"Seaside Lullaby" Mark Taylor and Glenn Basham Once again my friend Glenn Basham took an instrumental of mine and added lyrics to it and made a video for the song, and this is the result. I had posted the original song not long ago, Glenn heard it, and presto, a new song. My thanks to Glenn and both of our thanks to all who listen and comment.

City on the Edge of the Universe - The Moon Shadows Glenn Basham composed a song back in 1983 that had a "Doorsy vibe" called "City on the Edge of the Universe". He was inspired by the music of The Doors, so he decided to compose this song in the style of Jim Morrison and The Doors. Fast forward to 2021. Glenn Basham and the Moon Shadows decided to make their own new version of it as their tribute to Jim Morrison and the Doors. It has been 50 years since Jim has left us. We hope you enjoy this tribute. "With Trees" Here is a cover song from the band Korpiklaani. Korpiklaani (Finnish: The Backwoods Clan) is a folk metal band from Finland who was formerly known as Shamaani Duo and Shaman. While other folk metal bands began with metal before adding folk music, Korpiklaani started with folk music before turning metal. In this song, Kristen gets to show off her talents as a multi-instrumentalist playing the violin, recorder, and keyboard. Mark plays the guitar and bass. And as always, we thank you all for listening and commenting.

"Test Test Enough" This one is a little different. A short song with very few lyrics. It's a cover from the band Chevelle, a band I really like. What drew me to this one was the use of delay on the guitar. It is like using a delay effect for the tempo of the song. I asked my friend Melanie Cholie to sing the lyrics, did not think it would work as an instrumental only. This song is off of Chevelle's latest album called Niratias. Hope all that listen like the song, and as always, thanks for listening.

"Back Home Again" Another song re-visited. This was originally written in June of 2005. My son John had left home, out of state, and we had not seen him for quite awhile. Finally, he was able to come home for a visit. It was so great to see him again. After he left, this song came to me while thinking about the nice visit with him. John was Back Home Again. Originally in the key of E Major, I upped it to F# Major, and added more guitars to it. Thanks to all of you who listen and comment.

I decided to re-visit the song and change the key and add more guitars to it. This one was inspired obviously by my Daughter Kristen. I have so many great memories of all we have done together, and the anticipation of all the things we have in our future. Thanks to all of you who listen.

"Circus Of Illusion" The Moon Shadows The Moon Shadows are back with an original song called "Circus Of Illusion" that Glenn Basham composed back in 1983. The Moon Shadows decided to record it in the spring of 2021. The circus theme is actually a metaphor for anything in life or in this world that seems appealing to the eye and to one's mind, but ends up deceiving someone and taking one onto a dangerous path into a nightmarish world. Concerning real circuses, Glenn actually likes those. We hope you enjoy our show! Here is another original acoustic guitar song using a spider capo to get an E major tuning. The song is kind of a jumble of guitar sounds, a lot of open strings since only E major and A major 7th chords are used. I have two melodies kind of going against each other, the main parts of the song have a descending melody and an ascending one going with it. The song reminds me of taking a walk, hence the title. I hope you like my latest endeavor here, and as always, thanks for listening.

"Cemetary Serenade" Here is another song from Ryders on the Storm, myself and Kevin Kapuscinski. Kevin wrote these lyrics dealing with War. Cemetery Serenade focuses on how generational wars affect our children. In our case the character lost both his father and older brother in the same war leaving him with his mom alone to face the world. We hope you all like this one, and thank you for listening. The opening part of the song is When Johnny Comes Marching Home, and I played the tune on the Hurdy Gurdy.

"Come Along For The Ride" Another song that started out as a solo spider capo song, I developed it further by adding some strummed chords, an acoustic bass line, and some melody over the main part. The song is another kind of Happy Uplifting one, save for the part where it goes from a major sound to a minor one. It kinda reminds me of a nice road trip, so I found some drone footage videos of cars and roadways to illustrate the song, also one video of a huge concert crowd dancing. Looks like they are dancing to my song. As always, thanks to all of you who listen.

