I started playing keyboards when I was 8 (1978) years old. My dad bought an old Hammond organ and I started taking lessons. When I was 10 I started playing drums when my dad bought me an 1960's vintage pearl drumset. I played my first paying gig at age 11 in my great-uncle's polka band. I did that for around three years then formed a cover band and played bars, dances, weddings, etc at 14 years of age and have been playing ever since.
What was the first concert you ever went to?
The first big concert I went to was KISS Creatures of the Night tour in Bismarck, ND. It was Vinnie Vincent's first tour with KISS and Eric Carr's first US Tour with KISS. I also happened to be the first night of the Tour as well. My mom & grandmother took me to the concert as a birthday present.
What gear do you use?
I use all kinds of stuff. Mostly like old drumsets and cheap guitars & Basses.
Who was your biggest musical influence growing up?
KISS & John Mellencamp
Are you in a band? Have you been in bands?
I perform a solo act. I've been in many bands through out the years but probably the most notable band would be Eddie & The Shit heads. It was a country/punk/rap band back in the late 1980's. We recorded and self released two albums which sold a combined 5,000 copies from 1987-1989 through mail order and using gorilla marketing techniques.
If you could jam with anyone, who would it be?
I have no preferences.
You're stuck on a desert island and only get to bring one album with you. What do you pick?
KISS Double Platinum - I first heard it 2 days after it was released. I like it because of the great songs.
