I guess it started in 1977 when the first cheap synth came out, that and a tape deck, and i was composing my first pieces.
What was the first concert you ever went to?
My friend Adrian Porter and i went to London to hear Tangerine Dream, they played a bit then opened up the electronics and we examined what they had, meeting them in the process.
What gear do you use?
I use the Access Virus and Cubase to build up my constructs,my favorite piece of music is still Sonic Seasonings by Wendy Carlos released in the early 70's.
Who was your biggest musical influence growing up?
I always liked sound manipulation and with the Beatles they impressed me enough to think if i ever played it would be like them, then TangerineDream came along and opened up a new world for me
Are you in a band? Have you been in bands?
Yes i was in a band a two man band with Adrian Porter both playing synths we had known each other for years so it was good to have the support of a fellow artist
If you could jam with anyone, who would it be?
I think Klause Schultz because his music is so open and multi-layered that it is always possible to add another layer
What's the biggest audience you ever performed to? What's the smallest?
We played live several times but didnt get any recognition from them so we gave up gigging
You're stuck on a desert island and only get to bring one album with you. What do you pick?
The more i think about this the more i find it impossible to answer, perhaps it's better to have the memory of all the music i've ever heard mix it in with the sound of the sea surf rippling the shallow beach pebbles and enjoy that,if you know what i mean.....