"Fairy Tales" Here is another from Ryders on the Storm. My friend Kevin Kapuscinski once again gave me one of his songs to add to, and this is the result. His song is about religion, about a certain belief, but not to question what God or Jesus is. We hope that this song will find an audience that can relate to the lyrics. I like the lyrics because I think it really exposes the hypocrisy of religion. We thank you for listening.

"The Gist" Here is a cover song from the band Chevelle. Chevelle is an American rock band formed in Grayslake, Illinois, in 1995. The band was originally composed of two brothers Pete Loeffler (lead vocals and guitar) and Sam Loeffler (drums and percussion), along with Matt Scott (bass and backing vocals). Scott was replaced by Sam and Pete's brother, Joe Loeffler in 1996. When Joe left the band in 2005, Geno Lenardo subbed-in as the touring bassist until he was replaced by Pete and Sam's brother-in-law, Dean Bernardini. Bernardini later departed from the band in 2019. In 2021, Kemble Walters joined the band as a touring bassist. This is a band that my daughter Kristen turned me on to. Saw them live in concert a few years back and was floored by the guitar player's talent on stage. To be able to sing, play, and operate what looked to be a complicated floor pedal setup blew me away. This guy Pete Loeffler does some cool and fun to play guitar riffs, and this song here is a short one, but fun to play so I decided to do my own cover of it. It's an instrumental, and is off of their album 12 Bloody Spies, that features B sides and rarities. Hope someone likes this one, it is fun to just make some heavy guitar noise at times.

"Musical Aftermath" This was another solo acoustic guitar song at the start, then I decided to layer some more guitar onto it. Still thought it was missing something, and it hit me that I had not played my Ukelele in long time, so I got it out and put some Ukelele in the background. This is the result. This is in the key of E Minor, so there are a lot of open strings going on. This song sounds best in my opinion through headphones, so use them if you have them. The title kind of came from the mood of the song, reminded me a bit of the aftermath of a moody situation. Had no ideas for the video so I just added some pics of acoustic guitars, music notation, and some Ukeleles. As always, I thank you for listening.

"Smiles Among the Ruins" This song started out as a solo Spider Capo song. I then kind of got the idea to see if I could add more guitar to it. The mood of the song I also thought sort of matched the state of the world we have been living in for the past few years, kind of like living among the ruins. The song also has some bits of happy sounding chords, and it made me think of smiling. So I also got the idea to have some of my friends who have made me smile through their friendship and musical collaborations be in the video I made. They are all The Smiles Among the Ruins. Thanks to all of them. Also, I did something in this one I've never done before, a few times in the song I have two melodies playing together, kind of off of each other. I hope this song finds an audience with my followers and friends. As always, I thank you for listening.

"The Kiss of Venus" Mark and Glenn Basham decided to do their rendition of another new song from Paul McCartney's new "McCartney III' album. They decided to do their rendition of Paul McCartney's song called "The Kiss of Venus". They asked Kristen if she would like to join them and play the harpsichord part and she agreed. Glenn decided not to sing the song in falsetto, but instead, the key of the song was changed to A major instead of being in E major. He also tried to imagine how it might have been done vocally if The Beatles had sung it, so he decided to add vocal harmonies to this rendition. A very enjoyable collaboration! "Noise" Mark and Kristen cover Nightwish again, this one from their latest album “Human. :II: Nature.”. The “noise” which Nightwish talks about in this song is a metaphor for constantly being plugged into the “matrix”. Or a simpler way of putting it is that this song is based on the concept of the modern human dependency on electronic media being a bad thing. And there is a special emphasis on social media, as the band portrays vesting in online personas as being a vain pursuit. So basically what we have here is a song in which the listener is under a constant flux of symbolisms pointing to the aforementioned ideas. And what is all boils down to is the notion that our reliance on computers, televisions and handheld devices has made us lose touch with mother nature. Indeed if we were to turn these appliances off for a decent amount of time we would come to realize “the Earth has a real voice”, as in it creates its own background noise which can get us through the day. As always, we thank you for listening.

