Kjell Johansson - Bass - Blue Wind - a Jeff Beck cover A short while ago CJ decided to cover this great Jeff Beck song and invited me and Kent Taylor to play on it. Only CJ can come up with the idea and the ability to take on a track like this. His guitarwork is always a mindblower, and music comes as natural to him as breathing oxygene. Just listen to his keys and arrangements here! Kent´s video is one of the coolest I ever saw, and his work on the drums is just fantastic! He also mixed the whole shibang...it sounds great! This is Jeff Beck´s version of rock´n´roll (from his 1976 album "Wired")...great instrumental rock´n´roll! CJ Berry - idea, arrangements, guitars, keys Kent Taylor - mixing, video, drums Kjell Johansson - bass

Short & Sweet SLMP invite to view/listen to Blind Flight I´m still on a Fando break, but I felt the pressure to post this as a one night stand. Don´t you all just LOVE multiple postings? LOL! There´s so much to say about this fantastic piece of work, about these stunning musicians as well as the greatest guys you can ever imagine. I´ll settle for just saying how proud I am to be playing along side each and everyone of them. Love you guys!

Donnant Donnant - Give and take Jay Lemay left Fando a while ago. And I´m still having a break, but I just remembered I promised him to post this collab we did here on my page too. Donnant Donnant was posted on Jay´s and Brice´s pages last autumn...a brilliant piece from Jay. Brice´s guitar is really special too...so is this whole song. I consider myself lucky I was being asked to play on it. Cheers, Jay! Even if you don´t read this, I hope you´re well and having a great time over there in Montreal :-)

Hulk Joke Jail Plan This is a crazycool piece made by John & Paul Wegner and Kai Liebert. I think they have worked on it for quite some time and the song was pretty much finished when they asked me to play some bass on it...which I of course was more than happy to do...challenging and fun! I just loved the end result and the video is totally amazing! Turn whatever knobs you have up...and enjoy!

JUST A WALK Harry wanted to play some real drums on another one of my songs...I couldn´t be more happy and honoured to accommodate him. The first one he did was "Dark White Breath II" (which I obviously failed to post on my own page here...you can find that one on Harry´s page), and I just loved what he did to that track. The thing with Harry is that he´s a true pro musician/drummer...and makes great videos too. Some of us Fandaliers are really good players and composers, but there are very few of us that you can actually call professionals. Well Harry IS...and I´m so so proud to take part of his unbelievable abilities. He´s a MONSTER! This is a track from 2014 with a half-tempo shuffle feel to it (well...until Harry turned it into the "Thompson study in polyrythmics". No real bass (didn´t have a playable one at the time I composed this), but I fumbled my way through a guitarsolo in the middle :-) Here´s the new version of "Just a Walk" for you...hope you enjoy! Oh...here´s what I told Harry how I felt about his way of playing here: "...it´s like tying the shoestrings from each shoe together and try to walk in all directions at the same time. And yet you make it sound so perfectly normal and casual..."

Why cant we know I´ve been onboard this project since May, it was great and felt complete before I joined. I did my best to ruin it, but the song was simply too good to destroy :-) Great songs are invincible! I just realized the date...one of the darkest days in modern human history. The theme here unintentionally actually fits this date...it´s almost scary. Birth, life, death, unanswered questions... Kaiboard! Sam! Danny! THANK YOU! It has been a pleasure and an honour to work with all of you! This song is posted three times already. Nobody should feel obliged to comment on it here too...I appreciate your comments wherever you post them. (Anybody seen my gong....??)

CONFIDENCE Here´s a really tasty funky poprock track HG composed...actually he doesn´t do any other kind. When he asked me to add some actual bass on it I jumped at the chance to work with this great guy and excellent musician/guitarist/producer/engineer/workoholic. He also wanted me to add a few synth leads, which I also was very happy to do. It is truly fun and rewarding to work with such a hugely talented and hard-working musician...I´m also proud to call him my friend! This is our first collab...I hope there will be more. Dark White Breath II. A song I wrote in December last year. At that time I didn´t have a descent bass, so it was recorded with a "VST bass". After the great adventure with Annemiek and Brice on Dissonant, I decided to keep going and record an actual bass on this track. The TKJ Project started off last summer, and now we´re up to seven tracks...just enough for a mini album. Two musical backgrounds, two personalities and two ways of making/approaching music. None is "better" than the other... So...what exactly is the label on TKJ´s music? I´m at a loss there, but I don´t think I ever heard a mix like this somewhere else. Tompa sacrified SO much time and energy into the project. Creating videos, wrestling with completed songs not meant for vocals at all, mixing and mastering, writing lyrics etc etc...I just sat back and fed him my tracks from a distant past. I´m so fortunate to have a fantastic and talented friend like Tompa from Göteborg. The best! This is the title track from our album "Time after Time" (made from my old song "Seabird"). I hope y´all enjoy! Here´s TKJ 7.0! (If I ever earn a dime or two...or thousands of dollars, haha...from this album I have promised myself to give it all away to someone or something who needs that money more than I do...suggestions?)

