I started playing guitar when I was 14 which is around the time I started songwriting, I've sang since I was around eight or nine.
What was the first concert you ever went to?
The first actual concert besides things like Winter Jam, was Paramore. It was in August, 2011.
What gear do you use?
I have a Alvarez Yari, 92'. It is by far my favorite, my dad gave it to me. (More like I stole it)
Who was your biggest musical influence growing up?
Growing up, I remember listening to A LOT of Shania Twain. She was my country all star. I don't play write country music but it's always been something that takes me back to when I first started loving music. Alison Krauss has been in my past a lot and still influences me.
Are you in a band? Have you been in bands?
Currently, I am not in a band. In the past I was in a band called "The Unforsaken". We started as a Church Youth Band but grew to something more. We would play at different shows for awhile and eventually split due to different life paths.
If you could jam with anyone, who would it be?
Del McCoury absolutely! I love his music, definitely Earl Scruggs on the banjo. I'd love to have Bob Dylan playing some harmonica and guitar right along with us. Ideally those three would make my dreams come true.
What's the biggest audience you ever performed to? What's the smallest?
The biggest audience was probably 1000 +. It was also on a local television channel so I really don't know the numbers. It was at the Fiddlers Jamboree in Smithville, TN. It was a competition for am mature musicians. Wound up getting third I think!
You're stuck on a desert island and only get to bring one album with you. What do you pick?
Probably Sam's Town by The Killers. I could listen to every song on that album and never get sick of it. They're my all time favorite and I wish they'd make some more music! I'd heard multiple songs off of the album but as a whole I didn't hear it until one of my ex-boyfriends burnt me a copy of it.
