I started playing the Alto Sax at the age of 12 in public school and I have loved it ever since. In my early 20's I stopped playing the Sax and have started playing again in my mid 30's. My interest in Piano started during High School and I have played around with it off and on over the years.
What gear do you use?
I play on a 1974 Yamaha Vito LeBlanc and had it custom engraved. I also play the Piano and enjoy the different sounds and instruments on my Casio Keyboard. My favorite piece is the Saxophone hands down. You can check my photos for pictures of the beautiful design done on the Saxophone by my girlfriend.
What are you looking for from Fandalism?
I would like to have my music heard by as many people as possible and to possibly collaborate with other talented artists. I also look forward to hearing a wide variety of music and talents.
Who was your biggest musical influence growing up?
My greatest musical influence growing up would have to be my High School music teacher Terry Duncan. I enjoy all types and forms of music, David Sanborn, Warren Hill, Dave Koz and Smooth Jazz Performers have definitely influenced my sound and technique.
Are you in a band? Have you been in bands?
I have been in a few little bands, mostly jamming and one actual gig with some friends. I played in the Concert Band and Stage Band during High School and also played First Chair with the Carleton University Concert Band for a couple of years.
If you could jam with anyone, who would it be?
I would love to jam with The Piano Guys. I think they are super talented and all of their music is beautiful, melodic and unique.
You're stuck on a desert island and only get to bring one album with you. What do you pick?
I would bring "(2006) - Yanni - Live! The Concert Event". That has some of the best music and I have probably listened to the entire CD over 1500 times and still love it!!!
