Jesus was a troublemaker with a bleeding heart. I saw it in a picture.
What was the first concert you ever went to?
Elvis was king and I was 12.
What gear do you use?
Fender Tele, 52 reissue. 1976 Fender Twin Reverb, Martin and Taylor acoustics...I love my Taylor 420. I sing.
Who was your biggest musical influence growing up?
Rebels and dead dogs.
Are you in a band? Have you been in bands?
I’ve been in enough bands to appreciate it and enough to loathe.
If you could jam with anyone, who would it be?
You know, I just don’t care. I currently play and record with Matthew Williams, and have played and recorded an album with Mike Barnes--I’m good.
What's the biggest audience you ever performed to? What's the smallest?
Probably with Praying for Rain at the Cotton Club, in Atlanta Ga. Or, it might have been opening for Southern Culture on The Skids, at the Cotton Club, or was it Smith’s Olde Bar, Atlanta. One of my most memorable gigs was in Spartanburg S.C., at the Music Camp, April 2012. This show was meaningful because it happened just when I needed it most.
You're stuck on a desert island and only get to bring one album with you. What do you pick?
I’m not going to get stuck on a desert island. I’m not going there.
