What are you looking for from Fandalism?
I just want to leave my mark in this world, so if I can just get some fan and more people to listen to my musical message id be grateful.
What gear do you use?
I use My Casio Keyboard off course, And my computer DAW NCH system. My Favorite Piece of music I have so far created was my instrumental "I will Always have your back". I am in the process of learning notes etc. as I have played on hearing my entire life.
Who was your biggest musical influence growing up?
My mom. I used to write poems. She use to encourage me to put them into songs. She had an old organ where I used to sit and play on for hours, she eventually showed how to add my rhythm and drums with my melody. I played on hearing though she taught me the basics (do ,re me, fa , so , la, ti, do) I will never forget that, and about the octaves and how scales worked. Unfortunately the organ was damaged, and I never played again until High school.
But there was people who never supported me so I did not believe in me. Not until Rock-bottom made me remember what my mom has taught me and I remembered who I was.
Are you in a band? Have you been in bands?
I started my own 2 man band when I was 21 - but that was a big failure as well due to those people that kept abusing me and my dreams. So now it's just me and a group of other broken and shuffled aside talented people who has dreams and no means of making it come true due to poverty. My Dream Team - consisting of mostly youngsters who is abused or having very bad or poor living circumstances. I would like to help where I can so someone else dnt forget their dreams due to these circumstances, like I did.
If you could jam with anyone, who would it be?
Bok van blerk and Eminem. They Sing what they feel - they genuine, I relate to Eminem his hurt and pain and his always been an inspiration to me. There is no pretense with Bokkie and Eminem.
What's the biggest audience you ever performed to? What's the smallest?
The biggest was my first appearance as MystiQ masked and all, here in Germiston locally at the pub Bonnies, with Tommy Dell. There were about 100 people and it was nerve wrecking yet exciting. Smallest was when I was still just doing karaoke nights at our local pub RA's there was about 7 people cheering me and the only guy that was singing with me.
You're stuck on a desert island and only get to bring one album with you. What do you pick?
Many souls One Destiny !!! (I rose up from the dead- Yeah baby I'm ahead, I'm higher than I could ever be! I have no doubt, Cause I believe in me!) Still not a complete master piece, but It is the song That I wrote when MystiQ was Born and the only song that gets me through tough times since then.
