 7, a kid in my trailer park traded me Kiss Alive for some baseball cards, then at about 10 started building Flying V's out of race car tracks and cardboard to pretend I was KK Downing. Found Punk & Thrash at about 13....game over...
What gear do you use?
P Basses! All of 'em. Ampeg V4 810! Right now my favorite piece of gear is the studios Trident Series 65! It is like summer love all over again!
Who was your biggest musical influence growing up?
Elvis or Kiss..Because they "used" to rule. Later Cliff Burton and Steve Harris
Are you in a band? Have you been in bands?
No time anymore really. Between the studio and my family I don't really have time to do a band properly. In my mind it takes an insane amount of dedication to be great and I am dedicating my time to make better recordings for others!
What's the biggest audience you ever performed to? What's the smallest?
About 15000 at CPR fest in Biloxi Ms. Did several festival type shows in front 10000+ but did waaaay more shows in front of the bar tender, sound guy, and other bands than any! Amazing enough those were some of the most fun and magical shows I played! I think my favorite was getting to open for Rollins Band at the Fillmore in San Francisco!
You're stuck on a desert island and only get to bring one album with you. What do you pick?
This is not a question I care to answer. I have about 50. I suppose if I were stranded I would attempt to make some type of stringed instrument and wire recording device out of coconut leaves so I could continue to make & hear NEW music.