"Positive Thinking" This is a song from the group Acoustic Alchemy, It has always been a favorite of mine, the kind of song that always evokes emotions. Acoustic Alchemy is an English smooth jazz band formed in England in the early 1980s by Nick Webb and Simon James. Simon left after two unprofitable albums and was replaced by Greg Carmichael. This is when I thought the band was at it's best, with these two as the main guys. This song here is off of their album of the same name. Sadly, this was the last album that NIck Webb would participate in as he was suffering from pancreatic cancer which eventually took his life in 1998. So this song is especially emotional for me knowing that it was one of Nick's last creations with the group. I asked my friend Mark Fussell to join me in doing this cover and he thankfully agreed. He plays the lead on this plus a cello effect while I play the backing guitar. We both thank you very much for listening.

"Pen And Paper" This is a song written by my two friends Glenn Basham and Kevin Kapuscinski, who call themselves The Moon Shadows. They asked me to add some guitar to their song and this is the result. Kind of a trippy song, and a longer one too. We all thank you for listening.

"Paranoid" Heard this song not long ago and thought it would be a fun one to cover. A friend of mine from New York, Anthony, who goes by the name Frost, was kind enough to do the vocals for me, and I think he sounds a lot like Ozzy here. Thanks to all of you who listen to us.

"Don't Fear The Reaper" Recently I was asked to join in on a collaboration of this classic song by a good friend from facebook and fandalism, Doc Italy. I jumped at it because I was really into this band, Blue Oyster Cult back in the day, and this song was played a lot around my home. Doc let me do all the guitar parts, he and his friend Alfonso Cecchi did the vocals and choirs, and Doc did all the other instruments. The solo on this gave me fits to get down correctly, the timing is so weird in it, but I think I did okay. Thanks for listening to our effort here, and now let the cowbell jokes begin!!

"Forgotten Memory" Another original acoustic piece with my spider capo and Tonewood Amp. I believe this one came about because sometimes all of a sudden random memories that I have not thought about for years, such as a person or being in a certain place, pop into my head without warning. I sometimes find that disturbing, thinking, "why did I all of a sudden think of that?" I think this song kind of has that mood to it, memories long forgotten but still there. Thanks for listening.

"Wintry Morning Stroll" An original acoustic guitar song using spider capos and The Tonewood Amp. Every now and then if I'm up early, I like to take a stroll outside around my community here. Most mornings lately have been foggy and cold, so I'm sure that is where the song idea came from. Thanks for listening.

"Delightful Desire" An original acousric guitar song dedicated to the one person who makes me the happiest, my lovely wife Jane. And excuse the sudden ending, I noticed that someone outside started up a huge engine and it made it onto the recording, so had to edit it out. The entire song is there anyways. Thanks for listening.

"Evil Angel" Mark and Kristen cover Breaking Benjamin once again, this time with an electric version of their song Evil Angel, in drop A# tuning. I finally found an effects pedal that allows you to drop the tuning on the guitar that sounds decent. Been wanting one for awhile so we could do some electric versions of their songs, as most of them are in drop tuning such as this one. As always, we thank you for listening to us.

"Be Nice" An original acoustic song using spider capos and The Tonewood Amp. This one was inspired somewhat because of things I have seen and experienced on Facebook. I've had friends start posting confrontational things and then get upset if I don't acknowledge them or say something they don't agree with. I've been defriended by one individual like that just because I did not comment on every little thing he posted. Too many confrontational things that turned me off. Seems he was not happy unless people were constantly kissing up to him. Things like that are why I don't go on line much, and to those individuals that are guilty of this, I say only one thing: Be Nice. The name of the song is also because the key of this one is in B major. The spider capo tuning is B6. Thanks for listening.
