How long have you been playing?
Well, according to my mom, I came out singing.. LOL! My entire family plays or sings something.... My grandpa played on The Grand Ole Opry back in the 1950's and I think that is the coolest thing, ever!!
What are you looking for from Fandalism?
People to work with on upcoming projects and meet new people who dig music. I am new here, so forgive me if I am a little slow to respond. I am always looking to work with new musicians and writers on every level.
You can find me on Reverbnation, Twitter, YouTube and FANDALISM BABY!!!!!!!!!!! I have a Press Kit available upon request =-) Rock on my friends... Standing O for ALL of YOU! \o/

What was the first concert you ever went to?
Wow, I want to say it was AC/DC.. and I remember it being VERY LOUD but kick ass. The cannons went off, I nearly s%#t myself. I was with my brothers. Great memories!!
What gear do you use?
I'll come back to this question... I couldn't type it with a straight face =-D I'll explain later!!
Who was your biggest musical influence growing up?
Wow, this would take ALL day! Growing up in a family of musicians is tough! We all had our own taste in music. I LOVE all genres but Susan Tedeschi is MY music GOD.
Are you in a band? Have you been in bands?
I have played in many bands and miss it a lot! Country, blues and rock band mostly... I love being on stage. Update: I am excited to announce that we have finally selected the song that will be my first release!
Here is my bio:
Karen Perry was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida and from an early age developed a passion for music. Born into a musical family, it was evident that Karen inherited that passion, and has gone on to create a unique vocal style that has made her a popular and sought after artist around the Florida music scene.
Her new release "Perfume and Gasoline" was written by Barbara Wilkinson, Sonya Wood and Tony Gunter. It was produced and recorded at QUAD Studios in Nashville TN. It is available worldwide on iTunes, Amazon and CD Baby, and recently released to radio. REQUEST IT! Read music review here: http://forthecountryrecord.com/2013/06/29/introducing-perfume-gasoline-by-karen-perry/
Karen was heavily influenced by a variety of genres, including Classic Rock, Blues, Country, Top 40 and good old fashion Rock'N'Roll, and these combined helped develop her powerful Blues/Country voice.
She has always believed in giving back to her community by offering her talents to a variety of charities and events to help the less fortunate and bring awareness to causes close to her heart.
Karen also founded www.SupportJaxMusic.com. a website that promotes local bands, pubs, clubs, bars and businesses. The site is currently down for maintenance. It is being updated with new features.
Influences:
The Doobie Brothers, Susan Tedeschi, Fleetwood Mac, Chaka Khan & Rufus, Van Halen, Etta James, Bonnie Raitt, Beth Hart, Ann Peebles, Grace Potter, Tracy Nelson, Crystal Bowersox, Ray Charles, Hoobastank, AC/DC, KOKO Taylor, P!NK, Etta James, STYX, Jet, BTO, The Cars, Gavin DeGraw, GNR, Rod Stewart, Miranda Lambert, ZZ Top, Sublime, Ted Nugent, Patsy Cline, Shawn Colvin, Norah Jones, Earth, Wind and Fire, James Taylor and Vince Gill.
"I cant remember a time in my life where music wasnt present. Music heals my soul. It 's therapy for me. It is my best friend and always there. Its so amazing to look out into the crowd and see a foot tapping, a smile on someones face, somebody singing along with me or simply dancing. I am very grateful for the gift Ive been given. My children keep me grounded and my music keeps me sane and it shows when she performs.

If you could jam with anyone, who would it be?
Susan Tedeschi and Ray Charles. I can't pick just one =-)
What's the biggest audience you ever performed to? What's the smallest?
Here we go.. funny story: National anthem in Jax. Fl. at Sky Blast Jacksonville. It was at The Jacksonville Landing and I was so nervous that I failed to realize you could SEE through my outfit... LOL!! I sang my arse off though. Great experience! I would say the entire city plus more were there to witness that hawt mess.... I can laugh about it now. The smallest would be 3... my biggest fans... my kids !
You're stuck on a desert island and only get to bring one album with you. What do you pick?
Grrrrrrrrr! Just one? No can do!! Patsy Cline, Ray Charles, Susan Tedeschi, and Amy Winehouse. I think I could live forever with their music alone. I FEEL THEIR MUSIC.