No Clues. In Norrland (northern part of Sweden) there live 4,4 inhabitants per square kilometer, in some areas considerably less. Layer upon Layer by TKJ Project. When I initially entered Fando a couple of years ago, I promptly posted two "halftracks" and left. Earlier this year I came back and began to realise the magnitude of this site. I looked around and found so many great persons and brilliant musicians I couldn´t believe my eyes and ears. My problem was that I really didn´t have anything to post (hadn´t actually been playing/composing for years)...until I came to think about my old Korg M1/Atari 1040 adventures. Next..."what the hell is a "collab"...and how is that even possible?? There were tons of them wherever I looked! "Whatever you do, don´t get involved with one of those"...I thought to myself. Months went by, perfectly contempt with posting my oldies. Then the wizard Tompa, the fantastic Master Brice Cross and the stunning pro Cj Berry happened... Still reading and awake? This is the sixth collab with Tompa, my great amigo! From my track "Desert", here´s TKJ Project 6.0! Love you all! Brice Cross added some really pretty guitars on my latest post "Skimmer". This is my mail reply to him when I heard this brilliant guitarwork: "Wow, Brice! Wow! This was your best effort on my music! Such a great idea to use the acoustic sounds from your guitarsynth (?). So tasteful and nicely played on this track you most likely never heard before (I´ve heard it my entire life...lol)! Great video too! The title really translates as "How shimmering was the sea", so the video is perfect! Thank you so much, MASTER Brice!" Enjoy!

Skimmer. On a personal level I don´t really like Evert Taube´s music. He may be an icon in swedish musical history, but to me his music is uninteresting and completely out of date. This is one of his most wellknown songs (composed in 1948). I did this cause someone dared me to. This is "Så skimrande var aldrig havet"...FUSIONIZED. An old track...and also a repost. HOMELESS. I posted a version of this a couple of months ago, with a theme about being homeless and terribly exposed in the street or at some filthy place under a bridge. This is homeless in a larger scale...in an imaginative future. The entire human kind is about to commit an environmental, or political/religious war harakiri (not too farfetched, I guess). Cj Berry is the man behind the brilliant musical enhancement (just listen to how his fretboard lights up like an afterburner...it sizzles) and the fantastic video here. He immediately saw the connection between this kinda cold, hard fusiontrack and the desperate escape of our race off of the planet. I hate this possible future, but I love sci fi...and working with the fearless mr Cj Berry! Here´s Rocket no 3! Enjoy!

Fandoland. After 25 years...finally a NEW song! Composed and recorded last week. No Korg M1 in sigh... read moret here, this time I used my Telecaster and the built-in software synths and drums (own preset in Groove Agent) in Cubase 6. I planned to use my Musicman bass, but I discovered the neck was too heavily deformed. Pic´s from one of my favourite movies... I would never have done this without Fanda. To the wonderful people and fantastic musicians who resides here. Thank you!

This track has little to do with soccer, actually nothing at all. It´s not about anything, it´s just a piece of music I made long ago.

I wish I would have learned to play a real oboe, but after a disastrous attempt on a recorder I decided (right there and then) to direct my focus elsewhere.

Today it´s 27C here, and along came a hailstorm. This old song is about something else.

We live in uncertain times. All throughout history we´ve been saying the same thing...and we always had good reason for it. This one is 5/8 all through...

Back Home (Aguirre III). A piece inspired by the Werner Herzog movie "Aguirre, the wrath of God". Actually it´s the third out... read more of three. The first two may or may not be posted at a later time. Still old stuff from the 90´s...
