How long have you been playing?
Drum lessons at 15 yrs old, first band at age 22. Played clubs and weddings from 1984-1990.
Member of the Newark Boys Chorus at age 11. Sang for Martin Luther King, Sr. at his church in Atlanta. Sang in a Christmas Concert televised on NBC-TV. Sang with Richard Tucker in the opera La Gioconda. Performed Faure Requiem - all while with the Newark Boys Chorus. Performed numerous leading roles in musical theater: high school, college, community theater. Have written many original songs. Enjoy singing lead and harmonies on stereo tracks in which I have removed the original vocals.

What was the first concert you ever went to?
Probably Frankie Valli and the 4 Seasons at the Garden State Arts Center in the early '70s.
I remember my older brother telling me to keep watching for the circular arts center "to take off because it was really a spaceship" as we were leaving... another great early concert was Buddy Rich and his Big Band at The Jetty in Bloomfield, NJ. That was circa 1977, and we stood right in front of the horn section!

Musicians interested in singing harmony in the Freehold, NJ area.
What gear do you use?
Pearl Export Series drum set from the early 1980's. I'm enjoying my Tascam DP-03 8 track recorder as well.
Who was your biggest musical influence growing up?
The 4 Seasons, Beach Boys andd Eagles for their harmonies. Buddy Rich for his drumming. My brother was instrumental (pun intended) in introducing me to their music.
Are you in a band? Have you been in bands?
I played recently with Glenn Lykes Music at a festival and also at a VFW hall. We played mostly 70's classic rock.
If you could jam with anyone, who would it be?
Frankie Valli and the 4 Seasons: playing the drums and singing a harmony part.
What's the biggest audience you ever performed to? What's the smallest?
I was a member of the Newark Boys Chorus in 1973 and we performed a Christmas Concert on WNBC-TV. I would say that was a large audience!
You're stuck on a desert island and only get to bring one album with you. What do you pick?
Steely Dan's AJA would be a good choice: first heard it in the late 70's. Such a clean sound and catchy songs.

Is it too late to post a song written 40 years ago? "Love Is" has a simple melody and message and was the first song I wrote at the age of 20.
